As he waited for them to come out from reporting to their guild leader, Velis was busy looking over his status again.
"How could "it" seal my essence, is it really a god's doing or something else in play" said Velis
Looking at the new essence and skills he has he began to do what Kensley told him. He used his thought to open a description on some of his skills that are new to him and even tried the sealed ones too.
{Appraisal (God Rank) - A skill that lets the user see any information he wants whether it be a living or non-living. Non-detectable by anyone under its rank}
{Dungeon Transverse (Legend Rank) - Skill that lets the user transverse into any dungeon he has been in without having to go through a gate. Only able to use two a day at current rank.}
{Teleport (Legend Rank) - The user is able to teleport a certain distance at a time. Only able to teleport 100km at current rank.}
{Nullify (Earth Rank) - Able to nullify oneself and others from almost any ailments and or skills at its current rank.
"I really didn't think skills like these were possible but that nullify skills seems to be only good for dispelling poisons and other negative aliments like that" said Velis as he was reading the descriptions
Thinking about his skills for a little while he came back to the {Nullify} skill and thought to himself.
'The ranks can go up by leveling up and being able to use more essence also training them can help too'
"Wait since at the current rank for {Nullify} once I get to the same rank my sealed skills are or even higher. I wonder if I could being to nullify anything" said Velis with interest
Thinking like that he was looking forward to it but stop again as said
"But no matter how high it's rank go it can't truly nullify everything or that would just be way too absurd. What if it could though then I would be able to nullify the universe itself even the void that would make me something beyond a god wouldn't it… That kind of power would never be able to stay unnoticed"
"I want to test it out to see what I can nullify" said Velis
He tested the skill on his arm to see if anything would happen and when he did something unexpected happened. As he controlled how much and where he wanted the skill to work on his arm began to change in multiple ways. It changed from being cut off, smashed, burnt, frozen, eaten, etc.
When looking at it he had an expression of shock in seeing something like this happening. Then he was bewildered as he realized that it was showing or better yet going back to what it once was as it showed all his past injuries.
Even though lots of blood was all on the floor of this big armor truck he was in he didn't pay much attention as he was focused on this unbelievable sight.
'What's going on, how come… Is this what it means to nullify any ailments or skills.. It not only nullifies my regeneration skill it nullifies it to the point before my first injury on my arm. Shouldn't this skill be rank higher than since it could nullify an injury I got thousands of years ago' thought Velis
"If that's the case I wonder what it will do once it's at the God Rank… Let's not overly use it or just disguise it when I use it… seems like they're finished" said Velis as he saw the group of six coming towards the truck
They all got inside and as Kyle was the driver Velis talked
"How was it? Did you tell him what I said about keeping me under wraps for now"
"Yes but he would like to meet you one day if you're free to" said Kyle as he drove the truck out of his guild location as they headed downtown
"Is there anywhere you want to go Velis" asked Kyle
"A library, I want to read more about all the things that have changed now" replied Velis
"May I ask how long have you been asleep" asked Kensley as everyone focused on Velis next words
"It's seems I've been asleep for about a thousand years" answered Velis nonchalantly
"Th-thousand years you say are you being serious" said Dan a little loud as he didn't believe him
"Of course, what benefit do I have for lying about something so unimportant" said Velis
"But.. But" started Dan
"When time comes you'll know if what I said was true or not" said Velis with a smile
'The fact you being more the a thousand years old isn't important to you is what we couldn't believe because that means you been alive during the Great Battle' thought everyone as they were told about that battle in school and went into more detail at the Hunters' Academy
"Well those times were quite different you can say" said Velis
"Y-yeah as you said" said Dan
"So a library then, we'll take you to the biggest one in the city and afterwards you could stay at my place. Then tomorrow we will take you to get your legal documents which is the reason the guild leader wants to meet you since he will be the one who will pull strings in getting them" said Kyle as they came to Royalfalls Library, the biggest library in the city.
"Oh how convenient well that saves me the trouble thank you" said Velis
"No problem after all you gave us so many treasures and that will help boost our guild's ranking and power by a lot" said Kensley
"I have somethings to do so I won't be able to help you while you're inside" said Kyle as he looked at Velis apologetic
"Don't worry Kyle we can help him" said Nicole as she pointed to Mia
"Yes we will help him settle in" said Mia
"What about you two?" asked Kyle to Kensley and Mick as they already knew what Dan had going on
"Normally I would had volunteer first but I have a meeting with someone I can't get out of sorry" said Kensley
"No need you already had an prior arrangement" said Velis
"I'm going to go home and train with the new weapon I required.. Thanks again Velis" said Mick as he bow his head to Velis as he thank him again for the new weapon he was able to get
"Again no need, I gave them to you all because it would have just sat in my storage for who knows how long… Also they suit you all nicely" said Velis as he smiled
Hearing this they all once again express their gradituated towards him and he again told them it's not necessary. As that came to an end the three, Velis, Mia and Nicole, got out and said bye to others as they turned to go inside.
'Buildings have changed a lot, they look more sturdy and they seem to be easy to access since every building around looks to be made from the same materials… Wonder how inside looks' thought Velis
Walking inside he was shocked to see how different inside looks from what he remembered. There're many books, floors, tables, chairs and also a good amount of people inside. He looked around curiously as he saw different races looking at some kind of metal box with a glass like thing that shows pictures and words.
Seeing him looking at them Mia spoke
"Those are called computers, they are connected to the internet that has almost all information about anything you could think of except extremely personal and private family matters unless it becomes public somehow.. Want to try"
"Maybe next time for now I want to looks through the books that contain the world history" said Velis as he followed the two women to the history section on the library in it's own room
"Here we are this is where they put all the history books to" said Nicole as they were the only ones inside
"Not bad, I didn't expect as much.. What will you two be doing or will you be here with me… not that I don't mind" said Velis to the two
"We will stay here with you but do you mind if we ask questions about you and the time before you were in that coffin" asked Mia
"You two believed that I'm over a thousand years old" asked Velis
"We like to believe that there wouldn't be any reason as to why it's not possible as races like elves have long lifespan so why can't you even though you took on an appearance of someone in their teens" replied Nicole
"Actually this is my "normal" appearance what you saw before was my races' transformation appearance" said Velis
"May I ask what is your race, there's nothing in the history books about a race that looks like yours" asked Mia as they both wanted to know out of curiosity
"I would tell you but even I don't know what my race is as I was the only one from what I can remember so that's probably why it's not in them since it's not known what or who I am" said Velis
"You mean you're the last of your race or…" started Nicole but she was nudged by Mia to stop
"That I don't know but at times I feel as if my race is out there somewhere but it's fine my friends and the family I grew up with are here so I'm glad I was able to meet them including the six of you" said Velis two the two who smiled from what he said
After that the next few hours was him reading and talking to the two girls as they grew closer and more comfortable. He told them more about him and the parts of history that weren't true or completely true while they told him about themselves and more about the current world technology and guilds.
They talked and found out lots about each other. He was told things about the other guys but he would have to get the complete details from them one day. It soon became evening time as Nicole received a call from Kyle saying he's back and that he'll take them home before heading to his home with Velis.
He found out soon that Kyle was married and had a son who was six years old. He was more of a trainer than someone who goes into the dungeon everyday. After dropping the two ladies off at their respective places, the two head to Kyle's home. His home was modest and family oriented. It wasn't flashy or overly huge but it can accommodate a couple more people if need be.
It was night time now and after introductions and dinner they talked for more as they got familiar with Velis and the same for him. Saying goodnight to Kyle's son Cale and his wife Rebecka, he showed Velis to one of the guests' rooms. After showing him the room Kyle, who was just about to leave suddenly thought about something important.
"What about clothes do you have any?" asked Kyle
"Don't worry I got that covered, I seen some designs I had copy to blend in so no problem there" replied Velis with a smile
"Okay and tomorrow well be going to the guild to get your legal documents" said Kyle reminding him
"Yeah no problem what time" asked Velis
"In the morning around 9" said Kyle
"Okay" said Velis
"Then night Velis" said Kyle
"Night and thanks for letting me stay" said Velis
"No need for thanks we happy to have you" said Kyle as he shut the door and went to his room
'Nice family reminds me of mines' thought Velis
Drifting off to sleep somewhere in another place unknown to Velis was a man and woman who felt something familiar to them which made them look at each other with smiles.
"It seems you have awakened to "that" now we must do what we can to help you grow" said the man who
"Velis Cadres the Fourth, I hope to see the man you have grown into one day but before that time comes remember you're not alone. You never were sorry or making you feel you were all this time" said the woman with tears in her eyes
"It's okay honey, he will understand when the time comes. Afterall he is $$#@#$" said the man
"You're right he is….. The one that defies reality $$#@#$$" said the woman
Velis soon woke out of his dream as he felt like he forgot something important but can't remember what it was. And thinking about his dream of two unknown people he couldn't see his eyes became wet for some reason as he said
"Why am I crying and who were those two in my dream that I heard. They felt so familiar"
After a while of not being able to understand his dream he soon fell back to sleep as he had things to do tomorrow which will have him busy. But he can't wait to discover more new things he hasn't yet.
