'So this is what guilds look like now… interesting' thought Velis
Looking at the big building they had arrived in front of early in the morning, Velis was getting more curious about the world now. The seven people, including him, made their way inside the Steel Wolf Guild's building. Along their way they greeted and were also greeted by lower and higher rank hunters and personnels.
Velis, who got some looks as he was a new face, was busy looking around at all the new weird things. Stopping in front of a double door, six minutes from the front door, Kyle began to knock on it.
"Come in" was heard from the other side of the door by a deep husky male voice
"Then let's go in, Velis you don't have to worry, he's.. You'll see" stated Kyle
Going inside as Velis was the last person in he first looked around as inside seemed like a place fit for nobles with how practically shiny everything looks. Inside were two sets of couches on both sides of the room with a coffee table in the middle. It was a room big enough to fit about 50 people inside and still have leg space for all.
He was lagging behind a little from looking around
"Have you brought him" spoke the man sitting behind the desk
"Yes vice guild master" replied Kyle as they moved aside to show that they did
Velis, having heard them as he finished looking around, became curious about the man who said that. As they moved to the side he saw the one who's the vice guild master.
He seemed to be in his 20s but seeing his animal-like ears, narrow irises, sharp teeth and hands to go along with long hair and fur that's visible to see. His aura was pretty strong even from what Velis saw already but that was it.
'Have things regressed this much. I wonder how strong the guild master is, is he also a wolfkin like this one' he thought as he observed the man in the chair
"Are you sure this is the one" asked the man towards Kyle
"Yes, why do you ask?" said Kyle confused
"Because from what I feel, his essence power is what people who just awakened has" he said looking at Velis doubtful
"Ah come to think about it, I had felt something was different but I just thought it was my imagingination but now" mumbled Kensley but it was still heard
"What do you mean Kensley" he asked with curiosity
"Well…." he stopped as he looked at Velis as if asking if it's fine
Velis who saw this nod his head as he made a notion that he will tell them what Kensley is talking about since it's not a big deal or anything
"He's talking about when we got out of the dungeon and the essence they felt before suddenly went away or should I say decreased by a lot"
"Decreased but how could something like that happen" replied the vice guild master
"There's two ways that could happened" said Velis
"One way is that, that person has a seal place on them that seals away their essence and essence power to that of a beginner ranker"
"The second is that, that person is at a higher rank than the one who is trying to gauge them"
"Which one are you then" asked the vice guild master with interesting
"That's what I'll like to know" said Velis as he shrugged
"Well for now let's get you registered ah I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself" he said
" Here we go" mumbled Nicole
"Ahem I am the one and only dashing, handsome ladies killer… Heffman Steele of the Silver Wolf Clan and the Vice Guildmaster of the Steel Wolf Guild'' he said with great vigor while holding his hand out to Velis
Velis looked to everyone and he could see them with their heads in their hands as they shook it while saying "how is he the vice guild master".
'Hehe, he reminds me of a friend of mine.. I wonder where he's at now' he thought then proceed to say
"I'm Velis Cadres the Fourth, friends call me Vel, it's nice to meet you Mr.Steele" as he reached to shake hands with Heffman
"Just Heff is fine and to you too Velis"
After that Kyle clap his hands and said
"Now that, that's finally over, Heff is everything ready for him"
"How many times do I have to say it's vice guild master Heff" said Heff
"Do you guys hear him" asked Kyle
"You mean the same guy who left his work unattended for a week because he lost track of time.. What can you do that could make you lose track on the sun and moon coming and going for a whole week" said Kensley
"The same guy who proceeded to flirt with the mayor's daughter…" started Mick
"But she was flirting with me first and…
"And his wife" finished Mick
"See that was just harmless flirting" replied Heff
"Was it really" said Mia
"... Y-Yes" he said less sure of himself
"She kissed you in front of the mayor of all people" said Mia
"See that wasn't my fault, blame my charm and good looks" he said bring back that narcissistic way of speaking
"Did you forget that, that caused the guild to be put on a ban from dungeons right, we're lucky it was only for a couple months and more lucky we still have a guild. You were even luckier to be alive still" said Nicole
"Haha that did happen huh, man good looks can really hurt … I mean I'm reflecting" he said as he was stared at with glares
"Haaaa he won't change will he" said Danny
"No" the others said
"Hehehe… Ahem… anyway we got off topic" said Heffman after clearing his throat
"It's fine, it reminded me of someone long ago" said Velis as he reminisces about his adventurer days
"Long ago, you don't seem to be that old and you look to be human, well you do give off a different smell from humans" he replied back
"Ah sorry, I almost got off topic again… Well to answer your question yes everything is ready for him" said Heffman as he pulled out some documents and gave them to Velis to read and sign
'Kyle must have gave him the information that was needed to make him legal and for the blood he did ask about it so that's why huh' thought Velis as he read some of what he told Kyle and the others then he sign them
"Good now, will you be registering as a hunter in our guild or…" asked Heffman
"Yes I was planning to" replied Velis looking back to Heffman
"Okay then you all head to the evaluation room so we can get a more accurate reading on his essence power and type to display on his guild card" he said to the seven people
"What about you" asked Kyle
"I'll be there after doing something"
"Lost track of time again" said Kensley
"N-no.. just go I'll be there soon enough" replied Heffman as he kicked them out
"Oh and welcome to the Steel Wolf Guild" said Heffman to Velis
"Glad to be a new member" replied Velis as he thought this Heffman guy was quite a funny person even though his character is questionable at times
Once they left they went towards the other side of the building where a huge door was located.
"This is the evaluation room let's head inside and get you set" said Kyle as he pushed the huge door open with ease and strolled in
When inside, Velis looked at the people who were being evaluated and became interested, he then looked to the equipment he will be using which caught him by surprise.
"That is still here?"
