I smiled at my mate as I adored her visible confusion. Everything about her seemed so graceful.
When I first met her I couldn't believe that she was my mate. I had heard about her, the powerful daughter of Alpha Matthew.
Her brother, Merrick, had told us stories about her. He told us how strong she was and how much more of an Alpha she was than he was and that's saying a lot. I had seen how ordinary wolves treated Merrick as if he were an Alpha.
During our training our fathers had sent us to many non-original packs, packs that were under the protection of Originals. They all looked to him as if he were the next Alpha of the Shadows Pack, but Merrick knew otherwise.
