The pureblood werewolf was basically a giant wolf, and when they got their human form, they would still retain their wolf sense. Including canine teeth, wolf ears, and tail as well.
They also kept their wolf sense, even acting like wolves when they saw prey. Thus, they were so easy to spot and hunted down to extinction, making vampires and nightcrawlers the only surviving night creatures in the 21st century.
