Majka and the newly met sat down by the fire in the evening. From what they said, Piwonska concluded that they were chasers. They mainly talked about cars and races. At some point, who started calling: "Bartek Discopolo!" And the rest picked it up. The boy with she had played volleyball, who had a disco ball print shirt, stood up.
"Okay! I'm coming!"
At his words people began to clap. A moment later the boy drove up with a polo. He opened the trunk in which the large speaker was located and turned on some music. A few people started dancing.
Anyone who has watched too many American movies would never say that these people are racing illegally. They're not racing for money, they are racing for fun. There are no fights during the races. Yes, there will be scuffles and insults from time to time, but that's just about it. And about the shootings, everyone present heard only on TV.
If someone saw them now, they would be considered a group of high school or college students celebrating. Probably in this group there will be a few so-called bad boys and bad girls, but most of the present are just big kids who are bored at home and decided to drive a car around the surrounding villages.

Majka could not find Hanka in this crowd. She didn't answer the phone either. And it was time to get home.
Majka kicked a tree.
"Agrh!"
Well, how much Majka was supposed to wait for Hanka. It was getting dark, and they still had to return to the city. She decided to wait for her by her bikes and kept calling her. She leaned against the tree.
"I see I'm not the only one not playing here." Said the man who was leaning against another tree. All she could see was his outline. But she could bet he had been standing there for some time and was watching her.
"It's not your business whether I'm having fun or not." She said.
"You're right." He drank something from the can. "But it's a shame to lose such a pleasant evening to get angry. Apparently beauty's anger is harmful."
"Go pick up girls somewhere else and leave me alone."
"I just wanted to be nice and I think that returning two girls by bike after night to the city through the forest is dangerous. That's why I wanted to offer help, but since..."
"And returning two girls with a stranger is more secure? Do not be ridiculous."
"Who said that with me?"
He crushed the can and went away.
A few minutes later, Hanka came with a girl and two boys. The girl said that he would drop them into the city and the boys would take and mount bikes on the roof.

Majka didn't expect that Hanka would like races after just one trip. Buddy came to her with information where the races were to take place that evening. All day at school the girl was very excited, unlike Piwonska.
Everything came out in the evening. It turned out that Hanka didn't want to watch races at all, but decided to use Majka to take her to meet her new boyfriend. Bartek, because it's the same speech, like an indistinct blond, of the same height as Majka, i.e. about 170 cm.
"Why are there so few people here today?" Majka asked after they were introduced.
"It's normal. There are always crowds on the Royal Route, especially when the Olszanskis are racing. And that's where most drivers race, because it is one of the longer routes and the most difficult.
This time Majka watched the competitors start. She would like to be at the participant's place at least once.
"Did you mention that the route is the most difficult in the area, and there are many places where you race?" She asked the boy, who put his arm around her buddies.
"There are three permanent routes, and yes, some spontaneous, like today. The regular races take place at least once a month. And spontaneous can arrange anyone, just needs to find someone to help close the road. I found out about today's race yesterday. It happens not once that one night there are races in several places at once.
"In several places at once?" The girl frowned in surprise. "Is there so many chasers around here?"
Bartek laughed.
"Many come from neighboring counties just like me" He grinned.
"You don't race?"
"Let's say, your road sign is hanging that young people are racing on the road. As long as we do it in a hollow, among fields and forests. Sometimes you can meet a cop in civilian clothes. It isn't known if they fall after service or check us out. We have an unwritten agreement with them that as long as we don't race in the city and close the roads, we can do it. In this way, our illegal races are legal."
