Maura looked at Erlang's car, which was starting to move away from behind the window of her house. After getting rejected by her, Erlang immediately nodded in understanding.
Maura thought Erlang would be angry like last night or at least break one object in the room to vent, but apparently, the man just kept quiet and left her house without protest.
Maura sighed softly. She pressed her temples, which felt tense, almost throbbing again. After feeling calm again, Maura got up. Her footsteps dragged slowly to check the bag and also some of the chaos that ensued.
