-The Best Valentine-
For some people, this baby is a gift, but it's different from Erlangga Lorenzo. For him, who has never dealt with a baby, when Maura entrusted him, then it was nothing more than a series of misfortunes.
-------------------------------
The streets are busy again when the sun is getting friendly. The heat is no longer too stinging.
Erlangga had changed into clean clothes and pants that they had bought from a nearby shop. Likewise with the baby, who was clean.
Luckily, there was a change of clothes and other equipment in the bag that had been left by the baby's mother.
Maura didn't find it much of a problem. Even though she is a lazy type of woman, for baby matters she has been trained. His cousin, his younger brother Gio, is also an active toddler who likes to throw tantrums.
He was often deposited in the past during the long school holidays. And this is the result.
However, the problem was that his date insisted on putting up an invisible iron fence from the baby after the bedwetting incident.
"You have to hurry sir, we don't want to deal with this baby." Erlang insisted on taking them to the police station for help.
Or more precisely the effort to keep him away from the baby.
Erlangga explained clearly about the baby's mother, where it came from, and also how it disappeared unnaturally.
The policeman, who Maura interpreted as being the same age as his father, nodded while typing something, making a missing report.
"Look, We're really busy right now."
What did he say?
Erlangga gaped wide. His eyes didn't blink, as if voicing his disappointment and surprise.
Even though he intended to report this case to the police station so that he would be kept away from the poor baby forever.
Damn it!!
"Sir, we're going on a date, not a daycare!"
Maura gently elbowed Erlangga's body until his mercy turned and lifted his chin asking, 'why?'
Maura took a deep breath, "How long will it take until his mother is found, sir?"
"If the parents act quickly it will probably be over in a few hours, but if not we'll step in," The constable thought for a moment, "Probably twenty-four hours," he continued.
Erlang came closer and whispered into Maura's ear, "Don't tell me you agree to take care of the baby?"
Maura nodded, "It can't be helped, we have no choice, Lo."
Erlang rubbed his face roughly, harsh curses erupted from his lips.
Too bad he's today
--------The Best Valentine--------
After leaving the police station, the two decided to take the baby to an open park located in the middle of the city.
Erlang brought a bag, the man refused when Maura asked him to carry the baby back.
Erlang took several deep breaths, he felt that this time he was getting the attention of mothers who happened to bring their children to play in this park.
These pairs of eyes will of course think that they are a young couple who have a beautiful daughter.
"Harmonious family," whispered one of the mothers who was standing not far from them.
The woman who was his friend smiled and nodded in agreement.
It wasn't just Erlang who heard it. Maura too, the girl snorted softly when she heard these whispers. Her cheeks immediately blushed.
"Come on.." Erlang gently pushed Maura's body, avoiding several gatherings of people gossiping about them.
Until they sat on a park bench in the shade of a lush acacia tree, located slightly to the corner, clearly avoiding people who were talking casually.
Time keeps running. They didn't talk too much considering that Erlang had desperately avoided the troublesome baby.
"Make the milk, Lang!" Maura exclaimed.
Erlang opened his bag as usual. Take the formula-making equipment, and make it fast. Very nimble, as if the man had gotten used to it not the first time."
Maura glanced at him briefly. At first, Erlang refused when Maura asked to make it the first time, Until Maura gave a choice between holding the baby again or making milk, as a result, Erlang preferred to make milk.
He was too late to hold another baby.
"This."
Maura took it quickly. While Erlang watched him seriously.
"Maura.."
"Hm… why?"
"That's the baby why is wearing a boy's outfit?" Erlang asked.
The man wasn't wrong at all. The clothes the damn baby was wearing weren't skimpy at all.
"What the heck, he's a boy. Yes, wearing boy clothes."
Erlang was surprised, he glanced back. The baby's face was very beautiful, the lips were thin with snow-white skin, the nose was small but very pointed plus the reddish hair that was soft, and thin.
Seen from anywhere the baby is a girl.
"He's a male?" Erlang asked in disbelief.
Maura nodded in agreement, "Don't believe it? Want to have a look?"
"There's no need.." Erlang retreated to the end of the seat.
Maura chuckled softly, it turned out that the man was really a great trauma.
After the sun was about to set, they got a call from the police if the baby's parents had been found, Erlangga was most excited to take him back to the police station.
At the police station, the mother admitted that she had a bit of a memory disorder. In other words, he forgot his son in a few hours.
Erlang, whom Maura knows, is quiet and doesn't talk much, today she was nagging like a woman to the mother of the baby.
Erlang didn't even hesitate to grumble how annoyed he was when his date time was wasted because of that bitch.
"Next time set an alarm every hour, if necessary a memo that has written on it if the mother already has children," Erlang advises before they leave the police station.
The case is over and they are back together again. Enjoying a serene sunset, today is tiring.
An extraordinary date, or in other words, this is a failed date.
They are just watching and the rest are too busy taking care of the impromptu baby.
Erlang took a deep breath when they were in front of Maura's house. Yes ... the man decided to be gentle by accompanying his date.
"Our date failed..."
Maura smiled brightly, she became uncomfortable when she thought that she was the cause of the failure.
"How about we repeat? I mean our date?" said Erlang suddenly.
"Eh?"
Maura blinked her eyes in disbelief at what she had heard, "Err… what do you mean?"
"If you don't mind, let's go on a date another time, without the damn baby bothering of course."
Maura smiled softly, "His name is Samuel, and for a date, fine. Let's try again another time."
Erlang smiled, "Whatever, Samuel's name is too manly. That baby would be better named Juliet."
"Seriously, that person's son Lang."
Erlang shrugged, he waved his hand as Maura entered the house.
Not far from Maura's house, two jobless men followed Erlang and stopped behind a bush with their eyes still watching the two lovebirds.
"That's it, Tang. I'm seriously sleepy." Gilang exclaimed giving up. They didn't even eat lunch earlier.
Bintang wanted to argue, but the vibration of the cellphone in his trouser pocket made him pause. Plus when he saw his father's name listed there.
Bintang sighed heavily, then shifted the green icon on the screen.
"Yes Pa, Bintang is on the way."
"Go home now!"
Degh…
