-The Best Valentine-
Mum's silence was scarier than the teacher's punishment when he was caught cheating on my classmate's answer. Plus if the silence was caused by embarrassing things.
The daughter who was caught dating in front of her own mother, even though everything was a hoax.
------------------------------------
Maura didn't know what kind of atmosphere was engulfing her. In the midst of the booming minimarket crowd, he felt lonely.
His mother prefers to live with him in other words. The gentle woman chose to speak at length to the handsome man who was dragged to follow them.
Erlangga Lorenzo.
Maura couldn't understand why her mother always cut her words smoothly. Even before his voice came out. What's wrong here?
Maura took a deep breath, looking warily at her mother who was currently holding Erlang's hand tightly, squeezing it gently as if she was guarding it from outside attacks.
The boy seemed to attract more attention than his own daughter standing behind, who now looked more like a maid pushing a trolley towards the cashier.
The real question is who is his mother's child?
Shucks!!
"So Erlang is from the phoenix dormitory? A rich man then." Her mother exclaimed enthusiastically, not even paying attention to Erlang's condition, who tended to feel stiff beside him.
"Mom!!" Maura protested.
"Smart, aren't you? People say that almost all of the kids from the phonix dorm are smart," her mother continued, ignoring Maura's protests.
"Err.. that's how auntie." Erlang said awkwardly. The man occasionally glanced at Maura.
"That's good, hopefully it can be transmitted to your aunt's grandson later."
"Mom!!" Maura shouted.
Damn.. damn..
Her mother was completely consumed by Gio's gossip which was very far from the truth. If she continues like this she will be the one to be ashamed, damn it!
"Erlang, you want coffee right? Look there near the cereal rack, while it's still on sale." Maura exclaimed, trying to expel Erlang in the smoothest way.
The girl glared at Erlang who was looking at her confused. If that bastard man was as smart as he was proud of, he should have understood the ngeles codes of children who were in a pinch.
"I do not-"
"This is seriously your discount!!" Maura raised her voice even more. He pushed Erlang's big body a little so his pardon would understand.
"Erlang likes coffee?" her mother asked.
"No, aunt-"
"Like it!! I really like it!! There's a coffee can in his hand, isn't it." Maura quickly cut it off.
Her mother looked at Erlang's hand, then nodded in understanding. "What if Auntie picks it up?"
Before Maura had time to stop her, her mother had disappeared leaving her behind while handing over several hundreds of bills. Gazing didn't know how to express his mother's absurdly strange behavior.
It was Erlang who should have gone, so that his mother wouldn't talk weird about them anymore.
Maura rubbed her face roughly, it seemed like she had a status exchange with her mother.
"Next .." The voice of the cashier immediately interrupted her suddenly.
"Let me help."
Erlang took the trolley from Maura, pushing it gently towards the cashier. Putting her things without awkwardness on the cashier table, even though there were several packs of sanitary napkins that she bought earlier.
"Newly wed?"
Maura leaned forward. Her dark irises caught the figure of a grown woman counting her groceries.
"You're still young, you didn't get married because of an incident, didn't you?" he continued.
Maura tilted her head quickly, "Not my husband," she muttered quickly.
Got a whisper from where the woman in front of her thought she and Erlang were a newlywed couple.
"No, I thought it was her husband."
That's where you know a lot!!
Maura wanted to scream in annoyance, but because she was the same age as her mother, she refused. It's nothing, just afraid of flies. She has too many curses.. don't add more.
Maura took a deep breath as she glanced at Erlang, who had been observing the candy package in front of him. His eyebrows shot up in confusion, then he snorted indifferently.
"One more thing, Maura." Her mother arrived just as the cashier was about to pack up her groceries.
After everything was done, Erlang took the initiative to help carry his shopping bags. Maura rolled her eyes bored. It seems his mother wanted a boy more than a girl.
Fate, bastard!
"Want to stop by the house first, Erlang? It just so happens that our house is not far from here." Her mother exclaimed.
Maura immediately stared blankly, alternately towards Erlang and his mother.
'Do not!!' he cried in his heart.
It was enough for Gio to take his food ration, lest the man beside him also contribute to take his share.
--------The Best Valentine----------
Arriving at the house as predicted by Maura. His mother immediately praised Erlang like her own child.
Not to mention when the handsome man skillfully attacked the kitchen. The man moves swiftly, even more skilled than his father in managing the kitchen.
Her mother's favorite pink apron and her father had to use it while fighting there, is now worn by Erlang without the slightest sense of awkwardness.
Maura snorted in annoyance, because she could only observe the dining table in silence.
Annoyance mixed with admiration crossed his mind as the man took the spatula from the kitchen set shelf.
His pale arms were exposed, revealing strong muscles as he drew a knife across the cutting board like a professional chef.
"Erlang is absolutely perfect, he's a seed."
Maura turned to the side, where her mother smiled while propping her chin.
For his mother, a man who can cook is a perfect good man to be a companion, at least that's how his father is.
"Mom, don't think about things. Papa is perfect enough for our family."
Maura would not breathe again if her mother wanted to make Erlang her second husband.
Just kill him once instead of having a stepfather who is the same age as him.
"Who wants to replace your Papa, don't be weird. I mean, Erlang is perfect for Mama's future son-in-law."
"Mom.."
Her mother chuckled softly, she got up from her chair and approached Erlang who seemed to be focused on cooking.
"Erlang is used to cooking at home, isn't it? You can see it from his movements. It's very different from an aunt's girl who prefers delivery rather than cooking herself."
Lie…
In fact, her mother often delivers.
"Err.. actually not Auntie, this is actually Erlang's first time cooking, because there is a special chef at home."
"Ah, time?"
Erlang smiled faintly. He took a little gravy from the boiling pot and asked his mother to taste it.
"How's Tan?"
Maura immediately got up from her place and followed her mother who looked frozen after tasting Erlang's cooking.
An absurd thought immediately crossed his mind, a rich one he believed in. His mother's expression was almost the same as the expression he had when he tasted the cooking of the woman who gave birth to him a few years ago.
Food poisoning experiment.
Maura immediately panicked, "Mom!! Don't die!!" Maura exclaimed, shaking her mother's bag gently.
Hearing Maura's statement, Erlang immediately panicked and stopped his activities.
"Auntie.." she shouted.
"Mom, if Mama dies, who will be Papa's wife, Maura doesn't want to have a step-mother, seriously..."
Pluck!!
A rough slap hit him on the shoulder until Maura hissed softly. Netra her mother glared at her.
"Reckless you, who died. This is mama. Just shocked, it turns out that Erlang's cooking is better than your papa's."
Maura smiled wryly, it seemed her worries were in vain.
"Erlang, do you want to be Maura's husband? Do you want it, don't you want to marry now, why don't you be sincere, Aunti."
"MAMA!!!"
