-The Best Valentine-
[ Night at Phoenix Dormitory ]
The group of phoenix dormitory children in the front room created a family atmosphere, cheerful laughter and also funny chuckles.
The daily agenda after dinner is routinely held by the head of the dormitory to strengthen the ties of brotherhood, and also to simply gather potential leaders of their country.
It's just that the crowd couldn't erase the awkward impression from the confused Gilang.
It's been almost a week since the incident at the library, since then the two friends have really fought a cold war without talking to each other.
Bintang prefers to sit in an area where is no one there, alone by sitting back and listening to music through his earphones.
As for Erlangga, he sat on the sofa, wearing his warm sweater considering it was still a cold February, it rained not only occasionally, but almost all week.
The man is holding a book, I don't know what it's called. Just camouflage. Because Gilang is sure that Erlang didn't really read it.
The man's focus was now distracted by the light chatter of the other boys discussing a hot woman, at least that was what they were thinking.
The girls had gone to their respective rooms. Now only the youths were left laughing.
"She's really hot, isn't she? I've even been watching her since this week."
Well, they were talking about Maura. Almost all the boys in his dorm always talk about the girl. The hottie they met last week in the corridor.
Since then Maura has also become a byword.
So far, neither Gilang, Bintang or Erlang have paid any attention to it, but that was before.
Before they know who the sexy is talking about. At least Gilang and Erlang.
They overheard one of them mention Maura's name. Maybe that's also what made Erlang choose to eavesdrop in the most elite way.
"Unfortunately there hasn't been another hot day since that day, the rain sucks."
The others laughed while nodding in agreement, "I still remember when his uniform was soaked in sweat, well everything was clearly printed on him."
Gilang glanced at Erlang who was just silently observing, eavesdropping. Occasionally smiled in response to them.
"If she wasn't Erlang's crush, I would have taken her, Bro!" The man tapped Erlang's shoulder.
"She's hot, you're lucky to have her."
Erlang chuckled softly, "Of course," he replied casually.
His hands clenched tightly as he squeezed the edge of the book he was holding.
"Would you like me to suggest a hot date later, eh?"
"What's her name? Maura Magen, eh?"
Brakk..
Bintang pushed the table near him making a loud noise. Suddenly everyone turned around.
Bintang immediately jacked up, he took off his earphones and stood up. His gaze was rough, unreadable, sweeping in all directions including Erlangga.
Bintang snorted roughly, he looked at the man who had mentioned Maura's name.
"You're all disgusting! You know, you're still underage, you don't deserve to talk disgusting at all. Just like an uneducated child."
Everyone was silent, they furrowed their brows, looked down and occasionally muttered quietly.
"At least think of your brain, balance it with our age who are still in school," continued Bintang.
After saying that, Bintang immediately walked away, climbing the sturdy steps to his own room.
Gilang approached Erlang, nudged him gently.
"You'd better follow him, you guys are like cotton and the wind can't meet you. It's not going to make you weak, Lang. I'm sorry, you two are in the same room, aren't you awkward?"
Erlang snorted in annoyance, indeed all this time he had not spoken a word after his anger which was both overflowing during the incident at the library a week ago.
"Naaah, he started first. He should be the one apologizing."
Erlang took his book and walked out of the front room with them still frozen, not understanding what had happened.
"Gilang, what happened?" asked one of the men beside him.
Gilang sighed heavily, shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know. They've been like that since last week, the cold war." half annoyed.
The man nodded, "We are sorry for that, let's hope they reconcile again." Said the other.
Gilang hissed with annoyance. He sat down on the sofa and rubbed his face roughly.
"Believe me, I'd rather they divorced all together."
Everyone immediately laughed out loud, they thought it was a joke from the mother of the phoenix.
Gilang cocked his head, 'Indeed he was the only one in his right mind here, period.'
--------The Best Valentine------
Erlangga didn't know what to start with. He was also awkward with this situation.
Rooming with friends who clash with each other is exactly like rooming with criminals or your own enemies.
Erlang leaned his body against the back of the mattress, he had been fiddling with his cellphone since earlier. Even though it's just flipping back and forth from the front menu, entering and returning to the front menu repeatedly.
Every now and then he glanced at Bintang who was sitting on the furry carpet with a ps stick in his hand. That's all they do for the week.
The room that used to be full of excitement, with ridiculous bets is now like a graveyard, quiet and lonely.
The front door opened suddenly just as Erlang almost contacted another person who had also avoided him for a whole week, his fingers confused between wanting to start or just sitting where he had been.
As a result, Erlang choked in surprise and his cell phone fell. Lucky only on the bed.
"Shit!! You bastard Gilang!!" cursed Erlang harshly.
Gilang shrugged his shoulders, the man entered with a relaxed look while carrying a box.
He glanced at Bintang who didn't change his position, as if Gilang's arrival didn't surprise him.
"Shett.. is he still angry? Have you apologized yet." whispered Gilang.
Erlang rolled his eyes bored, he had often heard that sentence from his best friend's mouth.
"What did you bring?" Erlang distracts.
"Oh, it's a gift."
"Is it your birthday?"
Gilang glanced quickly, he sat on the edge of the mattress, "This is a gift from friends for your date later."
Erlang took it, opened it slowly. His eyebrows were raised high, "What is this?"
"Present.."
"I know… but, what does this mean?" Erlang held up the strange package that his friend had given him.
"Why did they give me a gift of chewing gum?" he continued.
Gilang took it quickly, watched it for a while then glared, "Tsk!! How impudent they are," he grumbled.
Gilang immediately hid it in his trouser pocket, "Don't think about it, it's just security. They might just give it to me on a whim. I'll throw it away later."
Erlang nodded, besides he also didn't really understand. His mind was still congested with his own problems. The man glanced briefly at Bintang, who had reduced the volume of his game.
"You really have a date this weekend with Maura? The day after tomorrow, right?" Gilan asked.
Erlang has not had time to answer. Bintang broke the situation first by slamming the bedroom door. The man just walked away with the monitor screen still on.
"Why him?" Gilan asked. He didn't even talk all day with Bintang.
"Is he jealous?" he said doubtfully.
