Akin city is recorded as a crime-free town because it is full of creatures. Located in the northern part of the country. Few people like to move in there because it is isolated. For some of us looking for a perfect place to hide, this is the place. It is the survival of the fittest unfortunately I only found this out today.
"Come on Nancy, it's a gift well my mother was a witch but I was born without powers. I was told I can never have powers, my mum tried her best but unfortunately, she couldn't waken my lock powers before she was turned into a vampire and now I don't know where she is. See I'm pretty normal like you," Betty explained for my lame mind to understand. It took me a while to sink everything in.
"Wow," I beamed taking a seat next to Roland who was still struggling to calm down.
"What is the plan?" I asked looking at my two super being friends.
"Well, the plan is to wait and see," Betty scoffs. "Is there something to eat?" Betty added helping herself to the kitchen.
"Wait and see? What does that mean? Help yourself there are some snacks in the cabinet," I whimper.
"Oh great, my favorite chips. Any of you want some,?" she murmurs. Only Betty will have the will to eat at a critical moment like this.
"No, thanks," Roland and I nod.
We seat on the sofa waiting patiently for whatever would happen to happen. Roland was looking at the clouds waiting for the moon to fully set in its place.
Baby texted me.
"I was out of town, that's why I haven't called you all day. I know you miss me and I miss you too, do me a favor and don't go running in the woods like you use to. One more thing, I have something to tell you and a gift for you as well so be a good girl and sleep early,"
My heart fluttered as I read his text too bad I can't obey him this time around. I wish I could scream to him to come to be by my side that my life was in danger but I restrain myself.
"Who texted," Betty asked. "Please don't read my mind right now I'm begging you," I stiffened.
"Well, for your information it's not everything that I hear, so relax and tell me who texted you," Betty scoffs.
"My mother, she said she will be late," I lied.
"I see, since when did your mother's text make you giggle like this?" Betty shrug.
"Since today, I don't want them to know about any of this," I muttered. She had her doubt but I don't have the energy nor the zeal to talk about Baby with her.
She probably already know it is Baby for the sake of not freaking me out the more she didn't insist.
Roland jumps on his feet.
"It is show time girls," he scoffs when he realizes the moon was fully set.
"What I thought they will come for her?" Betty asked.
"First, Nancy has to see something with her own eyes and more so we don't want to mess up here. Don't worry, when you drink the portion no werewolf can afflict you for tonight. And Betty and I are here, Betty knows some herbs that can also help," Roland sniffed handing the bottle of portion to me.
"You want me to drink this?" I asked as I glower my face at the smell of the content.
"Your life depends on it girl," Betty whimpered. I don't know if that was to encourage me. "Please don't make me drink this, it smells bad," I said but looking at their faces I didn't have a choice. I held my nose and empty the liquid content into my mouth.
We set off into the woods. I arrange pillows and covered them with my blanket as my substitute. Halfway through the dark cold woods, we run into a troop and we went into hiding. They were dressed in black carrying weapons.
"Wait a second, is that not the Collins?"
I whispered trying not to alert them. I recognize the figure I saw this afternoon. Randy and Sylvester Collins, together with their mother Maris and father Bismark.
