THE NEXT DAY
JIANG HEADQUARTERS, YUNMENG
"AH JIE JIE! HELP ME!" Wei Wuxian shouted as he was hung upside down in the living room.
"TCH. This is what you get for pulling a prank on me. " Jiang Cheng said as he rolled his eyes at Wei Wuxian for being dramatic.
"What happened now? Wait, do I even need to know?" Jiang Yanli said as she walked into the living room.
When Jiang Yanli came into the living room, all she saw was Wei Wuxian hanging upside down by a rope and Jiang Cheng covered with flour and eggs from head to toe.
"Jie Jie. Don't help him. I was going to my office just now and when I opened the door, eggs and flour fell on me. This brat was laughing very loudly when it happened." Jiang Cheng said as he pointed at the upside-down Wei Wuxian.
Jiang Yanli was left speechless once again at both of her brother's childishness.
"A-Cheng, go and clean up." Jiang Yanli said as she looked at Wei Wuxian.
"JIE JIE! HELP ME!" Wei Wuxian shouted for his sister.
After seeing that Jiang Cheng went into his room to shower, she walked to the kitchen ignoring Wei Wuxian's shouting.
Jiang Yanli went into the kitchen to get a knife. After she gets the knife, she walks back to the living room.
"Xian Xian, I am here. Wait a moment." Jiang Yanli said as she took the knife and cut the rope.
After a while, the rope snapped, and he fell onto the floor with a loud thud.
"Xian Xian, are you okay?" Jiang Yanli said as she helped Wei Wuxian up.
"I'm fine Jie Jie. I thought you had left me. " Wei Wuxian said as he pouted his lips.
"Xian Xian, did you start a prank war?" Jiang Yanli asks Wei Wuxian.
The prank war is an unofficial Jiang's annual event. Jiang Cheng and Xue Yang will usually team up and prank Wei Wuxian but since Xue Yang is not around, Jiang Cheng is suffering alone. During the prank war, things tend to go out of hand and when things get out of hand, Jiang Yanli is the meditator.
"WEI WUXIAN! I AM GONNA BREAK YOUR LEGS! " Jiang Cheng shouted from his room.
"Xian Xian, what did you do this time?" Jiang Yanli said as she sighed heavily
"GOTTA RUN! BYE JIE JIE!" Wei Wuxian said as he dashed out from the living room and ran into the prince's room.
Before Jiang Yanli could ask further, Wei Wuxian had already disappeared and Jiang Cheng had come out of his room with red hair.
"Jie Jie, where did that brat go?" Jiang Cheng asked.
Jiang Yanli didn't say anything but just looked at his hair.
"That brat put red dye in my shampoo. Before I realized it, it was too late." Jiang Cheng said as he looked around the house for Wei Wuxian.
When Wei Wuxian entered the prince's room and after making sure that the coast was clear, he realized that the prince was staring at him.
"Ahahaha... Lan Zhan. Just ignore me and continue to do your things. Let me hide here for a while. I'm running away from Jiang Cheng." Wei Wuxian said as he laughed awkwardly.
Lan Wangji didn't say anything; instead, he continued to read his book. But the silence was disturbed when he heard a loud banging and screaming from Jiang Cheng.
"I KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE WEI WUXIAN! OPEN THE DOOR!" Jiang Cheng shouted as he continued banging the door hard. However, it suddenly went silent.
"I think the coast is clear." Wei Wuxian said as he released a deep breath that he didn't know he was holding.
But Jiang Cheng had another idea. He kicked the door open and the door fell with a loud bang. The sudden sound gave Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji a shock. Jiang Cheng walked into the room and slowly walked towards Wei Wuxian while glaring at him.
Wei Wuxian knew he was in trouble so he quickly ran behind Lan Wangji, making him act as his shield.
CLOUD RECESSES, GUSU
Lan Xichen was worried about his brother. He hoped that his brother could regain his memories soon for them to find out what exactly happened. He also knows that leaving him in Yunmeng with the Jiang's won't help much, but at least he is safe. To him, his brother's safety is his priority. After all, he is family. He quickly makes his way to Yunmeng to check on his brother and also to see a certain kitty cat.
JIANG HEADQUARTERS, YUNMENG
As soon as he arrived, he heard something breaking and lots of screaming. It was a mixture of Jiang Cheng's, Wei Wuxian's, and Lan Wangji voices. Fearing for the worse, he quickly dashed to the source of the noise to find Lan Wangji standing in front of Wei Wuxian, Wei Wuxian hiding behind Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng who somehow has a different hair color from the day before is threatening to break Wei Wuxian's legs.
"What is going on?" Lan Xichen asks while walking into the room confused.
"WEI WUXIAN! JIANG CHENG!" Jiang Yanli shouted as she walked to the room.
Both of them looked at each other as their faces paled as they knew that they were in deep trouble when their sister called them by their full name.
As soon as Jiang Yanli entered the room, all she saw was a huge mess.
"Okay. I think it's time for a time out for both of you. The room better be cleaned and if it's not cleaned by then, no lotus soup for both of you." Jiang Yanli said as she gave them a warning as she looked at the mess in front of her.
"But Jie, A-Cheng is the one who made the mess. Why do I need to clean as well?" Wei Wuxian said as he pouted.
"SHUT UP WEI WUXIAN! ALL THIS STARTED BECAUSE OF YOU!" Jiang Cheng shouted at him.
As they continued to bicker, Jiang Yanli closed the door and ushered both of the Lan brothers to the living room.
"I am so sorry for my brother's behavior. They are currently having a prank war." Jiang Yanli said as they sat down on the sofa.
"It's alright A-Li. I know my brother is in safe hands." Lan Xichen said in reassurance.
"Xichen, since you are here, there is something I need to discuss with you alone. Let's go to the discussion room." Jiang Yanli said.
"Okay. Wangji, stay here." Lan Xichen said to him as he got up from the sofa and followed Jiang Yanli to the discussion room.
