"Hmm...I guess Wangji should remain here. If word got out that the Second Prince lost his memories, our enemies will take this as an advantage and cause chaos." Lan Xichen said after thinking for a while.
Jiang Cheng nodded his head in agreement. If any news does come out, there will be a lot of hidden threats for both princes.
"Since it's finalized, I will head back to Gusu first to seal off the news and make sure nothing has gotten out yet. Please contact me if anything happens. "Lan Xichen said as he walked to the gate.
"Don't worry Xichen. If anything is to occur, we will contact you. Wangji is safe here." Jiang Yanli said to reassure Lan Xichen that his brother will be safe at their base.
As soon as Lan Xichen left, hell broke loose in the Jiang Household. Jiang Yanli had to ask her brothers to go to the soundproof room to discuss so as to not awaken the sleeping prince. Wei Wuxian knew this was going to occur. He knew that his sister would propose to assist the crown prince. To be honest, Wei Wuxian didn't care because the prince is a good vampire and as long as the vampires are good, he can tolerate them. But he also knew the consequences of the decision that his sister had made.
He eyed Xue Yang who was eerily quiet and wore an expressionless look on his face. The silence didn't last long though when the door of the room locked. Xue Yang tightly shut his lips that turned into a fierce scowl while his eyes burned with fury and his facial muscles tightened.
Wei Wuxian stared at Xue Yang with concern. Xue Yang was livid. It was understandable as Xue Yang's parents were killed by vampires when he was young and somehow this causes him a trauma to despise all vampires. But for Wei Wuxian, although it may sound strange, he was alright to be friends with vampires if they don't violate the rules. He was brought out of his thoughts when Xue Yang suddenly shouted.
"Are you kidding me Jiang Yanli? Why did you propose to let the 2nd Prince of Gusu stay here? " Xue Yang lashed out at Jiang Yanli.
As soon as those words left Xue Yang's mouth, Wei Wuxian knew that things were soon going downhill. Wei Wuxian saw Jiang Cheng bawling his fist as if he was ready to throw a punch to Xue Yang's face and Wei Wuxian is confident that Jiang Cheng will do so if Xue Yang continues speaking.
Before Jiang Cheng could snarl a comment, Jiang Yanli gave him a look to prevent him from saying something that he will regret later.
"I know you despise vampires A-Yang. But you need to understand that not all vampires are cruel. And whether you like it or not, Prince Lan Wangji will be living here until he recovers. This is an official order from the head of the family, and you need to obey this order. Do I make myself clear Xue Yang?" Jiang Yanli said with an air of confidence and dominance.
Sometimes they forget that Jiang Yanli can be scary as well. Although Xue Yang hated this, he had no choice but to accept it, so he gritted his teeth and nodded his head. Satisfied with the answer, Jiang Yanli turned to Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng.
"A-Cheng, I need you to request some more weapons and supplies from the main headquarters. I will give you the list later. And A-Xian, I need you to look after Lan Wangji while I discuss something with A-Yang. Okay?" Jiang Yanli said.
Jiang Cheng looked like he was about to protest but after one sharp look from Jiang Yanli, he huffed out a grumpy okay before leaving while murmuring under his breath. Wei Wuxian watched his brother leave and turned to his sister.
"Since it's like this, then you need to make me lotus pork rib soup as compensation if I am going to be bored to death by watching over some amnesiac vampire prince." Wei Wuxian whined as he pouted his lips.
"How old are you Xian Xian?" Jiang Yanli said as she raised her eyebrows in amusement.
"Xian Xian is three!" Wei Wuxian said as he showed the number three on his fingers.
Jiang Yanli giggled at his brother's childishness while Xue Yang rolled his eyes.
"Okay my Xian Xian, I will. Now go and do your work." Jiang Yanil said as she laughed.
Wei Wuxian beamed at her and went to the prince's temporary room with happy steps.
