"There's no way I will be going with you. I promise to give you the money. I just request for some time from you," said Tang Ning.
"Which part of I want the money right now don't you understand?" he asked taking a step towards her and she stepped back. "Stay back!" she said but he didn't listen and instead grabbed her wrist, trying to pull her to him. Jing Huan who was in between the commotion tightened her grip around Tang Ning's neck as she struggled to break free from the man's grip.
"I am going to scream if you don't let go of my hand," Tang Ning threatened. "You can go ahead," he replied as he looked around the isolated area.
Just when she was thinking about what she should do next, she felt Huan trembling in her embrace. "Baby?" she called but she didn't reply and she panicked. "Huan!" she called again, but all she felt was her trembling. Instinctively, she pulled her hand from the man's hold with force and shouted at him," Let go of me!"
When he finally did, she immediately squatted down and placed the little one on her lap to see her trembling and struggle as if she couldn't breathe.
"Huan?! Answer me baby!" she said but nothing seemed to work. She then looked up to the men and said," What are you looking at?! Help me call an ambulance! Can't you see the state she's in?!"
But instead of helping her, they looked at each other and the next moment, they ran away from the place, scared that they might be arrested if anything happened to the child.
"Bastards," she cursed before looking at Tang Moyu and said," Do something! Help me call a cab!" Tang Moyu got out of her trance and got her phone before calling for a cab.
Meanwhile, Tang Ning was examining Huan who had gotten pale and she panicked more. She remembered being informed that her health was weak and how Jing Yue warned her about nearing her sister with his children. But it was what she had done, and now look at what happened. She could not have brought her sister inside the house. Or maybe, she could not have allowed the little one to tag along, but it was all useless now as it had already happened. Her condition was worsening and she was panting for air more. Her eyes filled with tears before they trailed down her face. She immediately wiped them with the back of her hand and she looked up to see that the cab had arrived.
She immediately carried her and Tang Moyu opened the door before she got in. "Please take us to the nearby hospital," she said before adding," Now." After Tang Moyu got in, the car was started and she looked at Huan. A while later, she looked at her sister and said," Help me with your phone."
Handing it to her, she dialed in Jing Yue's number, which she didn't know that she had memorised up to date. After a series of ringing, he finally picked up and she heard his serious deep voice from the other side.
"Who am I talking to?" Her heart pounded in her chest before she said," I- It is me."
"Tang Ning?" she heard him ask. "Yes," she replied.
"What is wrong? Why did you use another number?" "I- something happened." "Tell me," he said. "I'm so sorry," she said first before adding," Something happened to Huan. She...I don't know what's wrong with her," she said and looked at her then continued," I-I can't explain what she is feeling right now but- " "Relax," she heard him say before he added," Tell me what happened to her."
"It looks as though she got an attack and she can't breathe properly. The truth is that I am so scared," she said.
"Where are you?" he asked calmly. "We are on the way to the nearest hospital," she replied. "Go back home," he said.
"W-what? She is not well," she immediately said. "It is fine just go back home. I'm going to send her doctor," he said. "Really? But her condition seems to worsen with every passing time." "It is fine. Take her to her room," he added. "Alright," she said before hanging up.
"Sir, let's turn and you take us back," she said and she looked at Huan who hadn't gotten any better.
When they reached home, Tang Ning told her sister to go back home and she carried the little one to her room instead. She went to fetch the butler who came to her room. "She got the attack again," he commented on seeing her as if it was something they were used to.
"Did she encounter anything that might have scared her?" he asked and she slowly nodded, guilt creeping up to her. "But will she be alright? I called Mr Jing Yue and he told me that I should bring her home but she is not getting any better," she said worriedly.
"Her doctor must be on his way. He usually gives her a shot and she gets better. You don't have to worry," he said and she nodded.
"I will go and order the servants to prepare her something to eat when she wakes up," he said and she nodded. Tang Ning looked at Huan who hadn't shown any sign of improvement and she paced back and forth in the room. This was all her fault. Jing Yue had warned her but she didn't listen. She didn't know what she was going to do if anything happened to her. As she was still immersed in self blame, there was a knock on the door before it opened and in came the butler followed by a man who was supposedly the doctor.
"It's so nice to see you doctor," she said and he nodded as he walked towards the sick child.
Looking at her, he asked," How long has it been ever since she got the attack?"
