Chapter 1 - Death and Reincarnation Into A Zombie Minion!

[Congratulations! After having defeated the undead army, you are now the king of Eleos. THE END]

"WHAT???! Is it for real?!"

Seeing the last scene of the game on his screen, Keryan burst in anger, smashing his keyboard madly, almost destroying it!

"You should have said : Congrats, thank you for your money, you have been scammed! Despicable developers!"

...

When he went to sleep, he couldn't help thinking of that scam, so much that it gave him a stomachache!

He spent his salary week in order to buy this game and was obviously mad. The game from the start to the end didn't last for more than three hours, so of course he wanted to vomit blood!

"I'm just going to return this shitty game to the seller, I hope I can get half of my money back…"

The next day, keryan went to the store. But when he passed the crosswalk, a fast-moving truck ran through the red light and hit him with incredible violence ─ like an elephant running on eggs.

Keryan was reduced to meat paste under the monster's wheels... All that was left of him was an outstretched arm, holding a bloody video game in his hand.

Legend has it that when the emergency services arrived, the doctor declared: "he must have liked this video game very much for having saved it like this."

That's why, people decided to bury him ─ or you could say what remained of him ─ with this video game, so he would be able to game in peace in the afterlife.

Unknowingly Keryan was dead, but for him it was like a deep slumber without dreams or nightmares. Really?

Speaking of nightmares...

The young man's memories flashed suddenly, bringing out the feeling of death accompanied by a sight of gore while his spirit left the world.

He woke up suddenly in total darkness.

Panicked, he fumbled his fingertips for the light but instead found only a damp, soft wall.

Thin streams of cold water flowed on it, while above him, he heard a thud, as if people were walking over a basement.

Struck by a macabre thought, he began to dig madly at the damp and crumbly wall with his bare hands.

Hand after hand, inch after inch, oblivious to the wet shards falling on his face, he continued his efforts until the obstacle finally collapsed under his repeated attacks.

Cold air blew through his fingers as soon as he broke through the wall and without paying attention he hoisted himself into the hole like a starving man who hadn't eaten in months.

The pouring rain, a sky streaked with lightning and an army of corpses emerging from graves was the welcome that this world gave him.

Skeletons wearing hatchback and decaying zombies animated by dark magic crawled in the mud all around.

Alarmed by this nightmarish sight, Keryan looked fearfully at his own limbs to discover he was like them, a rotten zombie!

"WHHHHHHAAAATTTT! What's the joke!!" he yelled out loud.

His breathing was harsh and didn't fill his lungs at all, then he put his hand on his gaunt chest but didn't feel his heart beating, he was dead but standing, an undead!

"It can't be real! It can't! Wait, wait, wait, it should be a nightmare! yes that's it! I'm currently in a hospital bed, recovering from my injuries because of that truck… Or could it be?! It's the end of time and all the dead have risen from their graves?"

However, the creatures around him didn't have any features that looked like modern earth, nor the graveyard, nothing that reminded him of his home. He watched carefully at all the details but he felt an urge rising from deep inside of himself, like an order that cannot be ignored, and it was a simple command telling him only three words "Kill them all".

At first, he couldn't go against it and found himself walking like a brainless toward the other monsters without being able to control himself! In this nightmarish situation, It required every ounce of his concentration to fight the command while trying to figure a way out.

Since the night was rainy and dark, he was supposed not to see, but still, with no light other than the occasional flashes of lightning ─ appearing in the sky from time to time, his eyesight was perfectly fine.

Step after step, with his arms stretched out in front of him like two weapons ready to grab his prey, he was going somewhere with his new 'fellows ', a bunch of skeletons and smelly zombies.

Soon, that 'somewhere' became a new light in the night. There, a couple of hundred yards in front of him, he clearly recognised small houses in the distance with windows reflecting candle light through the thick veil of night.

Everything seemed natural, you could only hear the sound of rain and lightning in the distance, but for the inhabitants of this remote hamlet, it could not be so terrible.

Unfortunately, they were not prepared for what was coming for them, this remote place was going to be the theatre of an unthinkable bloody night and nothing could change that fate, and for what? Because it was scripted!

"Scripted! It's all scripted! I know what is happening, don't tell me that i just reincarnated into a zombie in the game world of Aradria!"

When this thought crossed his mind, the commanding spell broke off like glass and all became clear!

That was really the start of the game but he was not in the body of the hero. He was instead a zombie minion controlled by low necromancers!

Following the rise of this undead army, many villages were going to be ravaged and completely destroyed without any souls left behind, but with dawn the hero would appear and start the purge of the undead and dark mages with the help of a holy priestess.

At this moment, it would be the end because this game was like a single chapter!

Keryan didn't know if all of it was real or not, but he couldn't wait passively to be slaughtered because deep inside himself, he felt there was something more about this whole story and he needed time to put the pieces of this puzzle together.

Furthermore, something felt wrong, he should be terrified but he wasn't, and now that his decaying body was freed from the controlling spell, he could feel how strong he was. Also, he remembered perfectly how hard it was to deal with these zombies in the game.

He could have lied down on the ground and waited until he found an opportunity but that was out of the question. Keryan had many flaws but cowardice wasn't one of them.

He had the feeling that if he didn't use this knowledge to solve the situation, he would only have lived in vain!

Between the rows of undeads, black hooded figures were casting spells continuously with their bone scepters. Magic circles of all kinds and colors were buzzing and flashing.

In this situation the magicians were defenseless and that was perfect for Keryan, as a zombie himself, he had the perfect disguise for being the perfect assassin.

While approaching his target, Keryan didn't rush and played along the scene, acting like the zombie he was. The dark mage didn't pay any attention to this minion, for him it was unthinkable that a pawn could escape their control and rebel that's why he wasn't worried at all.

Unexpectedly for the caster, the zombie approaching wasn't a normal one and before he could even think of what was happening, the disgusting creature jumped on him at full speed, biting him directly on the neck and digging his rotten nails into his flesh!

"ARGHHHH! Let go of me filthy creature, I your Master command you to stop!"

Mages weren't known for their physical power and of course this one wasn't an exception that's why he was easily suppressed by the zombie that was attacking him.

For Keryan, the dark mage was indeed not his opponent, thanks to the surprise effect, he took care of him in less than twenty seconds and without waiting a second he robbed him clean of all his stuff and exchange his ragged clothes for a dark hooded cape that cover him not so badly.

But that wasn't all, the most important item was obviously the bone scepter!

Keryan hoped his assumptions were correct because if this world worked like the game he did play, there was the possibility of him being able to use spells but before that, he needed to dig the information from the brain of his victim, that was the innate skill of a zombie.

With a gulp of disgust and expectation, he closed his eyes to search for the grey matter of the bloody mage and feast on it!
