Chilve knows that certain pack is a pain in the ass the moment they declare a war by attacking one of his wolves that is doing a business peacefully within the allowed territory area.
It might be a personal grudge from the past against that particular wolf, but when one is threatened while doing nothing wrong in the meantime, Chilve cannot allow that to happen as an alpha of his pack, since he believes that he should protect them to gain their trust. It is also important that their pack will not be suppressed by another and getting taken over of, since his pack is considered one of the oldest among the werewolf history, and it will be a shame to have it ended in his hands, which is something his wolf instincts will not allow to come true while he still lives.
He came to the capital to discuss with them, as a neutral ground considering there's no pack that is able to take the capital as their controlled territory due to the high population of humans which may make them getting hunted and killed instead. Yet, they have the nerve to put the blame on him as a young alpha that can't even control his own pack's behavioral issues. This makes Chilve grips his hands into fists often and tries to avoid bloodshed while the opponents are high in numbers, since he doesn't know if there are any special werewolves among that pack.
Special werewolves as in those that can use magic other than transforming into a wolf, but that's another story.
And with Adam's hard earned insider information, where Chilve guessed it correctly that he acted as a double spy to get some crucial information on the other pack, he finally has the chance when Ford reported that the alpha is moving with the least number of bodyguards yet, possibly doing something private like mate hunting, and what better way to end a pack by ending the alpha himself?
Both Chilve and Ford found that alpha who called himself Huffy walking with two of his largest wolves around the streets, and when he looks like he is going to enter somewhere that sells clothes, Chilve sends the signal to Ford and he quickly dashes forward, where he knocks at the neck of the two guards, knocking them down to the floor. This alerted Huffy and when he tries to escape into somewhere with a crowd, he stops in his tracks when he sees Chilve approaching him, "there you are Huffy. Are you new to this city?"
"Why do you care? I doubt you are here on friendly terms," and he turns to run in an opposite direction but stops when he sees Ford closing in, and he sighs, "just tell me what do you want."
"I tried telling you a few times, Huffy, that we don't appreciate getting our own attacked by yours for no legit reason," he starts staring at his hands and blows off some non existence dusts, "and since you never comply to our demand of compensation, then I guess I will be doing this my own way."
"If I'm killed right here right now, my whole pack will come and hunt for you!"
"I doubt it, since I know most of them are willing to defect as long as you're out of the picture."
"How-" tired of his ramblings, Chilve turns into his wolf form and quickly ends Huffy's life before he can even resist back, and when his lifeless form is lying on the ground, Ford checks for his pulse and nods at his alpha, "he is gone."
He turns back to his human form and shakes his head, "what a waste of time, not even giving me a fight, boring," he looks around and hopes that not too much time is wasted on trash like Huffy, "you can handle the rest, I will be going back to her side."
"Good luck! I hope the day to call her our lady comes sooner or later!"
Once he enters the guild, he sees that both Lune and Lisa are getting comfortable with each other by doing different hand gestures and shouts when they are doing different ones, which he assumes they have to match the same and when he sits down at his earlier seat, he asks, "what did I miss?"
"Playing a game of rock paper scissors! It's more fun than I thought," he raises an eyebrow from not recognizing the game's name, and Lune grins when she beats Lisa, "I win again."
The blonde giggles while Lisa is complaining about how Lune might be secretly a psychic that can read minds, and before he can ask what their next plan is, the girls ask, "wanna join?"
"Join what?"
"Rock paper scissors!" And before he can comprehend what is happening, Lune reaches out for his hands and starts guiding his fingers, "this is rock," and she proceeds to make another while Chilve is thinking how soft her hands are, "this is scissors, and this is paper! Rock will break the scissors, scissors will cut the paper, and paper will wrap the rock."
"Then what?"
"We can bet something or punish the loser. What do you say?"
'I shouldn't indulge in such childish games.' "Deal."
'What did she do to me that I just agreed to?'
