Today is the big day.
Lune can't really take a wink of sleep due to the excitement and nerves, considering this is officially her first time outside of the palace for days, weeks, or even months before coming back to her palace life. She has been honing her skills just for this day, and she is definitely most excited for being able to travel with Chilve, considering she wanted to know more about him, and the largest question of it all, the soulmate legend. There must be some logical explanation as to why the moondrop doesn't wilt, and not just because of the soulmate legend. Maybe werewolves can intentionally preserve it with their latent magical abilities?
After packing all the necessities into a compact bag, someone knocks on her door and she shouts at them to open it themselves, and when Sol enters, he is holding the sleeping bag in his hand and asks, "what is this?"
"Sleeping bag, duh."
"It's just a huge bag. Why do you need this when you obviously have another bag to carry the other stuff?" Lune almost facepalm at his stupidity and she explains, "sleeping bag is a bag where we sleep inside, and it helps with the night cold and bugs!"
"You sure?"
"You don't believe in your own twin sister?"
They have a short staring contest before Sol resigns and he asks, "are you ready? If you are waiting for me at the front gate," and he frowns when she grins wide, "you can go first. I got myself a travelling partner while you got busy so I'm waiting for him."
He has a bad feeling in his guts and he asks in a warning tone, "don't tell me-" and she laughs out loud from his expression that looks like he will kill anyone that asks her hand for marriage, "relax! It's just a friend. And I won't let myself get involved in marriage this soon, I have a world to explore first!"
With this declaration, it seems Sol softens his facial features and he starts walking out, "then, see you soon in the guild."
Considering all the licensed adventurers in the kingdom need to go through the guild to become one, they know they are going to meet in the guild anyway even if they get separated for different reasons. Lune knows it will be chaos if Sol knows who Chilve really is if the three of them travel together, so she told him to look for his own adventuring team, saying it's for experience and luckily he bought her lousy reasoning. Now all she has to do is wait for him to come over.
'Hold on, he doesn't say what time he is going to come ove-' her thoughts are interrupted when there's some commotion at the ground floor, and she grabs her things just in case it's Chilve that is the cause of it, and after locking her room and bidding a goodbye to it, Lune reaches the center of the commotion that is happening in front of the palace gate, where Sol is glaring at Chilve who seems to be looking a little lifeless at the prince, but his whole demeanor changes when he spotted her, "Lune!"
"It's Princess Lune to you. What are you, a beast that doesn't learn of human customs?" She giggles at her twin's comment since it's half true concerning Chilve's true nature, and he puts a hand on his chest with a fake hurt look, "I apologize Prince Sol, but I do feel it's better to practice calling her informally soon so she can hide her identity as the princess while travelling."
Both of them join a glaring contest when Sol decides to be the one starting it, and Chilve stops first when Lune clears her throat and begs, "come on, it's bad luck to be fighting on an important day like this!"
"We should hurry to the guild, since all they need right now is your clarification and you will be an official adventurer," she remembered that Chilve did say something about helping her in obtaining her license, and Sol scoffs before saying, "Then I'm leaving first! I'm not so keen on seeing your face if possible."
"Sol!"
The prince left without saying any further word and while Lune is sad that her twin doesn't even bid her farewell, Chilve asks with his eyes closed, "so, shall we?"
"Are we going straight to the adventurers' guild?" He nods at her question and before she can say anything further, he carries one of Lune's bags with ease and motions her to go forward, "we should reach there before sunset, since they need to send the documents to the officials for the sign off."
Their walk together to the town looks peaceful since they are not talking much, but Lune is actually feeling nervous since they are alone without anyone else, not to mention her mind is still on the issue of the flower moondrop, and wonders what he is thinking when he asked her about whether it's the same flower. Is he happy that the legend came true? Is he even interested in her like that? What if she becomes his mate in these few days-
"We are here."
Lune stops in her tracks when he stops walking, and she looks up to see a building that seems to be a little worn down from the years. A huge signboard writing 'ADVENTURERS GUILD' in bold letters is hanged, a little tilted, and she hopes it won't drop on them when they open the doors. Luckily, it stays intact when Chilve goes ahead to open the doors, where there are some people who are sitting around the long tables and get a quick look at them before going back to their own business.
A petite looking woman appears at the counter after Chilve rings a bell on it, "Chilve, it's you!" Lune wonders how they have been acquainted before today, and the wolf asks, "is the document ready?"
"Of course, who do you think I am? Hold up," the woman finally sees the blonde and she exclaims, "are you Lune?"
While wondering if she should open her mouth, Chilve laughs heartily and hugs her tightly by wrapping his arm around her shoulder, "the one and only. I believe there's not much issue on her identification then, right?"
"Geez, you are nagging like my father in law, do you know that? Miss Lune, the name's Jane, the receptionist of this crude looking guild."
