Jest spent the entire night finding any sort of way to message or contact the blonde-haired boy. Or just an account in general to (stalk) find out more about him.
And found nothing. Not even a Facebook or an Instagram account.
The boy's immediate thought after his meaningless searching instead of sleeping for a good ten hours is a definite, "what the fuck."
Who doesn't have any social media accounts in the twenty-first century? Except for some old people like his grandparents, for his old folks preferred their phones with keypads rather than getting the new models his father tried convincing them to get.
The boy lets out a laugh upon remembering how his grandfather threw the new phone his father bought for the old man. His grandfather was unable to understand why someone named Siri is constantly talking to him and answering his questions which resulted in the old man thinking the phone was possessed and even trying to step on it.
Fortunately, his father and grandmother were successfully able to stop the old man from completely destroying the latest model of the iPhone.
However, despite remembering one of the few good memories he had, the day was still off to an awful start. Upon reaching the dining room, he could immediately hear the loud arguing of his father and mother inside the kitchen with his mother screaming about another one of her cheating accusations. His twin brothers were having a food fight which their parents were not able to realize and even had the audacity to stick out their tongues at their older brother.
"Brats," Jest said as he watched how their dining room was again a mess. He ate quickly, not wanting to be part of the food fight still ongoing. He silently pitied their household servants as he dropped his plate and utensils on the sink before making his way up to his room to change into his uniform.
He chooses to ride his Ford Explorer to school. His father bought it for him a month ago, saying it was an early Christmas gift. The boy knew it definitely was not, but instead, some sort of way to influence his son into choosing him over his wife.
His mother also bought him a Rolex after his father gave him the Ford Explorer. Jest did not particularly wear watches very much, especially expensive ones for he knew wearing one would make him a target of a robbery. His father took his son's refusal of his wife's gift as a win.
Jest decided to drop the twins at their school since it was on the way, despite it being quite far from his university. However, the boy was constantly anxious about the two ending up vandalizing his new car. Luckily, the twins weren't in the mood to do something mischievous and opted to sleep the entire trip.
"Bye, ugly!" The older by ten seconds twin Chase yelled before jumping out of the car.
The younger one, Cruz, smiled and waved at his brother shyly before jumping out. He was quieter than his twin but was equally mischievous when they are together. "Bye, Jesty!"
Jest waited for his twin brothers to enter their school gates before he left. Once the boy saw them join their friends, he drove away.
He sighs in relief upon immediately spotting a free parking spot. He parks there and was quick to spot Enya nearby talking to a familiar blonde-haired guy. Or more like dyed blonde hair.
Wait, it was his blondie!
"If you don't need anything, I have somewhere else I have to be," Jest heard his friend say as she walked away, holding yet another latte of hers. He notes to himself to tell her that too much caffeine is bad for one's health.
Without warning, Jest ran to where the boy was and pulled his blondie to his chest making the boy squeak in surprise. Upon realizing who pulled him close out of nowhere and without warning, the boy narrowed his eyes at the taller boy.
Jest smiled at him innocently but made no attempt to let go of the boy currently on his chest. "I didn't know you were into Enya." He teased, albeit feeling a bit disappointed at how the boy was straight.
Okay, maybe I shouldn't jump to conclusions, Jest thinks.
The blonde-haired boy shook his head as if distracted. Jest was quick to notice how the boy had a bizarre expression on his face before replacing it with a teasing grin that he directed to the taller boy. "I didn't know you had a habit of eavesdropping on people,"
The long-haired boy turned to the blonde boy at his side and gasped out dramatically, even placing his hands on his chest. However, doing such made the boy he pulled into his chest pull bac
Nevertheless, Jest did not allow this and pulled the boy once again, this time instead of his back against Jest, the boy's face is now buried against his chest. The boy raised his head, glared at Jest, and was about to say something before Jest interrupted him. "Darling, I didn't eavesdrop on your confession to your beloved Enya," The boy was still glaring at him and said nothing to deny Jest's claims. "However, I can tell you that Enya would probably never reciprocate your feelings, she's not into pretty boys."
In contrary to what Jest expected to be the reaction of the blonde-haired boy to what he said, the boy merely rolled his eyes. "And why would I trust what you say? Everyone knows you're a liar through and through, Ortega,"
First of all, Jest had no idea everyone thought he was a liar. Second, he was definitely not a liar. He lies, but not often. Third and most importantly, this boy who currently was against his chest should trust him he did date Enya longer than anyone would have had expected. Regardless, he knew telling the boy the "secret" would not make him trust Jest, and would not change anything at all so he opted to divert the topic.
"Well, she's into boys who would be loyal to her forever," Jest watched any sort of changes in the blonde-haired boy's face. He finds none and he apologizes to Enya mentally for even revealing her type but continues anyway. "She would rather marry someone at age forty than date someone and they would still break up. She's very traditional--"
Out of nowhere, the shorter boy pushes Jest with the strength that Jest did not expect from someone of his structure. He still had an impassive expression but Jest knew he was hiding emotions of some sort behind his blank face. "I am not interested in knowing anything else about her."
It would be an understatement to say that it confused Jest at how the boy in front of him reacted. The whole scene earlier made Jest think that the blonde-haired boy was interested in his friend, but now he's suddenly dismissive of any topic involving her and even seemed to be irritated despite the impassive expression on his face.
What was going on here?
The blonde-haired boy sighed deeply upon noticing the taller boy's confusion. This caught Jest's attention straight away, immediately raising the boy's chin with his finger. Their eyes met and despite experiencing this sort of thing so many times that he lost count, there was something different with this boy.
But Jest was still confused. He can't let this boy's pretty face distract him from asking the right questions.
"If you're not really interested in Enya, then why did you do that?"
"Do what?"
Jest ran his fingers through his hair. "The whole grabbing thing."
The boy did not speak for a while. It made Jest anxious with the suspense of what the boy might say next, but he tried to calm himself by watching some students pass them by, some even looking at them with curiosity and perplexion in their eyes but said nothing. Jest waved at a group of boys with who he was friends and ate at a nearby restaurant once.
Realizing how his words probably made the situation awkward, Jest decided to place his hand on the shorter boy's shoulders, as if his action could soothe the awkwardness away. Upon placing his hand on the boy's shoulders, he realized that the boy was not petite, but instead had muscles one could not realize immediately when they first look at him.
The boy probably caught on to what the taller boy just realized and immediately stepped backward, flinching away when Jest tried to reach out for him again.
"Darling, you should let me treat you to dinner and eat more food," The long-haired boy tried to lighten the mood with a flirtatious joke.
However, it was not effective on the boy in front of him as it made him scowl. "Wouldn't you rather hang out with your other conquests?" Unusual bitterness was evident in his tone, as he slowly stepped backward to create more distance between him and Jest. "Why would you even suggest that?"
His question caught Jest off guard but he immediately regained composure by smiling and continuing to walk closer to the shorter boy. "I suggested it so that I'd get to know you," His next step would make him a few inches away from the boy, and he had to admit it made him a bit anxious for it might make the blonde-haired boy run away. Thankfully, the boy did not. "I can even invite Enya if you want to,"
At the mention of the girl's name, the boy's face darkened. However, he was quick to smile in another teasing manner at the boy in front of him. "What made you think I would want her there? Maybe I want to be with you alone, in a restaurant you would probably rent for ourselves,"
Jest could not help but let out a laugh. Who would have had thought that the boy who seemed like an extreme Greek mythology fan can tease him like this?
Well, not that it does not turn me on, he thinks as he licked his lips while staring at the blonde-haired boy's own pinkish lips.
"Yeah, maybe," The distance between them was almost non-existent now, as Jest can finally see how green the eyes of the boy in front of him are. Almost as green as the matcha latte Enya was holding earlier. "But I'm actually a fan of an exhibition and I think it would be nice to have someone watching us the entire time, especially someone you might or might not hate,"
Okay, Enya would definitely kill him.
"Whatever, philanderer," was the boy's response. He still had the teasing grin on his face, and Jest wanted nothing else but to kiss him so badly.
Jest opted to bring Enya along. He knew how much Enya hated spontaneous events, especially as to how the situation literally meant that she will be the third wheel, but Jest did tell his blondie that he would be bringing her, and he never breaks a promise.
Despite the huge probability that Enya might chop his dick off after.
The taller boy was about to say his temporary goodbyes to his companion after the bell rang when said companion suddenly grabbed his wrist, stopping Jest from saying a single word.
"You forgot to ask my name again," The boy grins at him, even having the audacity to tease Jest with a seductive smirk! Jest mentally strengthens his will to not pull the boy with him in the nearby bathroom and fuck him senseless.
Jest decided to opt for a kiss instead, but the boy pressed a finger against the taller boy's lips. "Nuh-uh, no kissing until our first date and without even asking for my name,"
"What's your name, love? Or would you rather me just call you by that?"
The boy raised an eyebrow at him and pretended to think for a while. He then shook his head. "Hmm, I'd rather have you saying my name than a lousy pet name you call everyone else by,"
Jest feigned offense. "Ouch," Nevermind getting into his class by time. "You have a unique way of flirting, love,"
"It's one of my talents," The boy shrugged. He looked away from Jest and cocked his head towards the entrance of their school. "Well, instead of flirting shouldn't we be off to our first class?"
Okay, maybe education is important.
He did not try arguing and followed his blondie inside. Unfortunately, upon walking upstairs the blonde-haired boy stopped at the second floor. "Your class is here?" He asked, realizing his question was dumb and he wanted to slap himself in embarrassment.
The boy snickered. "Obviously,"
Jest smiled sheepishly. "So, you're still not gonna tell me your name?"
"Looks like it," The boy's eyes were on the first classroom to the left. Jest had to remember that. "See you tonight, philanderer."
That boy is deadly, was the only thing that Jest could think of as he ran to the comfort room instead of going straight to his first class.
Looks like education might not be so important, after all.
