Chapter 2 - Welcome to the Pokémon World.

Delia always knew what to expect. She knew what day it is today. She knew what time it is now and how her son would react.

Speaking of which, her son should be...

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"

She sighed. She's a calm mother, so she knew this was coming. She hummed as she continues cooking in the little kitchen area. She love Ash, but can sometimes be a bit of an airhead. Still, he always have this attachment to Pokémon. Like his father, he wants to be a Pokémon trainer and see the world. She couldn't say she isn't any prouder of him than ever. It felt like yesterday that he was just his little Ashy. Now here he is, taking his first step out to the world. It's going to be tough for him out there, but she believed he can take it.

She turned the stove off and paused to look up the ceiling. Everything is suddenly quiet. How odd, why isn't Ash-

*ZOOM!*

There was a great rush of wind that blew her hair, and almost her head, to the side as if a storm flew by in her house. It lasted less than a second before it calmed and her hair dropped back in place. There was a wobbling hum behind her, then a settling clatter.

Then a soft click from the front door.

Delia waited for a moment, then turned around to the table. All there was is an empty plate. Delia blinked at it a few times then turned to where the front door is. Seconds later, she dismissed it with a shrug of her shoulders. This is Ash after all, so it's normal.

At least he remembered to eat his breakfast.

This is NOT normal.

So many questions swarmed over them as the body of Ash Ketchum runs towards the laboratory of the well-known Professor Oak. As he runs pass, he could hear people laughing at him for running in his pajamas. But he didn't pay them any mind.

Because Cade has other things to worry about.

When he woke up, the first he noticed was the familiar sight of a certain boy's bedroom. The second was the moment he saw Ash's reflection in the mirror, his first reaction was to scream. After that, he started having a panic attack. He sat on the floor back then, telling himself to wake up, it was all a dream, and so on.

He joked on wanting to be a trainer, but not like this! It was some time then that he noticed the broken alarm clock on the corner of the floor. There was one episode that has a broken alarm clock. And the lack of Ash's best friend.

Which had him started panicking once again.

The rest of his visions on what happened in the house blurred by really fast. Literally. He didn't know he could eat that fast! Then again, this is Ash's body. The boy has a high metabolism.

"Hey, Ashy-boy! Woke up late, I see,"

Cade snapped out of his thoughts and into reality.

Now, he should know that Ash's luck is a half definition of Murphy's Law.

Which leads to him tripping on a convenient rock on the road and falling down painfully on his face.

As expected, everyone starts laughing at him.

"Is this supposed to be the future Pokémon Master? You should just give up already,"

He heard Gary Oak said that, but his thoughts were elsewhere.

'Ash Ketchum, I blame you and your luck for once,'

"Well, as much as I like seeing you groveling at my feet as the real Pokémon Master-"

A sound and a flash cut off whatever the boy was about to say, with Cade's face still facing the ground. This, he was sure, was not part of the show.

"Squirtle?"

Nor was the questioningly staring Squirtle in front of him when he rose his head up. Its red eyes staring at his-Well, Ash's-brown ones. It felt...strange. In a good way.

"Ah! Ash, I see you met my Grandson's starter,"

Blinking and shaking his head, Cade looked to the source of the voice. On the stairs to the lab stood the gray hair professor himself.

"Professor Oak?" Cade said out loud without thinking as his body act up and he is now standing back on his feet.

Said professor chuckled and starts walking down the steps. And proceeds to slip and manages to learn the human version of a Rollout.

Cade realized something before swiftly taking and lifting Gary's Squirtle overhead just as the professor rolled pass where the Pokémon would have been and ending to a stop by smacking face first on the side of his grandson's car.

"Gramps!? Are you alright?" Cade heard Gary's shout as they watch the older Oak stand up smiling and dusted off his lab coat like nothing happened. Despite the red face.

"I am fine, Gary. This is nothing from what I've experienced throughout my career," the professor waved off his grandson's worries.

Cade inwardly chuckled at the man's antics before realizing and looking down at the Pokémon in his arms, who stared right back at him. Looking back up, he approached the younger Oak. And that is not before whispering something to the Pokémon who snickered.

"Hey, Gary," he spoke, gaining Ash's rival's attention to look at him. "I think this is your Starter I just saved from being rolled over,"

Gary stared at him blankly, then scoffed off and looks away with his Starter's Poké-ball raised. "Whatever, loser. Squirtle, return,"

Cade watches as a red beam surrounded the Water-Type before absorbing them to the ball. Gary then walks around and into his car, starting it and driving away with a "Smell' ya later, Ashy boy!" remark. Not to forget the cheerleaders.

"Well now," Cade heard the professor spoke and turned to look at the man who smiled and gestured up to his laboratory and ranch. "How about we head inside the lab, my boy?"

Now comes the hardest part for Cade.

In the name of the Pokémon Deities, Cade hoped and prayed he avoid the shocking wrath of an electric mouse.
