An island situated in the middle of the ocean with the fierce sea rolling and the raging high waves buffeting its rocky coast. The pointed rocky high hill right in the middle of the island touched the swirling dark grey clouds.
The grey coloured skin vampires with white lab coats in the computer room were typing and designing new projects making beeping sounds everytime new codes were typed. Bare wires and cables messily tangled over each other on the metallic floor, connecting all of the computers and every electronic device in the dark room.
A tall figure wearing a black robe rambled through the dim-lit green metallic tunnel and the knocking sound of its shoes could be heard knocking hard. The end of the tunnel led it to a room which glowed brilliant green and the vampire scientists could be seen writing some data on the hardfile on their arms. There was a huge glass cylinder which was bigger than an aeroplane with an enormous black monster floating in it, immersed in the green glowing liquid. The tall figure went closer and banged the glass, awakening the vague monster which went berserk in a second. He smirked showing off his fangs and spreaded his arms.
"Behold, the beginning of the new era!!" The figure laughed loudly and ended coughing vigorously.
_______________
"The two sentinels for the second game are now standing on the battle arena!! Fierce eyes glaring at each other with their hearts striving for a victory, who will earn the glorious victory? The Poseidon Sentinel who rules the sea, the Esper Sentinel who brings imagination to reality?! The answer is up to how the battle ends!!" The emcee dramatically posed and shouted on his microphone.
The golden crosier lit up and burnt with royal blue flames then the emcee raised his hand and pointed his hands at the heptagon, "let the game begin!!!!"
The crowds sang inconsistently making a large choir with different tones and notes. A high pressured water burst out from the middle of the heptagon like a fierce fountain, flooding the floor by filling the lower ground first. Benditto controlled the flow of the water with his hands as if he was a conductor of an orchestra.
Era stared at the clear water then raised her right hand at the par of her chest while glaring at her opponent. Dark green tangled huge veins grew from underneath Benditto's feet and seized his hands and wrapped tightly around his body. The fountain of water moved its direction and formed a huge tall wave, surrounding her and immediately struck her. He transformed himself into clear liquids and extracted himself from the roots which formed a tree trunk.
The tsunami-like wave was cut into half as Era controlled the flow with her body burnt with ochre flames. Bricked walls grew taller around the heptagon and formed medieval battlements. She flew to the air and clasped her hands together, making the walls move closer, limiting his movement. He looked at the walls as they moved closer, enclosing him in the middle then only he started creating more water. The water level rose so quickly that the surface held his feet and raised him up.
The flood around the heptagon swirled together and transformed into a liquid sea serpent thus it attacked Era as if it was solid. She fell into the water but she was still conscious. The flood glowed yellow and raised to the air and formed a huge trident. She lifted her hand to the air then struck it to Benditto then only the huge watery trident struck him. The trident dragged him out of the heptagon. The crowds watched him lying on the bricked nethermost, soaked with water. He sat and stood weakly even though he was unwounded.
A liquid pirate ship was formed from the small drop of water on the damp floor, drying up the floor. The pirate ship was accompanied by 7 sirens which swam around it. They sang and hummed pleasantly like a sea lullaby. They sang while dancing by shaking their tails and arms moving like a wave. The crowds were captivated and hypnotised by their lullaby. Era glared at Benditto then her eyes turned solid colour; she was manipulated by the siren's lullaby.
The siren's surrounded Era while singing, she lost consciousness that she stood stiffly without moving. Her little girl banged the glass of the stadium luxury box and screamed out her name. As a little girl, she would be worried sickly about her parents when they faced a threat. She wanted her mother to wake up but she was hundreds metres away from the box hence couldn't hear her angelic adorable voices. Her husband was enchanted by the lullaby and lost his conscious mind.
Benditto was carried away by the wave then it sent him right in front of Era. He glared at the little girl who banged the glass panel from the box then rolled his eyes. He touched her cheeks and sneered.
"Listen to the mermaid song, Era. The sea lullaby will make you float away," Benditto whispered as he leant closer to her ear.
Era blinked her sleazy eyes and widened them. She watched the reddish-orange sun as it slowly dragged itself down to the horizon. She heard the sound of the seagulls squawking and squeaking in the yellowish-orange sky with golden clouds covering some parts of it. She realised that she was on a pirate ship.
"Era," she turned back as she heard a familiar deep voice calling her from behind.
"Darling!" She called the man and embraced him immediately.
The man was her husband. They exchanged glances then kissed. As she opened her eyes, she realised that she was drowning in the sea, together with her husband. She watched her husband as he slowly faded away and burst into glowing effervescent bubbles. She gazed above and watched as the light shrunk. She swung her legs but was tied by the dark veins from the darkest depth of the sea. She tried to reach out her hands on the light but the sea dragged her deeper to the bottom of the dark sea. She breathed out bubbles as she suffocated for air. She closed her eyes slowly and let the darkness dragged her.
"Mama!! Mama!! -ma!!" She heard a distinct voice of a little girl calling her.
The voices were vague as the sea covered her ears.
"Mama, wake uuuuuuuuuppppppppp!!!!!!" She widened her eyes as the voice got clearer.
She opened her eyes and cut the ocean into half, creating a route. She gasped for air and coughed as the sea water spreaded away. Benditto clicked his tongue with repugnance. Era stood and summoned ghosts which dwelled underground by telepathic communication. The ghosts dashed to Benditto, distracting him that he waved the air, preventing any one of them from leaving even a single scratch on his beautiful face.
The song of the siren stopped and the crowds eventually gained consciousness; woke up from their daydreaming. The emcee shook his head and massaged his forehead. He shrieked as he missed many scenes.
"Nandattoo!!! The siren song has enchanted us with their melodious soft voices. It's the technique used by the Poseidon Sentinel to hypnotise and control people's minds. And there we have the ghost whisper technique where the Esper sends them a message and they come immediately as a distraction!!" Screamed the emcee.
The ghosts hovered in the air and faded. Benditto glared ahead and realised Era who floated high up in the air accompanied by a thousand glowing golden tridents. They rained on him which forced him to cross his arms. The trident rain ended with Benditto heavily bleeding and laid flatly on his face. The crowds examined him and the emcee looked at him, incredulously.
"Benditto is knocked down!!! The second victory befall on Era, the imagination!!!" The emcee exclaimed.
Era smiled and bowed then set her eyes on the box and saw her daughter jumping and hopping cheerfully. Her husband winked at her while clapping his hands. She put her hands on her chest as her face turned red.
"Another short battle in the second game. We will now have a break until the third game starts," the emcee dramatically announced.
Benditto and Era were sent to the clinic at instant. Era sat on the bed while the female nurse anointed a cream on her swollen forehead and some part of her body. Her daughter rushed in and immediately embraced her. Her husband stood beside her and kissed her lips.
"Congratulations, my darling," he praised.
"Thank you, I'll have another game to win," Era smiled then they laughed.
Benditto finally gained consciousness and watched himself wrapped with heavy bandages around his body and arms. He saw a middle-aged lady from the box walk closer to him with her shoes knocking the floor.
"Mother," he called softly.
"You have tried your best, you've earned your victory in the previous game, 4 years ago so the victory might be given to other people," her mother replied and sat beside him on the bed.
Another man came into the infirmary with a bright smile with a bouquet of green roses in his arms. He was Yuu. He came and adorned the porcelain vase on the metallic table beside his bed with the roses. Benditto was so surprised by his arrival that his eyes widened.
"I bet it's best to give recovery flowers for all of the sentinel. Nobara-sama would be glad if she knew I visited the other sentinels, hehe," Yuu laughed nervously.
"You're rather odd, acting like a dog," Benditto murmured but Yuu couldn't hear what he said.
He chuckled then produced a red rose from his palm. He lent it to Yuu and ordered him to deliver it to Nobara.
