Chereads / The Demonic Mage: Werewolves Demon alpha / Chapter 19 - A big bow to the wolves

Chapter 19 - A big bow to the wolves

Dean could not believe what he had just seen. He wouldn't believe it if he was told and didn't see it by himself. His son just did what most high-level Mages would find it hard to do. This boy had always been surprising him, but this was next level, and there was no way he would boast to his friends. If he told them, the boy would be brought to serve the king's army, and this was the last thing he would want his son to do. Raio also couldn't believe it; He now started regretting not practicing magic. Damien only stood fixed on the floor as he smiled upon seeing the message displayed in front of him. He clicked on the first link, the one which readabilities.

[Darkness tongue unlocked.]

[Earth magic unlocked: Style of the land turtle.]

This just made Damien smile. He went on to the next link, the job class upgrade.

[New sentinel potency unlocked]

-The pack protection-

-Increases all members of the pack by 45%-

"45%, Damn," Damien said.

'Well, I think you know your abilities. Or do you want me to explain?'

"No thank you."

'But one thing Damien, you also need to upgrade your wolf abilities.'

"Humph, as I need it," Damien replied.

'Else you're going to use your Mage abilities to pay.'

"Wait what?"

'Oh, you haven't read Lucifer's message?' Fay asked.

Damien didn't waste any more time, h he quickly checked the message which turned out to be a video message. In this video, Lucifer explained about his new abilities, about unlocking the new job class. He also explained to him that he needed to balance both his wolf and mage side, else, one of them powers would go down, and so would his job class.

"….Now, about that kill, it wasn't your own work. Fay helped you with the spell. You were lucky that the spell also fetched me bonus also, and warn Fay not to tell you any spell, although she has her own punishment. Now go on, live normally like a very normal human being, and get me souls when the time is right." Lucifer concluded before the video ended.

'There's a surprise waiting for you in the Tomb.' Fay said.

Damien walked to Luke then helped him back up; Luke woke up slowly as he stood back up on his feet.

"Did we win?" Luke asked as he looked around.

"Yes, we won."

Damien bent his head backwards to see Dean rushing towards him. Damien didn't know what was going on, and could only raise his hands to block. Dean swiftly lifted Damien up; a broad smile was on his face.

"Look at you, my young warrior. Have you been practicing these spells?" Dean asked.

"Yes, it took a while. But I got good at it." Damien replied.

"Now you are the definition of a true mage."

"You would be the most powerful student that I would ever train," Dean said.

"Second. Technically," Luke said. Dean laughed before dropping the boy.

"Let's head back." Raio said as he picked up his crossbow.

"Your mum would kill us."

Damien walked out of the forest with a smile on his face; he had just gotten a free upgrade by killing a beast no one would think a 15 year old would be able to slay. This beast was slain by just a 15 year old.

Amanda almost spanked Damien for leaving the house, but thanks to his brother and father, Damien didn't get the beating of his life. Damien walked straight to his room, he rested on his bed. He didn't want to visit the tomb as at this moment. He needed to rest before visiting the tomb. Different thoughts flashed in his head, the thoughts of his previous life, those times that he earned money easily for killing, those times that he was being praised and spent time in the assassination nation. He was so deep in thought, that he forgot his main goal to get to the trident. Damien was interrupted by the opening sound of the door. He looked straight at where the sound came from, to see Lucas standing by the door.

"Hey, you have a minute." Luke asked.

"Oh yeah," He replied.

Luke walked to Damien's bed then sat beside him. He opened up the bag which he was carrying to reveal a beast core. This one was different from the ones he had seen. This one looked a bit small and had a lot of energy surrounding it.

"You forgot to extract it's beast core. It popped right after the ground sealed." Luke said.

Damien couldn't believe that Lucifer would still give him the beast core, but what then was his gain?

"Whoa, thanks Brother Luke."

"No problem, you deserve it anyways. I've always dreamt of forging a weapon out of a sentinel tier beast, but now you get to. I have no doubt that you'll be a powerful warrior one day." Luke said before handing the weapon to Damien.

"Can we go forge the weapon now?" Damien asked.

"Whoa, slow down tiger, what type of weapon do you want?" Luke asked.

"What's your best weapon?"

"I love tridents, spears, mostly long weapons with pointy edges." Luke replied.

"Well then, I want to forge a trident. Do you know where we can?" Damien asked.

"Yeah common let's go." Luke said.

The both went out of the house, without permission of course. Damien and Luke walked through the busy town, with different people walking around, before stopping at a huge blacksmith shop. The both walked into the building to see several men forging weapons of different kinds. Damien was surprised the way they made the weapon. First forge it out of steel using metal manipulation, and then placed the beast core on the weapon which gave it a specific type of color.

"Wow, this is original." Damien exclaimed.

Luke walked to an old man amongst the hundreds of working men as Luke trailed him behind.

"Well, look at that. Came to forge a weapon so soon?" Rick asked.

"Actually, he did." Luke said referring to Damien. Rick stared at Damien with a look of surprise.

"Okay then." Rick said stretching out his hands to receive the core. Rick almost gasped out of surprise when he saw the level of beast core.

"Are you sure you want to give this boy this type of weapon?" Rick asked.

"Yes, he killed the beast by the way." Rick dropped the core when he heard this word.

"Stop joking kid." Rick said before picking up the core.

"Yes uncle, I did." Damien boastfully said.

Rick didn't mention any more word, he lifted a metal then shaped it as a trident, before placing the core in it. The weapon turned brightly purple, with a crystal stone in the confluence point of the three blades.

"Whoa nice," Damien said as he took the weapon from Rick.

"Well, I've done my part." Rick said.

"*Sighs. Well, It wouldn't be a waste if you don't take this weapon from me brother Luke." Damien said as he handed the weapon over to him.

"Wait, are you sure you want to give me a weapon like this one?" Luke asked.

"Yes, I'm too small. It would just hurt me. And besides, I can make another one in the future." Damien said with a smile. Luke collected the weapon before giving Damien a tight hug.

Luke and Damien headed back home. Damien went straight to his room, he needed to visit the tomb, but he couldn't find Raaz. He had to wait since he wouldn't go in without him.

"Where the f*** are you Raaz?" Damien said.

The room door opened, as Raaz walked in, with four beta wolves at his back. Raaz eyes were now red, as he growled. Damien couldn't believe what he was seeing at this moment. Raaz howled, and so did the betas, as their sound reached out to everyone in the silent night.

"All hail our alpha."
