**NOLAN'S POV**
The last few days before it was time to head back to the Academy seemed to pass way too fast. I had liked that I had more time with Addie at the palace, but I knew that it was coming to an end soon. The moment that we stepped off of the carriage at the Academy we would go back to being nothing more than a professor and his student aide. We wouldn't be as close as we were when at home. And that was a little heartbreaking.
That morning, when it was time to start boarding the carriage, I met with Addie and walked with her down to the meeting point. It was cold out now, so we were meeting in a reception room that was next to the back exit to the palace. This was close to the same door that Addie and I had left through to go to the maze, but it would instead lead us to where the flying carriage was waiting.
