**NOLAN'S POV**
I was waiting for Addie to take my hand. I didn't know why, but she was hesitating. Was she afraid of me? Was this because of yesterday? Was she still upset that I had pried into her life and her past? I didn't blame her if that were the case. I had asked for too much from her. I had taken more than she was willing to give at the moment. And because of that, I had broken her trust.
"Thank you, Nolan." She finally smiled at me and took my hand. I was glad that she was moving past that fear of me that she must constantly feel. I didn't want her to be afraid of me. I wanted us to get along together and to be civilized coworkers. I mean, our work environment would suffer if we couldn't accomplish that much.
