After the dinner, Violet led me from the dining room and back upstairs to my new prison cell. That was what I needed to think of it as. No matter what I had to pretend, I needed to see this place as my prison that I needed to escape so that I could go home.
Then again, no matter what I did or where I went, I was certain that I would be hunted down. There was no way that Dominic and Isaiah would let me go after this. Not after what they had found out about me. I could flee to the end of this earth, but I am certain that he would just track me down and drag me back. And this ring that he put on me would probably help him to do so.
As I followed along behind the maid, I did my best to pull the ring off, but it wouldn't budge. I tried to twist it, to pull it, pinch it, I did everything short of biting it. I couldn't bite it right now though, because I was with Violet. If she saw me do that, then it would just lead to more problems and more questions.
