Until suddenly , I hear a voice behind me saying "thank you for the help, but time for you to take a little nap then everything went black."
Three hours later, I awake hands and feet tied being cooked over a fire,
"I think there's been a misunderstanding, why don't you just let me down so we can talk about this" I say to the bird people trying to reason with them.
No response. Then suddenly a man in black appears as if out of thin air wielding a white long sword. In what seems like no more than a second, he gracefully cuts down all those before him.
"Would you mind untying me from here," I say to the man in black.
"So, you're the one that let those rats out," he replies cutting me down.
After witnessing his graceful swordsmanship. I feel compelled to ask him to be my teacher, to which he response by guiding me deeper into the forsaken lands, pointing to a blackish rock.
Saying that only after I am to cut it in half will he take me as his disciple and that if after a month I am unable to so I should leave the forsaken lands and never come back .
"I finally did it " l say enthusiastically remembering the gruelling training I put myself through these past three weeks in order to reach this point
"so you really did kid it" he says after seeing the split rock. "kneel down" he continues, "after I am done with you your sword will be stronger than that of the demon kings, your sword will be strong Enough to cleave the heavens.
You will become a hero greater than any other but it will not be easy , you will experience pain that would make death look like a blessing , are you ready young hero."
"Yes," I scream enough for the whole world to hear
Six months later, why is master having someone of my talents doing a manual job like gathering firewood, like I am his student, not free labor.
Then out of the corner of my eye I spott a shadowy figure!
My first thought is I must be seeing things, but as it came closer I am able to make out some of its features.
Two humongous front horns, large bulky arms and a dark crystal in the center of his forehead.
instinctively I grab my sword as if sensing our impending confrontation and ready myself.
strengthening the grip on my sword and resolve, then with the crack of his monstrous feet the battle begun. He immediately pounced on me to which I countered by dodging to the left, avoiding his attack.
As the battle continued, I realized just how much I'd improved over the last 6 months. Sure I was a long ways from master's level, but I felt that over these months the distance between us had become just a little bit smaller.
The battle goes on with me countering his attacks and attacking during openings whenever they appear. I could tell I was wearing him down. This advantages situation goes on until not focusing enough on my foot work I happen to slip on a loose twig losing my footing.
I trie to regain my balance, but the monster is already upon me. Closing my eyes, I preparing for the end.
"Then out of nowhere I hear a familiar voice saying, "Didn't I tell you to always beware of your surroundings, you brat."
opening my eyes I see the horrifying sight of my master kneeling over me, with the monsters hand through his midsection.
"Why're you crying brat," he says clearly in pain, "a scratch like this is nothing to me."
Then in what seems like no more than a spilt second, he swings his wa sword with such force that I was sure he could cleave the heavens, beheading the beast.
"It looks like this is the end of the line , kiddo," he says falling to the ground.
"Nooooo!, I'II do anything just tell me what herb you need and I'II get it," I say, tears streaming down my face.
"Everyone dies kiddo. It's just a matter of when. Plus I've lived a long life, and I have no regrets."
At that moment watching the life drain out of my master's eyes. I realized that though I'd gotten stronger, I was still so weak and couldn't help but feel uncontrollable hatred welling up inside me towards the demons that had stolen my master's life. "Hatred! Why do you envelope
