"Infini, can you hear me?!" Aiden shouted as he suddenly appeared in a dark and empty place.
He could feel that his body had shrunk in size and that he was hovering around in the dark place without moving. Judging from these things, he even had a good guess about where he was.
But if it really was the place he was thinking about, he was in it for a long time.
No one replied to him and Aiden could only sigh mentally. Though he had to admit, floating in such a place was fun. But fun things could easily be converted into boring things.
After what felt like a year, light suddenly invaded the dark place Aiden was hovering in.
He felt as though someone was pushing him out of the place and he happily exited it. After all, staying in one place for such a really long time was indeed boring.
He suddenly felt a bright flash of light hitting his eyes as he closed them in reflex.
He felt a pair of hands tightly grabbing his waist as he was lifted in the air. Someone gently wrapped him in a soft blanket.
[ You have to open your eyes Aiden or things will go bad. Gently open your eyes and look outside. ] He suddenly heard Infini's voice inside his head, instructing him to open his eyes.
( AN - Whenever Infini and Aiden will converse mentally, it will be enclosed inside [ these ]. )
'But I want to keep them closed...' Aiden's laziness was slowly kicking in but it looked as though he didn't have any other choice.
The dominating aura around him slowly decreased as he opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was the face handsome man staring back at him.
The man looked in his early twenties and had bright red eyes. He had faded brown hair that went down to the nape of his neck.
He was wearing a cloak of some sort and had a muscular physique.
But the main attraction about the man were two blood-red horns coming out from the sides of his head.
It stood out the most to Aiden but they made the man look like a royal person.
The man stared at Aiden with warm eyes as a smile slowly spread across his lips. He then moved forward and handed Aiden to another person before moving backward with a satisfied smile.
[ Who is he? ] Aiden projected his thoughts outwards while thinking about Infini, just like had done in the white room.
[ That person is someone that everyone is afraid of. Humans don't even speak of his name because they fear him, ] Chills suddenly spread across Aiden's back as he heard her words. [ He is the demon king. ]
[ The demon king? Like the one who rules all demons and is supposedly the evilest person ever? ] Aiden couldn't help but stare at the man with narrowed eyes.
[ What you just said is true. I don't have much information about this realm this is the first time I have reincarnated anyone here. But judging from the demon kings I met in the other realms, he will probably be like them too. ] Infini replied but Aiden was instead looking at the person holding him.
The person was a woman who had beautiful moon white skin and looked like someone in her early twenties.
She had silky white hair that were tied behind her head in a ponytail. Two red horns similar to the man's horns were coming out of the front of her head.
(Check this paragraph comment for her image.)
[ Is she my mother? ] Aiden felt a warm feeling suddenly blooming inside his heart as he stared at the face of the woman holding him.
[ Yes, Aiden, she is your mother. But be careful around her since I don't know how dangerous she might be. ] Infini warned Aiden but he wasn't paying attention to her words.
[ Just like how every story is not the same, not every person you meet is evil. ] Aiden replied as Infini fell silent.
[ Just like I thought. We don't have enough information to be sure about anything. But just to be safe, I will still be careful around her. ] Aiden's eyes wandered over the faces of his parents.
He had no idea how he looked but judging from his parents' faces, he probably looked cute and would grow up to become a handsome person.
After all, reincarnated people were supposed to be handsome.
[ Do you want me to give you a really ugly face? ] Infini suddenly intervened his thoughts as Aiden sweatdropped.
[ I will just be happy with average looks. ] He mumbled before he suddenly heard his mother talk.
"What will be his name dear?" His mother sounded curious about this as she glanced at his father.
His father smiled at his mother's words before he slowly moved forward and stood beside the bed.
"Naming a child is an important thing so after many sleepless nights, I have finally settled on a name." His father gently placed a hand on Aiden's forehead.
"Than go ahead Drake, name him." His mother was interested to see what Drake would name their child as.
"I, Drake Shadowstone, the demon king, hereby name my child as Aiden Shadowstone. From this day onward, all demons will bow before my single child and the heir to the throne of demons." Aiden's father, Drake, said in a bold voice as black mist appeared around him.
Aiden heard the noise of lightning striking in the nearby distance as the black mist moved around his body. The black mist settled above his forehead before it entered his head
Aiden felt as though someone was burning a symbol on his forehead as the black mist vanished after a few minutes. He felt an unknown source of power slowly expanding inside him.
"Your turn Aysel." Aysel, Aiden's mother, nodded and Drake's words before she stared at Aiden's face.
"I, Aysel Locksworth, the demon queen, hereby name my child as Aiden Locksworth. From this day onwards, no person would disregard my child." Aysel finished as white mist rose from her body and wrapped itself around Aiden's body.
It moved inside the blanket and settled directly above Aiden's beating heart. The white mist then started invading his body as he felt another symbol burning upon his chest.
Just like the previous mist, the white mist also disappeared after a few seconds.
"Our child will not die, Drake," Aysel's voice sounded as though she was furious about something. "That's one thing I promise my life upon."
"I promise you that too Aysel. If worse came worse, we will sacrifice our lives to protect him." Both Drake and Aysel then stared at Aiden, who was soundly sleeping and hadn't heard anything.
But little did he know that in the future, he would rely on these words.
