"Oh shit!" The leader was instantly alerted as a small smile crept up on Aiden's face.
Perhaps if the Aiden from his previous life would have seen the current him, he would have definitely wondered if he had gone mad.
"You guys are amateurs. I hope you all die while being virgins." He said while taking a deep breath.
"If we can't take him hostage, just kill him!" The leader's voice broke the other people out of their daze. "It would be enough to send a message."
"And what message are you trying to send?" All of them suddenly froze as the entire forest went silent.
It looked as though the forest also knew that something dangerous was about to happen.
"Aiden was right, you guys really are amateurs."
Appearing in front of Aiden, was his mother. Her expression looked calm but her fiery eyes were hot enough to burn a person alive.
It was a wonder that the group of people still stood alive.
"The queen of demons..." The leader took a sharp intake of breath. His entire plan was ruined and now, it was a do or die situation.
"We know we can't defeat you but we will still keep fighting until we die." Instead of directing the reply towards Aysel, he slowly started motivating his people. "We will never bow down to you or the king of demons."
"Who said you are going to die?" Aysel looked confused when she heard the leader's reply.
"You are just gonna let us go?" The leader was even more confused than Aysel.
Perhaps the demon queen had gone berserk after having a kid.
"I didn't say that either. I am not going to kill you. I am going to squeeze every bit of your life slowly. You will be somewhat dead then but will still be alive."
Aysel replied with a smile as she raised her right hand and clenched her fist. The people suddenly yelped as hands made from shadows suddenly started to wrap around their bodies.
[ Aysel Locksworth Shadowstone
Current Title: Supreme Bear Momma
'She loves, she teaches but most importantly, she kills!' ]
'That seems like a weird title system.' Even though Aiden said this, he had no problem with the title.
He then stood up from the tree and glanced down at his body. Except for the few drops of blood around his lips, everything else seemed fine.
"Aiden, close your eyes for ten seconds." Aysel suddenly ordered as Aiden felt like protesting.
"Don't argue with me now. I know that you can handle things other children can't but that doesn't mean that I should let you see them."
Aiden couldn't help but wonder whether his mother had read his mind or not.
'System, can she read my mind with a skill?'
< No host, it's a mother intuition and you are predictable after all. >
'You are insulting me a lot often system.' Aiden observed as he heard a chuckle in reply.
< It's just your vivid imagination host. >
'Somehow, that too felt like an insult.' Aiden sighed as he closed his eyes.
Ten seconds later, he opened his eyes to see that everyone was gone.
'Rest in pieces guys.' Aiden joined his hands for a few seconds before taking a deep breath.
Since a few months, Aiden had been constantly reminded about how weak he was.
Even though he was getting a little bit stronger, he was still considerably weak.
"System, it's a good thing that you are not a spoon feeding system." He suddenly muttered while walking. "Otherwise, I would have completely been dependant on you."
< Thank you host. >
"Now let's do some serious grinding." He cracked his knuckles before starting his grinding.
[ Current exp: 502 / 22095
Elemental Energy: 178 / 300 ]
But even after hard-core grinding, Aiden could only advance by a single level.
'I need to increase the amount of elemental energy I can have.' He thought while panting. 'I should also pay attention to its recovery rate.'
< You currently recover 1 EE per minute host. From a normal person's perspective, it might seem abnormal but at the top, it's nothing. >
'I know that system.'
[ Prince of Shadows
Level 3: 672 / 759 ]
But one thing that was leveling up extremely quickly was his main job class.
But this time, he didn't get the option to unlock any new skills. He only received 2 skill points with the job level up.
'It's better that way I guess. I can instead focus on leveling my previous skills to the max while increasing the exp of both my job class and myself.'
Aiden had a long time goal in his mind which he definitely wanted to achieve.
But before that, he wanted to test something.
After another hour of killing beasts.
[ Prince Of Shadows
Level 4: 12 / 1053 ]
< You will now get new skills after a long interval host. You could have just asked me about this. >
'I had to level the skill so it was better to do it while grinding instead of obtaining the answer from you.'
< The more powerful the host would grow, the fewer buffs your skills would get. Check your shadow walk skill host. >
'What about it system?' Aiden asked while opening the skill details as a surprise awaited him.
[ Skill Name - Shadow Walk
Max Level
(6 EE per shadow walked over)
---
- Allows the user to walk from one shadow to another or in other words, teleport for short distances.
- This skill has been maxed.
Range - 25 meters. ]
'So I can no longer upgrade this skill.' Aiden thought with a sigh but he had already expected something like this.
After all, the skill was specifically named as 'Shadow Walk'. Though it had already exceeded the range of what Aiden could walk.
< You only have to survive for a few more days host and I am sure that something major will happen then. >
'I have a feeling that something major is already happening system. We just don't know about it.'
Aiden replied before continuing his grinding.
