Pt. 2
Time has passed and Alena gave birth to her Twins.
A girl named Artemisia and a boy named Alonzo.
They had both black hair like their father and matching purple eyes like their mother, they looked so alike in many ways, even their personalities were similar, but one thing Alena noticed was Alonzos moles were in a different area than Artemisia.
Alena and Salvador cherished their children with their entire hearts.
Salvador trained his children to be ready for anything as Alena taught them to control the powers they currently had when they turned 6.
"Alonzo! Stay calm!," Alena yelled as Alonzo tried to bloom a flower that only caused more to blossom.
"M-mom I can't h-help!" Alonzo yelped.
"Yes you can, you are already 10. You can do this," she cheered.
"M-mom...," he pleaded nervously as more began to blossom through out the large field they practiced on.
"Alonzo!," they heard a yell from behind them as Artemisia stood only a few feet away waving at her brother "you got this! Think of cherries!"
"What the hell? How is that going to help?!"
"Language," Alena hit his arm lightly.
"Don't you want some!," Artemisia pulled a jar of cherries from behind her back smiling happily.
Artemisia knew Cherries were her brother's weakness to basically anything, she knew if anyone ever bribed him with a jar of cherries he'll do any task he was put up to.
"For cherries!," Alonzo yelled as he slowly calmed his self down.
Alena smiled lightly as she saw the roses slowly disappear from the field only leaving one left behind.
Alena patted her sons back proudly as Salvador clapped from the porch of the house, Artemisia walked over to her brothers side before handing him his reward. Alonzo smiled at his sister and fed her a cherry as well as his mother.
"You did very well," Alena laughed.
"Now it is Artemisia turn," she smirked.
Artemisia smile fades quickly as she began to run towards their home.
Artemisia was in no way wanting to use her powers and refused to participate while her brother controlled his. She wanted to be a normal human like her father and truly hated her powers ever since she accidentally killed her pet bunny at 6 when she found out about her powers.
"Come on flower! You gotta practice or you can harm yourself or someone else!," Alena began to run after her daughter.
"If I just ignore them they can't do anything to anyone!," Artemisia yelled.
"Artemisia!," her mother called.
"No!," she looked back only to feel herself bump into someone's chest and fall to the ground.
Artemisia looks up to only see her father, Salvador standing over her with a small frown.
"Come on," he kneeled down and helped his daughter up "look Princesa, if you don't practice, you won't be able to control your powers in the future-."
"But if I don't think of them they can disappear," Artemisia smiled hopefully.
Salvador sighs and dusts off his daughters pants "that's not how it quite works-, if you keep neglecting your powers, one day when you possibly feel overwhelmed you might actually harm not only yourself but possibly everyone you love," he began to fix her short hair "I know your scared mi Princesa, I understand that 100%, but remember you're stronger thank you think, just like your mother and I."
Alena smiled as she came behind Artemisia and placed her hand on her shoulder softly.
"Trust us okay? We are just trying to keep you safe," Alena said.
Alonzo walked up to the small group eating his cherries and gave one to Artemisia in her palm.
"You might need this," Alonzo giggled.
Artemisia looked at her family feeling a bit more confident in herself as she ate the cherry and lifted up her fist.
"I got this!," she cheered herself up.
"There you go," Alonzo hugged her.
"Yes you do flower," Alena smiled and began to lead Artemisia to the field where her brother stood before her.
Of course Artemisia was worried.
Alena knew this as she saw her daughter start to pick at the corner of her finger nails, she frowns lightly and grabbed her daughters hand softly.
"Don't worry," Alena smiled.
Artemisia nodded softly as they both stopped in the middle of the field.
"So remember the flower Alonzo kept blooming?," Alena asked as Artemisia nodded once again.
"Let's start off by actually making this seed sprout, and move on for it to bloom, yeah?"
"O-okay," Artemisia looked as her mom put the seed on the ground and let her begin her training.
"Close your eyes, I'm going to ask you questions but remember you have to keep calm," Alena informed "when you think of a sprout, what exactly come to your mind?"
"The ground holding it like how you held on to Alonzo and I when we were younger," Artemisia mumbled.
"Okay and?"
"And how you feed and train us to grow stronger and taller."
Alena's eyes widened as she realized the flowers weren't what she was expecting, Alonzo grew roses and thought Artemisia would've done the same, staying calm Alena focuses back on Artemisia's training.
"Okay you can open your eyes," Artemisia opens her eyes slowly looking down where the seed once laid to reveal a stem with violet flowers blooming, Artemisia smiled happily and began to reach for it.
"No," Alena grabbed her hand before her hand can touch the petals "those are poisonous, remember that."
"Now," Alena shriveled the flower and threw more seeds on the ground.
"Try to grow them all."
——
"Did I do good mama?," Artemisia mumbled as her mother laid her to rest for the night.
"Y-yes," Alena smiled nervously and kissed her daughter on the forehead wishing her sweet dreams.
Alena walks out the room and was met with Salvador looking at her worried.
"What was that?," Salvador whispered.
"I-I don't k-know," She stuttered.
"How did she do that Alena?," he mumbled.
"S-Salvador I don't know," Alena began to pull her hair softly.
"Didn't Frigga tell you this after you gave birth she said at 15! Artemisia is just 10 years old!," he began to yell.
"Do you think I wasn't shocked that our child just filled our entire land with those damn flowers?!," Alena yelled back and sat down on a chair.
Salvador began to pace back and forth as he chewed onto his thumb nail.
"You have to go see Frigga," he mumbled and rubbed his face.
"What? I can't just leave right now," Alena mumbled angrily.
"You have to! She said at 15 was when Artemisia was going to be able to stay a normal child like an Asgardian! 15! We don't have anything planned for this Alena! She almost got us hurt!," Salvador yelled.
"Be quiet! She will hear you! She's already worried about that Salvador," Alena's eyes began to water.
"I thought we had more time, I didn't think- I didn't know this was going to happen so soon, I didn't know she could've harmed you or Alonzo, she didn't mean too," Alena began to cry.
Salvador sighs lightly as tears run down his cheeks "I know she didn't mean to, I know she's a good child, but you have to go speak with Frigga, you have to take both of our children to her since the future has been changed," Salvador hugged her.
"I know...," Alena hugged him back.
"I'm just scared for them," she whispered.
"Me too."
——
Early the next morning Alena had the twins all dressed up to meet the queen, Alonzo was sleepy and Artemisia as well.
"Do I have to wear the bow?," Artemisia mumbled as she began to mess with it.
"Don't you dare missy!," Alena grumbled at Artemisia who quickly moved her hand away.
"Mama?... where are we going?," Alonzo yawned.
"We have to meet your aunt," Alena answered.
"We have relatives?," Artemisia asked shocked.
"Well more like an old friend but she's basically a sister," Alena mumbled.
"So I can call her Aunt?," Alonzo asked.
Artemisia hits his arm lightly "remember what dad said! It's Tia!"
"Ohhhh yeahhh," Alonzo nodded.
"Yes you guys can call her that, she won't understand what that means but once you explain it to her I'm sure she'll be more than happy," Alena laughed.
——
The twins sit near their mom eating cookies giggling with one another in the tea room of Odins castle as their mother looked at them.
Happy knowing they looked okay for now her hands began to sweet as she waited for Frigga.
"Alena what are you doing here so suddenly?-,"Frigga walks into the room stopping in her tracks to only begin to run towards the twins happily.
"Oh my goodness!! Look at you two!! I haven't seen y'all since you guys were babies! Do you remember me I'm Aunt Frigga," she clapped happily.
The twins shake their head slowly and looked at mysterious woman confused.
Frigga began to reach out to them before Alena stopped her "we need to talk," she said sternly.
"Why what's wrong let me play with the children first and talk about whatever after," Frigga groaned as Alena pulled her off to the other side of the room.
"That's the thing!," Alena raised her voice lightly "-I'm sorry... You said Artemisia was going to have regular Asgardian powers till she turns 15?," Alena sighed.
"Well yes that is what I saw? What's wrong Alena?," Frigga began to worry.
Alena began to pace and started pulling her hair "s-she has t-them already, and Salvador and I don't know w-what to do! We thought we had more t-time to figure out how we are going to be able to help h-her and... and...," Alena began to cry softly.
"That can't b-be true A-Alena? I saw i-it at 15? A-Artemisia is just 10 years old, a-are you sure?," Frigga rubbed Alena's back nervously.
"She just filled our entire land with Delphinium," Alena grumbled.
"Delphinium? B-but how th-those went extinct many years ago, an-and a-an entire field?," Frigga sighed.
"Not an entire field, our entire land Frigga! Thankfully she has it a bit controlled and the flowers didn't touch My husband and her brother," Alena mumbled.
Delphinium was a poisonous flower that can cause death for many animals and death to humans if digested, it will also cause itching to skin; however, in Asgard the Delphinium is way more different than the one on earth. The beautiful and alluring violet flower was actually very poisonous, to touch in Asgard and was the cause of many deaths due to its beauty that caught many asgardians eyes. With just a single touch you will die in just 3 minutes, it will start with a burn that felt like your skin was melting off, then hallucination, and lastly the heart will simply stop beating.
"Can you do another look? Just her, Alonzo is fine, just please look for me once again," Alena begged.
"You didn't have to ask," Frigga mumbled before they made their way back to the twins.
"Artemisia, come here," Alena called.
Artemisia stands up and walks towards the adult women, Alena grabs her hand in a firm grip "Frigga will need your hand for a bit, is that okay?"
"Yes," she whispered.
Frigga smiled softly and grabs Artemisia's hand softly before taking a deep breath and closing her eyes.
"Artemisia..."
