[Rest of the was page torn. You turn to the next page..]

This tale follows a girl. She wasn't anyone special. Her skills were average, she had no special power nor magic. The only thing which stood out about her, were her gem like purple eyes. Besides that she had black hair which was slightly longer than her shoulders. Her skin was somewhat pale.

She was dragging a bag with her, she was beat up. She looked ahead, she could see the dim lights of a nearby city. "Finally.. I'm so close.." She said under her breath. She lead a brutal life, each day coming home more beat up than last time. But she had no choice, she had to live somehow. Killing animals, monsters, bandits and so forth, submitting their remnants as a means to show proof, as a means to gain living expenses.

The girl had finally reached the city. The city had a wall surrounding it, with a single gate leading inside. She stammered past the gate and into the city, it was quiet and silent. After all no one else would be out this late. She had made her way to a somewhat large building as she pushed the doors open using her shoulder, almost falling down. Even the building seemed to be empty just like the streets, though there was one person sitting by a counter. "Out so late, again? It's great to see that you're still kicking though, Naisa" Said the person. It was a girl, she had greyish hair, with blue eyes. She was someone who worked at the reception in the building. "Sure am..!" The girl who's name we found out is Naisa responded. She seemed to force a smile, even though she felt so sick, so empty..

She brought the bag over to the girl at the reception. She claimed her reward, though after that greeting the both of them didn't speak a single word. After claiming it, she left the building as fast as she could. She rushed back to her small room which she called her home, stumbling over her own feet. When she got inside she locked the door, her heart beating so fast, she didn't know why she felt this sudden fear. She made her way to her bed, closing her eyes. "Another day down.." She thought to herself as she fell into a deep slumber. Her eyes slowly opened, there was nothing. She was surrounded by an endless void. She could hear voices all around her, whispers in her ears and even something reaching out for her. No matter where she looked she saw nothing, no one at all.. "This must be a nightmare!! There is no way this is reality.." Tears formed in her eyes, she felt fear unlike any before. The dread of something looming over her..

Then all of a sudden she shot straight up, clenching her chest. She found herself back in her own bed. It was a nightmare after all. Her heart was beating faster and faster. She looked outside the window. The sun was now shining and slowly seeping into her room. "What was that..?" she asked herself.

The day moved forward as usual. Once again she returned in the evening, her body beat up. "How much longer can you keep doing this?" Asked the person by the counter. "You look way worse than yesterday, just make sure not to lose your life.." Naisa stared at the girl for awhile. "I'll be fine, I can keep going.." She said as she left the building. This time she felt no urge to rush home, her slow footsteps echo throughout the streets. She eventually found herself laying down in her own bed again, she fell asleep once more.

She found herself in the same place once again. Hands grabbing onto her, and a strange figure standing before her. It was telling her something, yet she couldn't make out a single word.

Waking up in cold sweat once again, her hand clenching her chest. Her nightmares repeated themselves each time she closed her eyes to sleep, to dream. She eventually stopped sleeping. Her eyes had lost their initial spark, they seemed gloomy and colourless. Yet they didn't leave her be. The voices followed her, she felt as if something else is following her. It's hands reaching out for her. Seeing things at the corner of her eyes. "Am I going insane..?" She thought to herself. No matter how much she pushed herself forward, she couldn't escape it.

Eventually she found herself standing in a field which stretched far and wide. A cold breeze passed by, she felt somewhat at peace finally. She didn't know how much time had passed, but eventually she noticed a person standing in front of her. They were different from the one's she kept seeing, they were real. It was a man, he had light blueish hair, his eyes were blue too. They seemed fierce and ruthless. His clothes seemed roughed up, he seemed like a wanderer, maybe a wanted criminal running away? He took his sword out, and pointed it towards the girl. It was long and curved inwards. It was pretty, it had patterns on it which resembled lines as they stretched to the tip of the blade. The sword seemed to almost shine..

The girl understood what was happening. She unsheathed her sword too, it wasn't as glorious as the one before her. But it was all she had. She knew she had no chance, yet she seemed relaxed, even happy. She finally had a way to escape all that was tormenting her. As their swords clashed together, Niasa kept getting pushed back. He was overpowering her, his strikes almost knocking her over. With one powerful and quick strike she had lost her balance. She had a relieved smile on her face as his sword sliced against her flesh, from her chest down to her lower body. Blood dripping from her wound, she couldn't stand up straight anymore as she fell to her knees.

Eventually she fell to the ground, her eyes slowly closing. "Thank you.." She whispered as the man was walking away. Is this what she desired? I this how her story ends? It must be..
