Chapter 2 - veAli

"There used to be someone who was unmatched. Yet one faithful day it all came to an end. Their existence scattered across the universe. It is believed that they no longer exist, not even a part of their soul." Spoke a man, his voice was calm, yet filled with a sense of justice. It felt as If he was the embodiment of holiness.

"Huh..? What is this burning feeling in my chest? How am I.."

The man turned around, his eyes widened in shock. The girl who just had a wound across her whole middle body is standing up. The wound is deep so it's shocking to see her standing. But her wound was seemingly healing as if nothing happened. "Is she a monster?!" His own words echoed through his mind. "There is no way.. She still looks human." Though she did look different, her once black hair, now a pure white, her face was hard to see. She was giving off a completely different vibe. "How is this possible.." The man thought to himself.

The girl lifted her hand up, a sword manifested in the palm of her hand. It was different than her normal one. It looked strange, ancient... She didn't waste a single second, she dashed at the guy, even he was surprised by her sudden movement. She was now incredibly fast, appearing right before the man. As she swung down the man barley dodged, but the ground ended up shattering from the sheer force of the attack, debris flying everywhere. She kept swinging at him, he felt utterly overpowered.. Yet he wasn't about to give up. He pushed her back and made some distance. He pushed his sword into the ground, a strange light began emitting from him. "I won't die to your hands.." He said out-loud to the girl.

This was his trump card. He had gained an immense boost in power. He seemed faster and stronger, now able to keep up with the girl's newfound strength. Swords clashing against each other, yet the girl's power seemed to grow and grow. But soon the man noticed something, cuts and wounds formed on her body, which he didn't make. "Was it a drawback to her power?" He thought to himself. The girl swung down at the ground on purpose as it once again shattered, she wanted to create distance..

"It's over." The girl finally spoke, her voice was calm yet somewhat disturbing. She dropped her sword as it vanished into thin air. She lifted her hand towards the man and formed a small ball of pure magic. The man's instinct kicked in, he was the prey. He tried to dodge, but it was too late. In an instant from the ball shot off a beam, yet nothing seemed to happen.. But then in a blink of an eye the ground shattered leaving a huge indent of where the beam was shot. And the man? Nothing was left of him, he was disintegrated by the sheer force of the beam.

Her vision seemed to get blurry, she was having a hard time stand up. She fell to the ground, her eyes slowly shutting closed. She seemed to have passed out.

Eventually she woke up, her eyes slowly opening to see the aftermath of her battle. "What happened.. How did I..?" She pondered of how she was able to win the battle, how she was still alive. She slowly got up, her whole body burned and ached in pain. She began limping back towards the city or at least where she thought it was.. Eventually she made it back, walking through the familiar gate and towards the building she used to visit every evening.

"Naisa..? You're still alive!!" The receptionist cried out in joy as she seemingly pulled Naisa in for a tight embrace. "It's been months, where have you been? Did you decide to change the colour of your hair? I almost didn't recognise you.." She sounded both relieved and worried. "Months..? I.. It doesn't matter. It's fine as long as I'm still alive, right?" Naisa responded, though what surprised her was that she was out cold for months and on top of that her hair is still white. "You can let go of me now.." She said as she pushed the receptionist away. "Is there any job for me to do?" She seemingly looked down at her arms as she said that. "You want to leave this quick..? Sure, over there.." Naisa nodded and took one of the many papers off the wall and left.

She wanted to test her newfound strength to it's limits, though she was worried. She wondered if her body would be able to withstand it. But then her eyes widened once more.. The voices were back, she could feel something grabbing onto her. "Don't tell me you've forgotten.." She could hear something, someone whisper into her ear. Their voice was cold and empty. When she looked, there was nothing there, she had thought she finally had gotten away from them. Her heart pounding against her chest. She looked down at the paper and took a deep breath.

The man stood up from his chair as he looked at the beings around him. The way he looked even seemed to embody, what holy means. "Though if they ever came back, we would have to.." Suddenly they were cut off, when another person rushed into the room. They came up to the man and started to whisper something in to his ear. The man seemed overjoyed. He left the room in a rush with the person which came in. They headed off to somewhere, to maybe get an item?
