After lunch, all of the visitors including the earl rest for a bit. They have been exhausted from their travel and it also made it harder for them since snow is starting to fall.
There, the afternoon pass swiftly and dusk began.
I'm currently sitting at my study, waiting for the visitors to come.
They will, of course, need my permission as the head of the territory if they will investigate something.
And so, as I expected, a knock was heard from my door.
"Come in,"
I didn't hesitate to give my permission and so, person by person, they come in and sit down as I gesture them to do so.
Except for the Earl.
He stand there, full of dignity, and look at me as if he's accusing me of involvement.

As I start the conversation, the mood inside the study suddenly turn tense. I also expected it but I'm kinda getting nervous.

I tilt my head and made a confuse expression as if I don't know anything.

I lean my back to my chair and hold my chin as if thinking.

They all began to have a bright expression to them as soon as I gave them permission.

All of them, including the Earl, made a confusing look.

"Before you check my palace, I would like you all to be checked thoroughly. Of course, including your baggage, possession, and even your clothes! Another one is, I want my servants to remain at your side everytime while the rest of them will guard every room in my palace. Is that okay?"
As soon as I state my conditions, the Earl, whom I expected to be formidable, suddenly burst out his anger.
"Don't be absurd, you brat! This is a direct order from his majesty! Are you trying to interfere to this?"

Remember, His majesty did tell you to search here, however, it is still my territory, and what I do that will not hinder your operation, can still be acceptable to him, is that right?"
The Earl open his mouth for a second and immediately shut it off only to make a grumbling sound.
The rest of the visitors are also at tense since the conditions are also disadvantageous for them. They know, because if one accident were to happen to my servants, they will be held accountable to it since the king didn't permit such action!
"Do you accept, Earl Sergius?"
I smile wickedly from my chair as if I am relaxing while looking at the flustered man in front of me.
How disappointing.
I really did put much expectation to him since he look like those I see from the movies where in they are the so called tough ones.
It took them for awhile before accepting my terms and left the room with a defeated aura.
I relax my back to the chair as I thought about the face of the old grumpy face of his when I heard a knock on my door.
I ask who it is only to hear the adorable voice of my adorable fiancée, and so, I let her in and receiver her with a hug.
The meeting didn't took too long, but I can't help but feel mentally exhausted.
Though, I'm sure they're more exhausted than myself since they lose!
