Blake frowned when Lyra started fidgeting in his arms and turned to face her "What happened? Is something wrong?"
Yes, everything is wrong thought Lyra. she just put her head down and whispered "Put me down I can't sit properly on your hands"
Blake was displeased, he wanted to hold her near him as much as he could because it is still sunny and she wouldn't feel cold so he tried to adjust his hands to hold her properly but felt something wet on his hands, he casually looked at his hand and saw traces of blood and suddenly panicked thinking that she got injured and put her down and looked her from top to bottom and noticed blood on her butt.
"Lilly! are you injured somewhere? why are you bleeding? Doctor, we must go to the doctor now!!" he started panicking in a loud voice which attracted many beast-men
Lyra wanted to facepalm because of the embarrassment, she didn't dare to look up and only held his hand and dragged him away from people
Then she said "Stop it, Blake, I'm not injured it is normal for me to bleed"
However, he didn't believe that "How can it be normal for you to bleed. Look how much you are bleeding" he said showing his hand
Lyra blushed furiously and took him to the river and washed his hand. Blake was still nervous and was continuously pestering for her to go see a doctor
Lyra gave up and went with him to the doctor, maybe he may listen to the doctor. They entered a slightly bigger stone house than other houses which had the fragrance of kitchen, well they used cooking items as medicine here so it was normal
Blake knocked on the door, after a second an old man with wrinkles and a beard came out of another room "What can I do for you"?
" Doctor look at my female, she is bleeding" Blake softened his voice as much as he could
The doctor was surprised "Bring her over here, where did she get injured. You should take care of females well, don't you know how delicate they are?" he reprimanded
Lyra couldn't sit still and voiced "Doctor I'm fine, I'm not injured, it is just ju just" she stuttered and couldn't complete her words
The doctor also saw that she wasn't injured anywhere and when he saw her bottom he understood and started laughing and said
"Young man, she is totally fine she has just gone into heat"
Blake blinked several times then opened and closed his mouth many times but couldn't utter a word. He knew what going into heat meant and it was mentioned in his legacy, it's just that seeing her blood he couldn't think straight.
The doctor stopped laughing and gave some cotton wrapped in a leaf to Lyra and explained to Blake
"This is normal for females and they go into heat once a year and it is a great opportunity to get your female pregnant, you should happy"
Blake was struck with his words. 'Pregnant? Lilly? With his babies? How adorable would they be just like Lilly' he put on a silly smile thinking that
On another side, Lyra was also struck by his words. 'what? once a year? periods? am I dreaming?' she didn't know whether to inform them about her periods but at last, didn't want to risk and just stayed silent
Then the doctor asked, "Where are you guys staying"?
"In the forest, in my cave" answered blake
The doctor turned towards him and widened his eyes "Are you crazy? You have a female now and still, live in the forest? Do you want your female to die"?
If anyone talked to him like this in past he would rip the person's head off his body but because he was concerned for his Lilly he tolerated it.
The doctor continued "If females live in the forest during the rainy season or winter season they will fall ill and die and it is not safe for them to stay alone in the forest where wild beasts can attack her or in the worst case, those stray beasts may snatch them, so think properly"
Blake listened to him seriously and thought about it, wild beasts cannot come near his territory but stray beasts are different. They are not bound to anything and are ruthless filled with hatred towards females, even his family was attacked by stray beasts and he knew even if they aren't strong as him, they can always attack Lilly who is his weakness now.
After thinking, Blake said "Okay ill stay here in this village I already paid clear gemstone to your village, show me the best house here"
The doctor gladly accepted and brought us to a stone house with three rooms, two rooms of the same size one room which was smaller for females to bath. It was cozy with stone pots and a grass nest. Blake also bought new animal skin, some vegetables, fruits, cotton, and some herbs.
Lyra was sticky all over and wanted to take a bath, Blake gladly obliged and filled a large stone bowl in the small room with water, he also went out to give some privacy, she brushed her teeth using salt and charcoal and washed up.
After she finished, she came to the living room and saw Blake seriously putting cotton in her underwear and blushed, then went towards him and snatched that away "What do you think you are doing"?
Blake blinked "The doctor taught me this, he said you would need this during heat, so I was preparing"
Lyra was instantly touched, she thought he was someone dangerous and still knew he is but with her he would always lower his voice as though he is scared that I would cry, and despite not knowing anything he went to that doctor and learned how to take care of her and she also knew that he is not someone to listen to others. How many guys in the modern world take care of women during periods? they always complain about mood swings and stay away from them but this guy who is very strong and also rich because of those gemstones was making a handmade pad for her. Sob Sob
she relaxed and said "I will make these myself, don't force yourself, I know you have never done these things"
He frowned "But I want to take care of you, it is very fun looking after you"
she rolled her eyes and went into the bedroom and put on his handmade pad and came out.
Now he was studying the vegetables and fruits and went to smash them, Lyra widened her eyes and stopped him "why are you smashing them?"
"The doctor said to make you vegetable soup so I was thinking of smashing and mixing everything" he innocently replied
she sighed "That is not how you make vegetable soup, get up I'll show you"
He pouted but still moved, Lyra took a stone bowl and added water, and cut vegetables and put into it and after some time she added salt, chili, and other things and closed the lid and let it become thick. After few minutes she opened the lid and served a bowl of soup and tasted it. It was good she did well for the first try and gave blake to try some but he said
"I'm a carnivore Lilly, I can't eat vegetables you finish it, do you want me to roast some meat for you?"
She didn't feel like eating and rejected it, then she munched some fruits which were very fresh compared to the modern world
Then she went to sleep in the grass nest in the bedroom. Blake cleaned up everything and went to the bedroom and saw his Lilly sleeping peacefully like a baby. He wanted the time to freeze right at this moment so that he could look at her all day.
He never longed for someone's company as much as he did now and was already getting used to being near her and never wanted to return to his old life and if someone tries to separate them he would not hesitate to kill them. He was just easygoing with his Lilly but that is not the same for others.
