Then she put the stone pot on the fire and started boiling it and at last added lemon juice and left it to get thickened. After cooling down, the jam tasted pretty good but was not thick like a ready-made one, well it would be okay as long as it was edible.
In the evening when Blake returned Lyra was eating her food, "Lilly I'm back" Blake said in his deep baritone voice.
Lyra gleamed and went to the door to welcome him "Blake, come in fast I prepared fruit jam,you must taste it!"
Blake froze in his steps, it was always like this, his Lilly would forget that he was a carnivore and make him eat many vegetables and fruits while trying to make new dishes and when he tried to stop her, she would cry and say that all men are same be it a beastman or human. He for the love of God didn't even know what he did wrong but at last, to placate her, he would eat and endure. Then all of sudden she would kiss him and giggle. He really wanted to know what was happening to her to change her moods so often. 'Well he didn't know that it was mood swings, cough cough'
"Lilly, it is already so late you should sleep now. I promise that I will eat it in the morning" Blake tried his luck.
Lyra was also feeling tired so she went to the bedroom. Blake sighed and followed her, he was saved today.
