The car that stopped in front of me was...
'Oh my God, Nectar V2!'
My eyes popped out wide at the appearance of the silver laden car.
Putting aside its weird name, this car was the real deal. Let me not even go into the list out its greatness for if I start talking it would already take all night for me to finish.
It was a ride that I had always desired. But couldn't have it... or rather it was a ride that money could hardly buy.
"Get in!"
I snapped out of my daze as the man ordered me from the driver's seat. I couldn't help but raise my brows.
Strange... I feel like I had heard this voice before...
But I got in without a fuss. I was already sweating buckets and needed some air conditioning after all. And above all... it was Nectar we were talking about.
On getting inside, I realized that the man wasn't alone. Sitting beside him there was a woman too.
But what was strange was...
'Why are they wearing masks?'
It couldn't help but bug me. I mean, was it an ailment? If so why were both of them at the same state?
By the way, felt really shady of me to accept it, but the woman sitting in the front seat had really beautiful eyes so much so that I couldn't help but be curious who she was.
'Having a Nectar with them. They couldn't be a nobody like me, now could they?'
A bit of digging into it was all I needed to figure out their identity. But that was the least of my concerns at the moment.
"Excuse me, sir..."
The man nodded.
"City station? Is it? We will take you there, no worries."
"Yes!"
Was it so obvious? Before I could get the chance to tell him about it he already knew where I wanted to go. I couldn't help but be even more suspicious.
I mean I was certainly rash getting into a car of shady people like them. It was indeed immature of me to act that way. But it was the Nectar V2 that got me in.
Now I couldn't resist trying out how the seats felt even if it might cost me dearly later on.
It was a man's romance to have a car like this one.
I turned my attention to the world outside of the car though...
The street lights flashed... as the cars switfly passed by. And of course there were bicycles too.
This was supposed to be one the safest place that one could find. It seemed like there was nothing wrong here unlike the rest of the world. But that wasn't why I had bought a place here.
And top begin with, the only reason I had shifted to a place like this was because...
It was because...
*Sigh*
Anyway, I was going out of this haven today. But, it was just today. It was an exception that I couldn't help but make. Once I am done I would return back and continue my everyday life just like I used to before.
A ride on something like Nectar felt like a breeze... and before I knew it we were already at the station.
I had to accept. I really thought something shady was about to happen but thankfully I was safe and sound and nothing bad happened with me yet.
"Thank you! Really thank you for everything!"
Someone who owns a Nectar probably won't have any use for my money, would he? Thus this was the only thing I could come up with as a way of relaying my gratitude.
"Ha Ha, no worries. Rather are you sure you should be standing here? You would miss your ride you know."
"Ah yes I would pick the next one."
"Sure sure, but don't you have anything to ask me? It seems that you are in quite the panic."
"Eh?"
Was I supposed to ask something? I have no idea.
'Who are you?' That was probably what I wanted to know but truth be told I had no business with this person. He was just a helper that I felt gratidute for.
"I don't think so."
I shook my head. For some reason I heard the woman sitting beside him chuckling under her breath. Was there anything funny about it?
The man's eyes relaxed. He probably had a bright smile behind that mask of his.
"Anyway, there is only one thing that I can advise you at this stage. That is ...You should value your own life more for it is more valuable than you think."
"What do you..."
*Vroom*
But before I could say anything the car drove past me. It didn't take long for it to completely disappear out of my sight.
"...mean?" my words were heard by none. All I could do was stare as the silver car that left me behind.
'That's strange. Who was he anyway?'
'I should value my life more?'
Perhaps that mysterious man had figured out that I was going to visit City 13. How he had done that was unimportant though. He must have a power that enabled him in that.
I looked up at the sky above as I stood in a daze.
"He is right."
The dark clouds moved in the night sky... casting an omnious shadow.
I wasn't going to City 13 per se.
City 13 was a barren city of dungeons whose space was as chaotic as it could have been.
The hospital that Eternal was moved to couldn't possibly be in such a city like that, could it? It would have been destroyed and demolished to pile of rumble even before it was built had that been the case.
Rather, I was going City 14 instead. While not completely safe but it was well regulated by the heroes destroying any dungeons that emerge there as fast as possible.
But even that was too dangerous for someone like me whose contitution was no different than a normal human being. I was simply risking it for no good reason.
What became of Eternal? I could probably follow the news channels and find out. There was no reason for me to be there in person.
That man was right. Or at least that was what I had thought he meant.
I am not valuing my life enough.
"Just a little bit won't hurt would it? I would come out of there as soon as possible."
At least that was what I had thought.
I couldn't deny the yearning I felt. It was magnetic... it was... No, I was probably consumed by sorrow.
