Gazing upon the string that bound me and Corazon together, I witnessed the golden interface above my index finger change.
It now displayed information pertaining Corazon, but not his true name and location out of respect for his privacy.

This individual is the 1,678 Soul created in the world. A particularly powerful soul with incredible luck. However, their total age is quite young compared to other souls in the same number range.
One particular life this individual lived was part of an event that made an impact on current Earth, contributing to the war now known as the First World War as a soldier.
An unusual aspect of this soul has undergone the kindling of aura. It is estimated that this soul will manifest an ability that exhibits power rivalling that of a Demigod...]
The change in information was alarming, it is apparent that my meddling has engendered an evolutionary process that progressed the speed of manifestation in him.
To put simply, when I casted the spell that synchronised our dreams together, the magical energy fed back through the fate string, sending him some of my own magical energy that would then nourish his soul and subsequently; accelerated his evolution.
That evolution being when humans manifest supernatural powers. Something that happens often actually.
An event like this comes and goes often because of something called a Mass Manifestation.
An event where an aspect of the multiverses somehow is affected heavily, causing a 'glitch' to occur, in which case the 'code' of living beings is altered to withstand the changes. In other words. It was an update.
Of course these updates were only supposed to affect those that required them, and only to those that suffered a level of damage to their souls after the 'glitch'. This way, the Universe did not need to waste resources much.
The Mass Manifestation was supposed to happen in approximately thirty years. Humans gaining powers was inevitable anyways, but for it to be this early was not expected.
It was good that there was only one, so it was relatively easy to control. However, another cause for concern was the fact that the information specifically stated that Corazon's power rivalled that of a Demigod Hero.
That meant that he could be powerful enough to defeat entire human armies by himself with just the raw power of his ability.
I should know personally, after all, I was evidently a Demigod myself. Well, to be more specific, I was a human turned Demigod with control over all forms of liquids. Also known as the Celestial Guardian of Earth.
As it turns out along with that title, I have a few privileges and many more abilities than I expected! And those powers came from the Gods themselves, you know, the ones that left me to be the only supernatural existence on Earth.
During these revelations, I found out that I was much more powerful than I initially thought. But for now, all I can do is manipulate bucketfuls of liquids.
One other thing to mention was that apparently, human turned Demigods inherit powers seemingly at random accordingly to which God blesses them. And it looks like I was blessed by some kind of God of Liquids.
With time I can probably control my powers more, and unlock new ones as well. I wasn't sure how though. But I'll figure it out later.
Anyways, if one compares me and Corazon together, taking at face value my official title, it would seem that I was stronger than him.
But, unfortunately no, we were probably even in power. Why? Because, well, not only did we both just gain our powers, we have not even trained them to full mastery yet and if we include the fact I had no combat experience, it was quite likely that either one of us would win or tie 50/50 depending on the circumstances.
Also, I don't even know what his special ability was. After all, you couldn't discount the fact that he could do some messed up stuff that would completely overpower my control over liquids.
Which is why, starting today, I will train until I feel like dying. Though, technically I shouldn't be able to die completely now that I'm a Guardian of Earth I guess.
Though that doesn't mean I was completely immortal. I could just heal faster and resurrect myself with my privileges.
Which reminds me, what other privileges do I have? I knew that I could revive back in the pool where it all started. I could also access information directly from the universe to my own discretion. I could cast magic all I wanted with necessary preparations and the like. Learn anything I wanted to.
But what else? Pondering over it did no good, so I merely pulled up the information on the privileges of being a Celestial Guardian of Earth on an interface.

The Guardians are there to protect Earth from any imminent danger and to prevent any errors occurring in the great plans the Gods devised.
While it is their duty to maintain order, there are some boundaries they may not cross unless deemed necessary.
And that is to never interfere in any plans regarding mankind. Nor any plans regarding the deities.
However, since the event the entirety of the Cosmos are occupied at the moment battling the Qliphoth, it is your duty to become the defender of Earth.
If you are reading this, it means you have been chosen to replace the Gods in the event that they have gone to fight their final war.
Once a new file is updated into the system, please remember to check up on it and act upon the instructions immediately.
As the Guardian of Earth, you are capable of accessing any domain you wish.
To lessen your stress, the Chthonic deities have sealed away all souls in the Afterlife that are not part of the war so there is no need to watch over the demons and sinners or wandering spirits.
In addition, you can gather any information about anything you desire. Even in relation to increasing your own power.
If you wish to, you can access any power system you desire, granting yourself the capability to cast any spell, use any unnatural abilities of all kinds of power systems.

There was a lot going on there in the file, and it went on and on with how much new things I was capable of. So much in fact that I had to have the Akashic Records summarise everything.

Even summarised, there was way too much to read. And the last thing on the list was actually a caveat to all this.

Reading this, I wasn't actually too disappointed. After all, it all sounded too good to be true anyways.
After all, I was told that I was a Demigod. I mean, if a Demigod could do all that, then I'd be scared of what an actual God could do.
But knowing all this now put me at ease, still a little scared though. And although I wasn't really disappointed, I was slightly saddened to know that I couldn't become a world ruler by now.
The future is a different story though. This Apotheosis or whatever it's called, I'll be sure to complete it.
Because no way am I passing away the chance to become a God. After all, I had big plans for this world.
