Maryann was primed and ready. She'd been worried that she'd botched things by kissing Albert to rile Riya up and then going on a rampage after Albert had called her out on what she did after causally informing her that he'd made dinner plans with Riya for the following evening. It was just supposed to be spaghetti and meatballs while they went over some books but she didn't buy it.
But for once, it seemed, her temper had worked in her favor. That scene at the bar, and her almost public humiliation of Albert--almost because the music had been too loud to cause a scene--had brought him around as surely as a brass ring through his nose. Of course, it could be that he would try to seriously warn her off in private, seeing as he always handled matters between them privately. But she wasn't prepared to leave without having her man back tonight. She was going to have her wedding ring back on her finger and a new marriage license in her hand as quick as a lick.
