Albert speared her with a probing intensity. Then glanced towards the short corridor that led to his bedroom. It would be best if he listened to his still, raging hormones and sent Riya off now. Besides, it's rude that he's keeping Kyla waiting. But his curiosity burned. It clawed at him, pushing him to look. Even if was just for a minute.
He passed the book to her and said, "Show me."
Amusement sparkled in her eyes. She collected the book and moved past him with gusto. He followed behind her, wondering where she was headed till she covered the short distance to his dining area, and pulled out a chair. She set the book on the table and began flipping through the pages.
"Can I have a beer?" she asked.
"Err, sure." he hesitated, then added, "But once you're done here, you'll have to leave...There's a curfew."
"Of course," she smiled at him. "I'll just have a bottle of beer and leave."
