"What happened? Who fucked up?"
The agents under Albert's unmerciful gaze didn't say a word. They were afraid to breathe. "Well?" His bellow rattled the window glass in his new office in the Glasgow Creeks police station, where he had set up his command post after more agents were sent to the town.
One of the two agents involved in the snafu that afternoon finally worked up enough courage to speak. "We'd been staking out her house, sir. We've also been monitoring her every move like you asked and nothing had happened. Till...till today."
"What happened today?" Albert asked again, in a dangerously voice low.
"She got into a vehicle with some men. I guess they knew we were after them. They tried to shake us off, but team 2 alerted us when they switched cars. Things were going well until... We lost them again. So, we… uh… fucked up," the agent finished lamely.
