NADIA
Flying to Spain was as quick as the word quick could be.
Nadia couldn't believe she was flying in a private jet. Not just any jet but a luxury jet worth billions and billions of dollars.
Oh My God, she would have shouted if not for the company she had. Never in her dreams did she imagine a day like this was going to come. Just think of the number of people she could brag to about this.
She hated going to school reunions because most girls had a lot to say. She, just kept quiet and drank.
Things were changing for the better. She loved it.
She sat across Ian and tried her best to contain her excitements. Simon also sat beside Ian as they discussed a few topics which she thought didn't need her attention and interest that's why she wasn't involved.
A few times, she looked out the window but most of the time she was sorting out documents/files on the land ownership.
She had studied a bit of law herself and she could understand the legal terms.
After an hour, she had sorted out all the files they needed and quietly sipped the champagne provided on flight.
She smelled the bubbles of the crystal blue champagne bursting in her nostrils and it was divine.
It reminded her of Ian's eyes.
She glanced at him and their eyes locked. It was funny that he looked towards her at that time when she was thinking about him.
A smile tagged at her lips and Ian broke the gaze.
She gently placed the glass on a side tray and placed her hands on her laps. Like a good girl.
"Mr. Faurot can I discuss something with you about things I noticed in these legal documents?"
Nadia asked whilst picking up the documents again. Ian just looked at her.
"I think the problem is from your tax representative. I don't know whom you are using but most of these kinds of legal issues mainly arise from tax representatives.
" And what problem will that be? " Simon asked.
" There's nothing in these papers that prevents you from owning land and property in Spain. The previous estate owner is suing to get his lands back. You also have all legal documents."
She handed a document to him.
" The Numéro de Identificacion del extranjero is here, "
She handed over another document
" which is essential to carry out any transaction. So if you are being sued on the charges of adverse possession, your tax representative is in league with someone and should be questioned.
Ian looked grimly at her.
He had known since the very beginning that someone was behind the scenes and the claimant was just being a puppet. It could be a competitor or his own.
His little secretary was smart to realise this but he just wanted to keep the girl's mouth shut so he was going to use the hard way.
"Are you questioning the people I use for my jobs?"
"No I'm not__"
"Then I should question your intelligence as well Miss Kent. Just do your job and stay out of what you shouldn't be concerned about."
Shock was drawn on her face but Ian just went back to sipping his wine as if he hadn't just belittled her.
Simon was torn between who he should talk to by the way his eyes were moving from Nadia to Ian and back and forth.
When he decided to finally speak to Nadia, she beat him to it.
"Yes sir, sorry if I made an unnecessary remark."
She placed the folders back and gently placed them away.

IAN
He boarded the private jet and sat at his most comfortable area. Nadia followed him, went to sit on the opposite side facing him.
She seemed to enjoy looking out the window since he saw her glance outside a few times when she was sorting out the documents.
She was happy being on a private jet. He was certain. Anyway, it was her first and probably everyone's dream.
Ian had felt her presence since boarding the flight and he had stolen glances her way.
Simon sat beside him and nudged him gently.
He had discussed some matters with him and at one point, he saw Nadia looking at them with that facial that told the world she was left out of a girls gossip.
One she would have probably enjoyed but then, she had quickly resumed her composure and gone back to working.
A minute later, she picked her glass and sipped.
Ian removed his shades and decided to look in her direction. He wanted to see what expression she had on. He had seen almost seven since they went airborne but he wasn't expecting what happened.
She looked at him and their eyes locked.
He was caught off guard and before his brain cells ordered him to look away, he saw a smile tag on her lips. 'What the hell'. The feeling arising in him annoyed him.
There was no way in the name of the devil was he going to allow a woman to be his downfall and certainly not a girl like Nadia.
And then, she chose that moment to give her opinions about the lawsuit.
Who did this girl think she was or what position did she have to question him about people he chose to work with.
It dawned on him that she was a threat so he had no reason not to belittle her.
Making her feel unimportant and him the bad guy in her eyes might shallow his attraction towards her.
'Wait a minute... Attraction? Oh no it can' t be. It is not. Whatever. He was going to make her angry.
He rebuked her about questioning his competence and the lady went wide eyed. Surprise and embarrassment but her sudden response took him aback.
"Yes sir. Sorry if I made an unnecessary remark."
Well, most PAs will just shut up and bottle up their feelings. Wasn't that the normal thing? Was she trying to make him feel bad? Eish this d*mned little girl.
Ian knew she was hurt by his statement but she was handling it cooly. Who wouldn't be hurt.
She was twenty five but she seemed pretty matured than her age now in his eyes but d*mn if he was going to care.
Right now all he wished was for the jet to land in Spain soon.
The atmosphere was getting tensed and Simon was not speaking to anyone either except looking between them.
So much for being his buddy. Hmmph.
