The jet landed on the helipad of a famous hotel in Spain. The general manager of the hotel and some hoteliers had come to welcome them.
The three alighted the jet and were ushered into the hotel..
After the whole welcome ceremony, the three took the elevator to Ian's penthouse for a short meeting.
"Miss Kent, we'll handle everything. So you can go to your room and rest. I'll call you if I need you to do something."
Ian stated matter of factly.
"I'm sorry?" Nadia asked.
"What I mean is, just do your job as the secretary and stay out of the court proceedings. It will be over soon. Go to your room now please."
Nadia was beyond bewildered. She was dismissed just like that and angered.
Again. She shot daggers at her boss and stormed out of the room. Who did he think he really is.
Does being a boss make you so crazy to crazily annoy your employee?

NADIA
She took the elevator to the reception and took her keys. She went to her room on the seventh floor.
She took out her key card and unlocked her door. She stepped into the room and went to the bathroom to splash water on her face.
She was fuming.
"What? I'll call you if I need you to do something? Huh! Why did he even bother to bring me along if he was going to make me stay out of his business."
She splashed cold water on her face and looked at her reflection in the mirror. She closed her eyes and calmed herself.
She splashed more water on her face again and wiped with a clean towel.
Nadia walked to her room and decided to ring Keziah since she had nothing to do. She took out her phone and dialed. She sat down on the bed and waited for the call to connect.
After about four rings, Keziah picked up.
"Hey Nhardie"
"Hi Kez."
"You're already enjoying your first trip to Spain?" Keziah asked excited.
"I'm right now wishing I didn't come along and just had to sleep at the office whilst they did whatever it is they came here to do."
"Did something happen?" Keziah asked concerned.
"I'm not saying I regret taking this job this early but the boss is on a whole different level. He doesn't want me to make comments, participate in what they came here for.
And then he tells me to do the job of a secretary which I'm wondering what it is. "
"So you are not going to court with them?"
"Nope. He clearly made me understand that point. Bosses don't even attend proceedings themselves. He too might not go"
"You can not know for sure but this is great Nhardie. Enjoy yourself while you can. You remember you couldn't go to Spain with me during high school because you got the flu and fever?"
"Don't remind me of that."
Keziah laughed.
"There are a lot of places you need to visit. Grab this opportunity darling. I'm going to send you a list of places you have to tour.
If Mr. Angelic face doesn't want you around, don't sulk. Enjoy yourself in his account.
Take that as compensation. I do that all the time."
Nadia chuckled. "I knew talking to you was the right idea."
"Anytime. But what did you do to make your boss act?" "I did nothing. Its been a few days I started working. What could I possibly have done?"
Keziah was quiet for a while. "I can't think of anything either. Enjoy yourself."
"I will. I'll take a short nap and start my tour."
"Good idea."
They talked and laughed some more and Nadia finally dropped the call. She tried taking the nap but sleep wasn't coming. She wasn't a siesta person.
She decided to go for a swim. She had seen the pool outside when they had entered the penthouse.
She picked up her suitcase on to the bed and opened it.
Since it was summer, she had some bikinis packed in her bag. Twenty minutes later, she was walking towards the pool wearing a robe over her bikini and a book in her hand.
She sat by the swimming pool and basked in the sunlight.

Ian had finished his meeting with Simon and Simon had left to attend an errand.
He was now alone in the room. He removed his suit coat and unbuttoned his shirt. He folded the sleeves of his plain white shirt to the elbow and poured himself a glass of wine.
He took a sip and wandered to the floor to ceiling window of his penthouse, overlooking the hotel's garden and pool.
He was gazing at the greenery and sky blue water whilst drinking his wine when he noticed a figure approaching the pool.
A small well tanned young lady wearing a robe which was just above the knee and having a book in her hand, walking towards the pool.
That was definitely Nadia Gift Kent.
He had been a jerk earlier. He wasn't a man who behaved in such degrading manner because that was how he acted, degradingly.
He never behaved that way because he almost always never gave notice to people but the effects he was getting from being in the same vicinity with his secretary was worrying and he knew to cut of the part that worried you most before it gets worse and trouble comes.
He stood there watching her.
His brain told him to walk away from the window but his guts were talking in opposition. How was he supposed to make a decision?
'D*mn this girl'. She sat and relaxed by the water and covered her face with the book, basking in the sunlight.
Later, she removed her robe and Ian had to gulp the remaining wine. He almost choked on it.
She was curvaceous in every angle. She walked in to the pool and swam not caring a bit about the world revolving around her.
Ian felt his groin tighten. When he could not hold it any longer, he walked away from the window. He smashed the glass on the wall and walked into the bathroom.
He was going to take a cold shower. He needed it. His devil was trying to set loose.
