Katahara found himself in Training Field Number 0, where the entire area was covered with water from the village. The field was blanketed by a thick layer of water, creating a challenging environment for the ninjas and taking advantage of the aquatic abilities characteristic of Kirigakure.
The water moved in undulating waves as Katahara prepared to begin his training. His presence was imposing, and his eyes reflected the wisdom and knowledge accumulated over the years. His dark cloak fluttered in the breeze, and his snow-white hair cascaded over his shoulders.
In the training field were three children: Kosuke Momonosuke, Sao Temuri, the daughter of the elder Taro Temuri, and the last child, Matsu Hoshigaki, a genius of the Hoshigaki clan.
Next to Katahara stood a young Yagura Karatachi, a high-level jonin.
Momonosuke wore a simple outfit consisting of a shirt and pants, along with a bandana on his left arm bearing the symbol of the Kozuki clan, to which he belonged.
Sao Temuri was an enchanting and determined-looking girl. She had long, dark hair, which she usually wore loose, and her brown eyes reflected her bravery and self-confidence. She wore a traditional tunic of the Hidden Mist Village, with the symbols of the Temuri clan on the sleeves, honoring her lineage and pride in her family. Despite her young age, Sao Temuri displayed an innate talent for sensory and intelligence techniques, making her a promising prospect for Kirigakure's future.
Matsu Hoshigaki was an impressive and sturdy boy. He had dark blue, messy hair, giving him a wild and fierce appearance. His eyes were small and cold, reflecting the strength and ferocity typical of his clan, the Hoshigaki. He wore a traditional tunic of the Hidden Mist Village, with the symbols of the Hoshigaki clan on the sleeves, highlighting his belonging to this powerful family of shinobi. Despite his young age, Matsu Hoshigaki already demonstrated exceptional skill in his clan's techniques, earning him the title of genius and making him someone to watch closely.
Katahara, with a deep but calm voice, gave the signal.
"Begin."
Without hesitation, Momonosuke took the first step, his hands moving quickly to form seals.
"Fūton: Violent Wind Palm!" he shouted as a powerful gust of wind materialized in front of him, rapidly heading toward his companions.
Sao, always quick and strategic, reacted instantly. With a swift hand seal, she invoked an elemental barrier.
"Doton: Earth Wall!" The ground rose and partially blocked the wind attack, but not before the gust shattered part of the terrain.
"Katon: Great Fireball!" Sao responded, launching a massive fireball into the sky. The clash of elements caused a deafening explosion, sending steam rising across the battlefield.
Despite the initial chaos, Matsu Hoshigaki remained unfazed. With a cold smile, he performed hand seals.
"Suiton: Explosive Clash of the Lake!" From the calm waters beneath his feet, a torrent rose like a furious serpent, rushing toward his opponents. The water collided with the earth wall that Momonosuke had created to protect himself, turning the field into a mixture of mud and water.
"Doton: Mud River!" shouted Momonosuke, causing the earth beneath his feet to dissolve into mud, making it difficult for his rivals to move.
Sao took advantage of the distraction to act, her voice resonating firmly.
"Katon: Phoenix Flowers!" Small fireballs shot from her mouth, scattering in all directions, forcing her opponents to dodge with skill.
Matsu was not intimidated, channeling his water chakra with precision.
"Suiton: Water Missiles!" He formed several water projectiles that launched forcefully toward Momonosuke.
Momonosuke, focused and with the wind on his side, reacted instantly.
"Fūton: Drilling Air Bullet!" A rotating wind projectile shot from his hand, deflecting the water missiles and advancing toward Matsu, who dove into the water at the last second to avoid the impact.
The clash between the three intensified, each demonstrating great skill with their respective elements. Waves and explosions filled the field as Katahara observed in silence, analyzing every move. The battle reached a new level when Momonosuke decided to change his strategy. Using his combined earth and wind abilities, he created a powerful offensive.
"Doton: Earth Wall!" With a quick gesture, he raised a massive earth wall, trapping Sao and Matsu inside.
The two Kirigakure geniuses exchanged glances as they prepared for close combat. Sao, with a sly smile, stepped forward.
"Don't let us beat you so easily, Momonosuke," she said, with a spark of excitement in her eyes.
Matsu, with his characteristic serious tone, added:
"You've earned our respect, but this fight is far from over."
Momonosuke, breathing deeply, prepared himself.
"I'm ready. Prepare yourselves," he answered, showing unshakable confidence.
The exchange was fierce. Sao and Matsu attacked in coordination, looking for any weak points in Momonosuke's defenses. He, however, demonstrated impressive agility, dodging their strikes and launching precise counterattacks with punches and kicks. His hand-to-hand combat prowess was nothing to envy from his opponents.
Water splashed everywhere as the three young prodigies of Kirigakure faced off in a battle as exciting as it was technical. Every strike, every dodge, every jutsu was executed with skill, promising a bright future for the village. As the battle continued, Katahara, from his position, couldn't help but smile faintly with satisfaction. He knew that these children were the future, and in time, they could become the warriors Kirigakure would need in the years to come.
Momonosuke stood firm, his breathing still labored after the intense battle. Sao Temuri and Matsu looked at him with a mix of respect and awe, acknowledging his skill. Katahara, with his arms crossed, observed the three with a gleam in his eyes, pleased with what he had witnessed.
