On the island, a thin, long-nosed young man stood on a grassy hill overlooking the sea. He was using wooden binoculars to observe the blue waters. When he spotted a small boat with three crew members, his whole being urged him to run, but he resisted, even though his legs were shaking. Beside him were three children, to whom he gave a pirate flag and instructed to hide.
Soon, the boat reached the shore, and three men disembarked from it. The man with the long nose began to shout, though he stuttered.
Usopp: "I... I am Usopp the Great... I lead a crew of 8 million pirates... This island is under my dominion... Leave now... or face my wrath!"
Despite his trembling legs, he managed to utter his famous declaration while pointing towards the little figures behind him, who were waving pirate flags. Upon hearing him, the three men burst into laughter, seemingly unfazed. After their laughter subsided, they gracefully ascended a rocky path leading to the main town of the island. From there, they could see a tall palace in the center of the small island, which was one of the Gecko Islands.
Upon seeing this, Usopp and the three children cautiously followed Katahara and his group. Katahara turned to them and gave Usopp a terrifying look.
Katahara: "Follow me, and I'll kill you myself. Do you hear me, Usopp?"
This caused Usopp to fall to the ground, trembling with fear. The children behind him had already fled.
Life on the Gekko Islands was peaceful and ordinary. The sun was about to set, but the sky above their heads still held its blue hue.
Katahara: "Well, guys, it seems we part ways here. It was nice to meet you, Ace and Deuce. I hope to meet you again in the future."
Ace: "Thank you, Katahara, for saving us back there. I will forever be grateful. If you have any requests in the future, I will do my best to fulfill them."
Deuce: "I hope to see you again in the future, my friend. It was nice to meet you."
After bidding farewell to Ace and Deuce, Katahara headed to a plain on the outskirts of the village.
"So, this is Gecko Island. Maybe I have to deal with Kuro and his cat crew... To do that, I'll first make him call his entire crew and take them all down. And perhaps collect their bounties; they're worth a few million Berries," Katahara thought to himself.
Katahara said to the system, "Buy the following manuals: Suiton: Water Dragon, Water Clone Technique, Suiton: Water Wall, Suiton: Water Cannon."
The shop interface opened and displayed various categories, such as Weapons and Armor, Clothing, Healing Elements, Skills, Bloodlines, and Miscellaneous Articles. Katahara selected the Skills category and confirmed the purchase of the four manuals.
Katahara said, "Having a guide on what I need to do to perform these skills makes it easier than attempting it without any guidance."
Immediately, four manuals appeared in front of Katahara, which he stored inside his ring. He went to the farthest end of the island to practice without disturbing anyone and to avoid being seen.
Two months later...
Katahara practiced every day from dawn to dusk without rest. He alternated between sword training and studying his new manuals. The technique that took him the most time to learn was the Water Dragon technique, which required 44 hand seals, making it impractical for battle. The most he could reduce it was to 30 manual seals.
Katahara: "I think I'm ready to deal with Kuro and his crew, but first I have to change my appearance. System, open the shop and show me the clothing options."
Katahara: "Wow, there's an infinite variety of clothes of all kinds and sizes, but let's go for a classic look. Although I really like the attire of the captain of the 8th Division of Gotei 13, I'll opt for something more traditional. Buy the Akatsuki suit along with the Akatsuki conical hat."
[Akatsuki Suit: 100Cp] [Akatsuki Conical Hat: 50Cp]
Katahara: "Confirm."
After the clothes and hat appeared, Katahara removed Hejacket and donned a long black layer on the outside with a red lining. This layer extended to the ground and had a zipper to fasten it from below, adorned with red clouds. he also put on the Akatsuki conical hat, featuring white stripes along the edge on the inside, hanging down along with a small thin thread and a small feather. After changing, he felt very satisfied and began walking towards Kaya's mansion.
Upon arriving at the mansion, he noticed two guys standing on eitHeside of the loft. As Katahara approached, one of them halted her.
Guard: "Stop! State your purpose for coming here."
Katahara: "I have some business matters to discuss with Butler Klahadore, so please call him, or let me in. You decide."
(Klahadore is the name Kuro uses on the island)
Guard: "Go away. You are not allowed to enter the mansion, and we will not call Butler Klahadore."
When Katahara heard this, He activated HeSharingan and placed them under a Genjutsu. He then entered the mansion and encountered a tall, thin man with glasses and black hair. He was dressed in a black suit with two gold markings on a white shirt with a unique collar, featuring spiral bumps on the edges, and a standard black tie. It was the infamous Captain Kuro.
Kuro was accompanied by two identical-looking fat men and a man with glasses and a hat who walked with a peculiar gait. Katahara waited until Kuro met with them, and after a few minutes, he arrived wearing his typical butler costume, but with cat claws—a pair of leatHegloves with full-length katana blades at the end of each finger. Upon seeing him, Katahara activated HeSharingan and decided to descend to the shore to eliminate them all.
Katahara said, "Captain Kuro, you certainly excel at following orders." Before Kuro and his crew could respond, He ruHed towards Kuro and swiftly attacked him with Heblade. Kuro displayed agile footwork, allowing him to dodge the attack in time. Katahara sought to gain battle experience by engaging in combat with Kuro, as he had good skills but lacked real-life battle experience, so He wanted to use Kuro to hone Hefighting abilities.
After Kuro narrowly dodged the attack, he disappeared from his position, then advanced and swung towards Katahara's back. He turned and intercepted the attack with Heblade. Kuro vaniHed again and attacked from one side. Katahara executed a vertical cut to counter the attack, and Kuro retreated while making disorderly strikes. Katahara continued to clash blades with Kuro until He noticed an opening in his defense. He didn't wait for him to recover, charging in his direction to finish him off, but Kuro reacted in time, blocking Hewith his claw mitten.
Kuro asked, "Why are you attacking me? I don't remember having any hard feelings with you, so why?" Katahara replied, "You are simply the first of many who will fall by my sword, and as for why... just think of all that you did and what you are doing now, Kuro."
After saying that, Kuro started swinging his legs back and forth like 'Sonic.' His speed almost doubled, and he began to attack brutally. Katahara had some trouble dodging his strikes, but with the Sharingan, He managed to keep up with Kuro and adapt with every passing second. He could already anticipate and read every attack Kuro threw at her. At that moment, Katahara landed a slash on Kuro's left shoulder.
Kuro yelled, "HAAAAAAGG, damn it," and released his grip on Katahara. Then, he began to perform hand seals. Katahara said, "This is over, foolish one. Suiton: Water Dragon!"
On the island, a slim young man with a long nose stood atop a grassy hill, carefully watching the sea. He used handmade wooden binoculars to scan the blue waters for any suspicious movement. When he spotted a small boat with three crew members approaching the shore, an overwhelming urge to flee surged within him, but he forced himself to stay firm, even though his legs were visibly shaking. Beside him, three children watched, and he quickly handed them a pirate flag, instructing them to hide.
The boat finally reached the shore, and three men disembarked. The long-nosed man, trying to appear brave, began to shout, though his voice stammered with nervousness.
"I... I am the great Usopp," he said with difficulty. "I lead a crew of 8 million pirates! This island is under my control... Leave now, or you will face my wrath."
Despite his body trembling all over, he managed to deliver his famous declaration, proudly pointing to the small figures waving pirate flags behind him. The three men, far from being intimidated, burst into laughter and continued walking gracefully along the rocky path leading to the island's village. From there, the tall palace at the center of Gecko Islands loomed imposingly.
Usopp, still frozen with fear, helplessly watched the men walk away. Finally, he and the children began to follow them cautiously, keeping their distance. However, the leader of the group, a man named Katahara, suddenly stopped and turned his head, casting an icy stare in their direction.
"Follow me, and I'll kill you myself. Do you hear me, Usopp?" Katahara said, his voice cold as steel.
Fear completely overtook Usopp, and he collapsed to the ground, trembling, unable to move a muscle. The children who had been with him had already fled, disappearing into the trees.
Life on the Gecko Islands used to be calm and peaceful. The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in golden hues, though a soft blue still lingered high above.
"It seems this is where we part ways," said Katahara, stopping in front of two young men. "It's been a pleasure meeting you, Ace and Deuce. I hope to see you again in the future."
"Thanks, Katahara," Ace responded with a grateful smile. "You saved us before, and I'll be forever in your debt. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask."
"It was an honor meeting you, my friend," added Deuce, shaking his hand. "I hope our paths cross again."
After saying their goodbyes, Katahara headed toward the plains at the far end of the island. As he walked, his thoughts drifted to the recent intrigues he had uncovered.
"So, this is Gecko Island," he muttered to himself. "Soon, I'll have to deal with Kuro and his crew. But before I do, I'll summon his entire gang and eliminate them all at once. After that, I'll collect their bounties, which add up to several million berries."
Reaching a secluded area, Katahara murmured:
"System, purchase the Water Release manuals: Water Dragon Jutsu, Water Clone Jutsu, Water Wall, and Water Cannon."
The shop interface unfolded before him, displaying various categories like Weapons, Skills, and Miscellaneous Items. Without hesitation, Katahara selected the skill manuals and confirmed the purchase.
Immediately, the manuals appeared before him, and he quickly stored them in his ring. With determination, he headed to the furthest part of the island to train in solitude and master his new abilities.
Two months later, Katahara had devoted each day to training, from sunrise to sunset. Between studying the manuals and constant practice with his sword, he had made great progress. The most challenging technique, the Water Dragon Jutsu, required 44 hand seals, making it impractical for direct combat. However, after weeks of training, he managed to reduce the number of seals to 30.
"I think I'm ready to face Kuro and his crew," he murmured to himself. "But first, I need to change my appearance. System, open the shop and show me the clothing options."
After browsing several options, he chose a black outfit with red clouds and a conical hat, resembling the uniform of the Akatsuki organization. Once changed, he headed toward Kaya's mansion, where he knew Kuro and his crew would be.
Upon arriving at the mansion, two guards intercepted him.
"Stop! What's your purpose here?" one of them asked sternly.
"I have business with Klahadore," Katahara replied, using the name Kuro went by on the island. "Call him or let me in. You decide."
When the guards refused, Katahara activated his Sharingan and put them into a Genjutsu, causing them to lose their sense of reality. He then proceeded to confront Kuro, who was accompanied by his crew. Without hesitation, Katahara drew his sword and launched an attack. Kuro, with his characteristic agility, dodged the initial strike, but Katahara didn't relent.
The battle was fierce. Katahara used his Sharingan to anticipate Kuro's movements, quickly adapting to his speed. Although Kuro attacked with fury, Katahara eventually saw an opening. With a precise cut, he wounded Kuro on the shoulder.
"Damn you…" Kuro growled, retreating as he clutched his wound.
"This ends here, Kuro," Katahara said firmly. "Water Release: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
A great column of water rose from the shore, forming the shape of an imposing dragon. Within seconds, the dragon surged toward Kuro and his crew, destroying everything in its path. When the water dissipated, no one was left standing.
After inspecting the bodies, Katahara collected the heads of the pirates and made his way to Kuro's ship. Using water clones, he sailed to the nearest naval outpost, where he would claim the bounties.
Four days later, Katahara arrived at the port, carrying the heads of the pirates. The marines watched him with fear until a lieutenant approached.
"Who are you?" the officer asked, sweating nervously.
Katahara threw him Kuro's head.
"I'm a bounty hunter. These are the heads of Kuro and his crew."
The marine lieutenant was stunned to hear the name. Although the naval outpost had been established in the region for years, the Black Cat Pirates had been an elusive target, evading capture with cunning. The fact that someone had defeated a pirate with a bounty of 16 million berries, a considerable threat in the East Blue, was nearly unthinkable.
With the pirates' heads before him, the lieutenant examined them meticulously, ensuring they were indeed Kuro and his crew. Then, his eyes focused more intently on the man who had brought them.
"So, it's the Black Cat Pirates!" the lieutenant exclaimed, still in disbelief. "What's your name, bounty hunter?"
There was a brief moment of heavy silence before the man spoke.
"Katahara D. Uchiha," he responded in a deep, firm voice, leaving the lieutenant with an unsettling feeling.
The officer, trying to maintain his composure, nodded slowly before continuing.
"You'll have to wait," he said, with a slight hesitation in his voice. "Our captain is out on patrol. When he returns, I'll inform him about your reward. I'll handle the paperwork. It's... 39 million berries in total. That's a considerable sum, so you can collect it tomorrow."
Katahara nodded emotionlessly.
"I also want to sell this ship," he added, his calm intimidating.
The lieutenant adjusted his uniform collar, feeling the pressure in the air between them.
"We can offer you 2 million berries for it," he said, trying to sound more confident than he actually felt.
"Understood," Katahara replied, turning around. "I'll be at the tavern."
And with that, the bounty hunter left the office, walking toward the island's only tavern, leaving the lieutenant in a mixture of relief and confusion as he tried to process what had just happened.
