"Please your highness, it's fine," The young man said and placed her hand down and patted him on his head.
"Are you all right?" she inquired.
"I am fine, my lady, thank you," he responded and she smiled.
"You're most welcome," she said.
"Listen carefully," Julia said, and the people bowed before her, causing her to flinch.
"You don't have to do that; all I want to do is talk," she explained.
"We know, your highness, but please accept our apologies for allowing that to happen," a man said, and she smiled.
"It's fine, you don't have to; please get up, all of you," she replied, and they did.
"Listen to me, I know he is the man who has made your life miserable child, but that is not his fault, he is not going to be defined by who his father was, he is a good kid, you cannot treat him as if it is his fault, am I clear?" she asked.
"Yes, your majesty," they said, and the young man smiled.
