"Winter. Rony had invited us to the club with him. Praying All night. Are you in?" Her Fifi friend asked.
"I don't know. I don't feel like being pretty." Winter replied as she put the customer money inside the POS cash register.
Winter wasn't into partying all night long knowing what happens in these party's and after what happened last time. She's not going to risk going to a nightclub again while she's high. "You know what happened last time." She said, reminding her.
"Oh, you're no fun. You're wasting all the fun. Cocaine is all about partying all night without a wink of sleep. It's like you're the one who controls the time." Fifi spoke in a low voice with nothing to see on her friend's face.
Winter was tempted for a moment before she realized that she was falling for the Fifi trap."I will try to come. of course, I'm not going to miss all the fun." She replied."Now let me do my work and go do yours." She added as she took the goods from the next customer.
"Okay. Call me if you decide to come." Fifi said as she walked away.
"Thirty dollars. Sir." Winter said to the customer.
____
"This won't do. It cost five hundred and you only have three hundred." Rony said, staring at her.``You have been consuming too much lately. Winter. You need to watch yourself." He added.
Taking the money from him. Winter put it inside her bag."By tonight I will bring the whole amount. Keep it ready for me." Winter said before she walked away. Stopping a taxi. She got into it.
Entering her apartment. Winter closed the door and walked towards her parents' room. Standing in front of the door. She opened the doorknob with a shaking hand. Pushing the door open. She stepped inside the room and walked towards the closet. Opening it. She took the small Jewelry box and left the room.
_______
Inside the jewelry shop.
Winter watched as the shop owner weighed her mother's gold jewelry. Deep inside she felt ashamed of herself for what she was doing. But the dark side of her mind that is consumed by the need of that drag in her system blocked all the rationality in her.
"It's In good condition. Also, it has two small diamonds in it. My price will be Fifty thousand." The female shop owner said.
"Deal." Winter replied.
Counting the money. She put it inside her bag and took out her phone. She texted him.
