Inside the car. Winter was starting outside the whole ride. She didn't know where Aiden was taking her and she didn't ask. For unknown reasons she trusted him. The man had every chance to hurt her physically if wanted to but instead, he was careful with her. It felt good to be taken care of.
Aiden turned to look at Winter who seemed to be enjoying the night's cool breeze. He wanted to ask her about it earlier but he didn't. Winter was like a thin piece of glass that could shatter to pieces at the slightest pressure. She was fragile deep inside. Filled with sadness.
He wanted to make her happy. He wanted to cherish her. He wanted to be more to her. To trust and rely on him.
Reaching the place he decided to take her to. Aiden stopped the car in front of a beach house.
Looking around her. Winter reached for the door and opened it stepping outside the car. Immediately the briny smell of the sea invaded her nostrils. Calming and relaxing small.
Winter closed her eyes and took a deep breath, releasing it through her mouth. She opened her eyes and turned to look at Aiden.
"Do you like it? It's the quietest place I could think of." Aiden asked as he closed the car door and joined her.
Winter smiled and nodded her head."It's perfect." She replied.
Taking off her shoes. She started to walk barefoot on the scent, feeling its softness curl between her toes.
Aiden did the same and followed her.
Winter had stopped going to the beach after she started using cocaine. She was scared that people would find out by the needle marks injections in her arms. It's been more than four years since she last came to the beach. She was glad that Aiden brought her here.
Turning to look at the beach house. She wondered if it was his house.
"It's my friend's house. He asked me to sell it for him. He went to live in Madrid now." Aiden explained seeing her questioning eyes. She looked so beautiful right now.
"It's a beautiful place. I wouldn't sell it if I was in his place." Winter said, staring at the endless sea. The moonlight falls on the water surface creating a breathtaking sight that should be photographed. Taking out her phone. She took a picture of it.
"Come here." Winter said stretching her hand to him to take it and he did.
Snuggling close to him. Winter sighed. The moment was peaceful and perfect. As if they were real lovers on a date night.
Warping his arm around her waist. Aiden kissed her on the top of her head.
