Chapter 50 - Silent Despair

David took a few steps. Kamou thought he was finally leaving her apartment. Just as she was about to relax a bit David grabbed her from her arms and pushed her against the wall. The sudden movement and rough force caused the back of her head bang against the wall slightly.

"You really think I would give up that easily?" he said gripping her hands harder.

"David...! Let go of me." Kamou struggled to get her hands free, still recovering from the pain in her head.

"No Babygirl. You need to be taught a lesson. You forgot everything I taught you when you were little." David's expression got really dark; he was mad.

"Nooo.... please, let me go David." Kamou struggled. The skin on her hands was getting red because of his tight grip.

"Girls should know how to obey. You have grown up to be such shameful woman, I'll discipline you." David got close to her; she could feel his breathe on her neck. Kamou was disgusted by it.

"I won't let you do it." Kamou with every ounce of her strength shouted the words out.

She kicked David between his legs and got free from him. David bent a little whimpering in pain. This was her chance, Kamou rushed to her cell phone. She couldn't run out of her apartment; David was in her way. She needed to send a SOS for help soon.

With her phone in her hand, she quickly made her way towards her bedroom. Kamou knew she had nowhere to go, she needed to wait it out till help arrived. Her plan was to lock herself up in her bedroom till then. Hardly had she taken two steps when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Kamou's mind went into a trance, she needed to protect herself.

"You really think you can run from me?" David said roughly making her body turn towards him.

With a loud crash, piece of glass shattered on the floor. Before turning, Kamou was able to get hold of the flower vase. She made sure to him it as hard as she could. It was her only chance to escape. She looked at David, the vase hit him on his right shoulder. Soon blood came dripping down his right arm. David was already on the floor groaning in pain.

'Now...! Run Kamou...' She thought as she made her way towards the apartment door.

"Bitch...!! You aren't going anywhere after this." David roared as he grabbed Kamou ankle and dragged her down to the floor.

Kamou fell on the floor, with a loud thump. The pieces of glass on the floor caused small cuts on her legs. Her whole body went sore due to the fall, she landed right on her stomach. These were least of her concerns at the moment. She looked at David who was now hovering over her, his eyes filled with rage. She had never seen eyes like that before; it terrified her so much that her body shivered.

"Look at this. See what you have done." David said grabbing her jaw in his hands, forcing her to see his wounded shoulder.

"You are gonna pay for this." With that he slapped her on her right cheek.

The slap was so hard that her ear started ringing, a red hand print appeared on her pale skin. Her whole body was sore but she didn't stop her struggle. She looked at him with utter disgust in her eyes. She fought him with all her might. David locked her body under him; at one point she was unable to move even a little. The more she tried to wrestle her way out, the weaker her body got.

After the long brawl, multiple attempts to free herself, her clothes torn from place, her body almost at its limit, she fell into a hopeless despair. She tried the little struggle her body could put up, while tears started flowing her blank eyes. She felt the horror as his hands roamed on her body. His mouth was on the nape of her neck as he mercilessly bit and sucked on her skin.

'Is this it? Wasn't everything that happened enough? After all this why do I still have to go through this?' Kamou's thoughts went spiraling into her childhood memories of abuse.

Her body had given up, she lay there under him like a dead body. Stream of tears rolled down her lifeless eyes. Memories that she had buried in the corner of her mind came rushing back. Days when David raped her, the self-hatred she felt for now being strong enough to protect herself, her mother who never came to help her while she shouted her lungs out, the coward little girl who was too scared to comit suicide. There was not a single happy memory that came to her. It would have been much better if she had the courage to jump into the waters that day when it first happened. She wouldn't have to go through the same pain again and again.

Laying on the ground, her blurry eyes fixated on the chandelier, sparkling above her. Someone picked her up and placed her gently on the couch. Unbothered about her surrounding, she kept staring into a distance, her tears won't stop flowing. She could hear voices in her background, she wasn't able to comprehend what was happening. She was too broken to care even if she died at that very moment.

Juho rushed into Kamou's apartment using the spare key he had. He clenched his jaw when he saw David over her body. He rushed to him, without giving him a chance, he caught David and dragged him off her body. Juho was so harsh in his actions that David almost fell on the floor, unable to balance himself.

Juho's eyes fell on the woman who was lying on the floor in front of him. He looked her from head to toe, her delicate body was covered with cuts and bruises, her clothes torn. Tears rolled down her motionless eyes as she stared blankly at the ceiling. His heart dropped as he saw the woman he loved in that condition. Never in his life had he experienced such overwhelming pain.

Juho bent down and gently carried her in his arms. He placed her on the couch and covered her up with his coat. He turned to David; his eyes were intense as if he could burn down the whole world.
