Chapter 30 - 22nd November

Taehee booked a suite in Hilton Seoul for Kamou and Juho's date. He called the hotel staff and gave them specific instructions regarding the booking. After things were set on track, he sent the booking details to Kamou. She needed to get to the hotel before Juho did.

Taehee called Juho, to invite him to the room. It was a Saturday morning and Juho would most probably be free for the evening. Soon Juho answered the call.

"Hey Bro, I am throwing a party today. It's been long since we all met, lets catch up in the evening. I have sent you the location, it's a private suite, let's get wild." Taehee said.

"Cool, I'll be there by 6 p.m." Juho said accepting the invite.

"Okay, see you in the evening." Taehee said hanging up.

In the afternoon, Kamou stood confused looking at her wardrobe. It was an important day for her, she knew she would meet him. She knew if Taehee was involved, Juho would definitely show up. Deciding her outfit for the day she got changed.

She wore blue denim, with a solid black turtleneck. It was getting cold outside so she decided to grab her beige color over coat with her. She sat in front of her vanity, getting ready for her supposed date. Kamou covered her face in light makeup, the red shade on her cheeks made her face look more alive.

Kamou left for the hotel. There were some things that needed to be done at the hotel. She knew that Taehee would have taken care of most of it, yet she wanted to look for herself.

************************

Kamou checked into the suite and she was surprised once she stepped in the room. It was private suite with a bedroom, a separate living and dining area and a lavish bath. The city's skyline was visible from the bedroom, which looked beautiful. The living area was elegantly decorated with some flowers, which gave off pleasant scent. The dining area already had expensive vine bottles laid out. It seemed perfect for a small getaway.

Taehee had already talked to the staff and made sure that no one disturbed the two during their time of stay. He personally looked into the details and sent his manager to get the preparations done. Kamou couldn't express how thankful she was. She owed him big time.

Kamou sat there alone waiting for Juho to come, her anxiety talking over her. It was already 6 P.M., he would be here any minute now. Her heart pounding against her chest, she tried to calm herself down. In her mind she tried hard to prepare lines on how she is going to confess her love. She kept on repeating the line she prepared again and again.

Kamou stood in front of the mirror to practice her lines for the last time. The looked at her reflection and started to speak, she got nervous and kept forgetting no matter how hard she tried.

'Get it together, it's not the first time you are memorizing lines. You can...'

Someone knocked on the door while Kamou was busy giving herself prep talk. Kamou turned around to look at the door.

'No not now. I am not prepared yet.' she pleaded inside.

There was another knock on the door, Kamou dragged her feet towards the door. She had no other choice than to answer it. She unlocked the door and Juho was standing right in front of her.

They both looked at each other, it seemed like time had just stopped. It was almost a month since they last met. They stood there looking into each other's eyes, their eyes showed the sense of longing they felt for each other.

But happiness didn't last for long, Juho's expression turned cold. He walked inside the room to meet Taehee. Meanwhile Kamou closed the door behind. He looked around, calling out for Taehee but he got no response from him.

Juho turned towards Kamou with an irritated expression. "Where is he? Can you tell me what's going on?"

"Juho, he is not here. I asked him to call you here and he helped me. I wanted to talk." Kamou replied in a soft tone.

"Talk? Is this a joke?" He said, taking steps towards the door.

Kamou knew what he was trying to do. He would leave soon and she had to do something really quick. She walked fast behind him, caught his right wrist in both her hands. Her sudden touch made Juho stop in his tracks.

"Kamou, let go of my hand." He said without turning back.

"No, I won't, I won't let you go today. Juho, you need to listen to me." she pleaded.

"You promised me, you would wait for me to come back from London. No matter what happened, you have to listen to what I have to say. I can't keep it inside me any long." she added.

"Fine. Make it quick." Juho replied arrogantly.

"I don't love Taehee." she said with a serious tone.

"Like I would believe that." Juho gave a sarcastic laugh.

"What I thought to be love was just an infatuation. Taehee and I are just good friends." she started narrating her story.

"That night we both were out for drinks and came in late. Taehee was so wasted, I had to walk him to his room. I did just that."

"Why are you telling me all this?" Juho said not wanting to hear any further. He thought he was aware of what happened next.

"Because I care. I care about what you think of me." Kamou said, her voice rising a bit.

"Can I know why? Why bother with me? I mean nothing to you."

Juho's voice cracked a little. He wanted to know the reason why she was trying so hard. She showed up at his door, lured her into this hotel room. Why? What was the reason for her desperation?

Kamou knew it was her chance. She knew what she had to say, she had been preparing for this moment for some time now. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath she said it.

"Because I love you."
