Chapter 7 - Air Drops Make People Go Crazy

According to his travel route history on the map, Han Gui had searched more than ten houses in a row. That was already more than half of P City. Han Gui was feeling really good because this place was like a treasure trove. Ten houses in and he had already found three level 3 armors!

Han Gui was also able to find a level 3 helmet though it had a pretty low drop rate.

But Han Gui felt much more at ease with a level 3 helmet. Forget about the M24, as long as there was no AWM, no one would be able to instantly kill him.

At this moment, an explosion suddenly came from afar.

Buzz, buzz, buzz.

Looking through the window, Han Gui immediately widened his eyes and exclaimed,

"An air drop?"

Air drops were great opportunities in PUBG as they could contain level 3 defensive equipment, top-tier weapons, accessories, and the 'Voldemort' Ghillie suit. As long as one was lucky, one could get rich just from air drops!

Han Gui did not know if Infinite Game was deliberately leading the players into battle, but when the air drops landed, Han Gui received a hint.

[Ding! Dear Player 088, there will be an airdrop in your location, W125. The air drop will contain a Ghillie suit, a level 3 helmet, a level 3 armor, an AWM, magnum bullets, a 15x scope, an M249 light machine gun, an MK14, and many other top-tier pieces of equipment.]

If there was no notification, those who had never played PUBG wouldn't know what they were missing out on. When the notification ended, Han Gui was sure that those newbie players would definitely be jealous.

The tactical panel contained specific descriptions of guns and defensive equipment, such as the damage level of an AWM and the defense level of a level 3 armor This air drop undoubtedly increased the possibility of survival.

How many people could be rational when faced with such hopes of survival?

Still, Han Gui leaned against the wall by the window and didn't dare to make a move yet. Those who had played PUBG knew that regardless of how awesome the air drop items were, it would be foolish to rush out to it immediately.

Every time he picked up an item from an air drop in the game, he would be attacked by an unknown number of parties. If it was simply the PUBG game, he wouldn't be too worried. But he was now playing with his life on the line!

Han Gui's equipment wasn't considered top-tier. Even with his M24 and level 3 helmet, he did not dare to take a chance. He'd rather fish - sit and wait.

He had already used his 4x scope to look around. There were no cars on the roads nearby or even further away, not even in parking lots and garages.

This was a f*cking running game. No wonder the power grid was moving so slowly. Otherwise, they would have probably been electrocuted to death.

He opened the tactical panel to take a look. The size and location of the safe zone had already been refreshed. He was lucky. P City was in the new safe zone, but it was already at the edge. The next time the safe zone's location and size were refreshed, P City would probably not be in it anymore.

The safe zone was moving towards the airport. He would have to wait at most half an hour before he would start running ahead of schedule.

The speed of the power grid was not fast, but it was not slow either. At this rate, it would take more than three hours to spread from S City. He would have enough time to run, stop on the road, and fight in a few encounters.

Just as Han Gui was thinking about the power grid, he suddenly heard faint footsteps in the distance. It was very faint but if Han Gui had not been vigilant, he probably would not have heard it.

He braced himself and looked through the window. He saw that a man had unknowingly appeared on the grass. He wore a level 2 helmet and a level 3 armor while carrying an S686 and an AKM.

The man was very nervous as he ran very quickly. Han Gui could see the madness in the man's eyes through the 4x scope. He was probably a gambler.

But Han Gui was in no hurry to shoot. Shooting now would only alert the others. This man might have gotten ahead, but the players behind him would not dare to come out.

Han Gui waited. There were at least ten people in P City including him. Even if the others had killed each other off, there would be at least one or two people left besides him and the man he was watching.

With only Beginner Gun Mastery, it would be impossible for the others to kill in one shot.

The distance of the air drop was about 100 meters from the man. The man was running fast and when he had closed the distance to about 50 meters, more footsteps could be heard approaching.

Han Gui's eyes were filled with excitement as he held his M24. He knew that the others could no longer be patient.

Da! Da! Da!

The sound of running footsteps was mixed with the sound of gunshots coming from dozens of meters to the left. Gunshots also started coming from the right.

There was definitely more than one person left besides Han Gui and the man.

There were at least three others. Including the man in the front, there were four people! Four people meant 4,000 points!

Han Gui's eyes almost turned red! This was exciting. These four people were walking points!

Da! Da! Da!

The ear-piercing sound of gunshots rang out across hundreds of meters. In the end. the man's desperate howl broke the peace of P City.

Crazy! They were all crazy! The man and the shooters!

No one wanted to die. Everyone wanted good defensive equipment and good weapons! Only by getting to the airdrop would they have more hope of surviving!

Shooting with Beginner Gun Mastery at 100 meters was difficult. The man may have been shot but it wasn't from a direct aim since the others would not have been able to properly aim with the strength of their gun's recoil while running. The man must have been shot by a stray bullet.

The three crazy players finally appeared within Han Gui's field of vision.

It was also at this moment that Han Gui closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and opened them again suddenly.

He held his breath and focused. His vision was clear with the 4x scope. The ferocious M24, with its long barrel and black silencer, was about to show its teeth.

He pulled the trigger with his finger and the muzzle of the M24 released a stream of shots like fireworks.
