The training field at Realm consisted of two underground floors of the main building holding meditation, sparring, gym and equipment rooms while they were connected to a huge field with a shooting range, track field, swimming pool and terrain modifier field for obstacle courses.
Arriving in front of the equipment room I saw Mr. Hawk standing their sternly observing the group of students in front of him while looking at his watch from time to time. Only then did I remember how strictly punctual our class supervisor was...
Quietly joining the group of students I stood their observeing the surrounding group and my eyes couldn't help but stare at a particular individual.
Brandon Watt rank 1 amongst the first years, dirty blonde hair emerald green eyes a very handsome face which could rival any star model out there, but what stood out about him was his monstrous potential.
One couldn't help but become jealous about it after all he has a dual elemental mana circuit of dark and fire attribute, along with the special constitution of a giant granting him herculean raw power and to top it all he has awakened the stigma of 'destruction'. Just having any one of these would make others green with envy but here he has been given all this in a single body as if he was born to become a protagonist.
Actually apart from his special 'privileges' his commoner background also stands out quite a lot, since it isn't every year that a commoner dominates the Realm ranking.
"Alright everyone who has assembled here can now enter and pick up a suitable weapon for yourself but remember to register yourself before taking it out of the room. Also remember any damage done to the weapons will be compensated from your pocket so handle them with care..." the stern voice of Mr. Hawk brought me back from my thoughts as I switched my attention back to him.
"You have another half an hour to decide your weapons after which you all will gather at the sparring ring for a quick mock battle to test your compatibility with your chosen weapon helping you to later select a good manual for it. Now go, your time has already started..." after reminding us he turned around and left without wasting any time.
The group of students looked at each other in confusion before rushing inside the equipment room.
Entering the room one could see shelves after shelves filled with all sorts of weapons from sword and bow to light sabers and plasma cannons the whole room was soon filled with exclaims of all the students as they excitedly browsed through the weapons.
Shaking my head slightly at their reaction I navigated my way towards my trusted partners in my previous timeline my precious twin swords. I soon found them in the sword section, they looked plain and simple but quite practical with sharp edges which was exactly what I was wanted.
What's the use of a fancy sword with all the decoration when they are useless in a battle not to mention the additional weight.
These were a perfect set of weapon for me with their high attack power and speed I could overcome my weak physical strength, and because I always think its better to deal 10 strikes in a second than a single one or it could just be my mentality after fighting hordes of demons.
After registering my twin swords at the gate I found an open space to familiarize myself with my new weapon. Performing some basic sword moves like a slash and stab I sheathed them on my back and moved towards towards the sparring room.
Some students were still busy choosing while others were already getting familiar with their new weapons, such a scene reminded me of the past when I naively choose a light saber just because it looked cool and had to suffer for a full year before switching back to a normal sword.
While its true that plasma weapons are effective against demons and angles but their true value lies in the fact that they can be used by untrained people easily, but for trained heroes their worth diminishes as they have a fixed mana output making them less flexible for various situations.
At the sparring ring I saw figure that sent shivers down my spine. It was rank 2 Bella Von Gracious the elven princess I could never forget her in my life as in the future her name alone would cause her enemies to tremble in fear. Even now those students who knew about her maintained their distance from her despite her captivating beauty with violet hair, obsidian black eyes and milky white skin.
All this was because oh her mana attribute which was very rare death attribute and her awakened stigma of 'shadow dimension'. She was basically a walking calamity in the future with her army of undead which knew no fear or pain and could revive endlessly until she had mana.
Subconsciously distancing myself from her I waited for our class supervisor Mr. Hawk to start our sparring lessons.
I was a little excited to know how far I can go with my current condition and to finally be able to try my stigma in actual combat.
Seeing that every one has arrived Mr. Hawk finally started to brief us about the rules for the spar which were quite simple.
All the students were allowed to challenge anyone of higher rank than theirs but couldn't challenge anyone of the lower rank, disarming our opponent or making them surrender was required to win the dual but deliberately injuring our opponent will result in a heavy punishment and finally, use of mana to directly attack was forbidden.
Right after he finished telling us the rules he opened a holographic screen with our names on it and called us one by one to choose our opponents for the spar.
I decided to test the waters safely so I choose rank 110 someone named Drake Hudson he was 2 ranks above me so it was still quite feasible for me to hold out against him, but what surprised me was that the last rank student picked me as his opponent.
Learning this I didn't know whether to laugh or cry and could only give him a pensive glance. Before moving towards the ring...
