I was preparing my favorite set of silver knives ready to end that bitch's life when Sophira called out to me in a panic. "Theres an army of wolves here, and they have a witch breaking down the barrier!" She shouted and disappeared.
"FUCK" I shouted in frustration. I ran down to Cici's cell knives in hand. I grabbed a pair of gloves and entered. I pushed a rock at the back of the cell and the floor opened, thank the goddess I was prepared for something like this. I put the gloves on and unhooked Cici from the ceiling and dragged her using the silver chains and disappeared through the tunnel leading back to the pack house. "Come Cici, see your packhouse one last time before you die."
I couldn't let her be rescued, not now when I was so close to ending her. As I exited the tunnel, her limp body being dragged behind me, I ran out of the pack house to see the rear of the army starting to move on the now unearthed bunker. I made it out just in time I thought as I grinned.
I turned and ran towards the woods behind the pack house, I needed to end this now before they realized she's not there. I kept running until I felt I had enough distance from them so that they wouldn't smell her blood.
This clearing was going to be her resting place, I grinned down at her unconscious form crumpled on the ground. I wanted her to be alive when I killed her, but I didn't have time to wait for her to come around anymore. Either way I was going to get the ending I wanted.
I reached down and lifted her head by her hair as I slid my silver knife across her throat as deep as I could. Her blood began to pour from her wound and bind with the soil of the forest. I knew that would be enough but for a little extra satisfaction I stabbed her in the chest a couple of times., I had to get a small amount of satisfaction from this kill.
Alpha Ash's POV:
I reached the pack house just as Darius, the tracker and the warriors did. I ran inside but heard nothing, I could smell her though, she had been here.
The tracker shifted and started work, he howled, and we all shifted to follow him.
Please be ok, please be ok. Oh, goddess made sure she lives please.
I feel stupid for waiting for the witches to take down the other witch before entering, he has a lead on us now. 'But he's dragging her so he will be in human form and slower' Victor encouraged me but I still felt stupid and hopeless.
We came into an odd kind of clearing; I had a horrible sense of Deja vu. I'd been here before... how was that even possible?
The tracker stopped by a fallen tree and howled; he had found her.
I ran over and saw her bleeding out on the floor. Of course, I had seen this all before, this is what I saw in my dream the night she left. I shifted and held her in my arms and sobbed, how was I supposed to help her now, her throat was slit.
I knew if I moved her, she would bleed out faster and I would never make it to a hospital.
Darius had shifted and placed his hand on my shoulder, "Alpha." he started, then he seemed to have changed his mind and softened his voice to say, "Brother, I'm so sorry."
"Don't say that!" I screamed. "She still has a heartbeat, there has to be something we can do?!" I sobbed even harder as I help her. "I love you Cici, hold on for me my Luna."
The tracker shifted and interrupted, "I'm sorry to interrupt Alpha but I have her father's scent, shall we follow it?"
"Yes, warriors you follow and capture him alive, he has to pay for what he's done today. Alive, remember, I want to be the one to kill that son of a bitch!" I growled.
"Yes Alpha." And with that I was alone with her, I didn't know where Darius had gone but right now, I didn't care. She was here in my arms, but her life was slipping away and I was helpless to stop it.
Darius's POV:
We had found her bleeding out on the forest floor. My goddess how is this how it ends? My brother will shatter without his mate, he needs her.
My heart broke for him and his open show of pain. He was sobbing and holding her, I had failed them both. How did I not sense anything she was going to do? I could have stopped her from leaving if I had just paid a bit more attention to what she was up to.
I shifted and placed my hand on his shoulder, "Alpha." I started, then I changed my mind, he didn't need me here as a pack member, he needed me here as family, and I softened my voice to say, "Brother, I'm so sorry."
"Don't say that!" He screamed. "She still has a heartbeat, there has to be something we can do?!" He sobbed even harder, I couldn't help either of them. "I love you Cici, hold on for me my Luna." He whispered to her.
The tracker shifted and interrupted, "I'm sorry to interrupt Alpha but I have her father's scent, shall we follow it?"
I didn't wait to hear his reply I shifted and was running back to the witches; it was a long shot but maybe just maybe they could help!
I shifted and grabbed a pair of shorts from some random room in the pack house and continued to run down the field.
"Raven, Aaron, Anna, Aurora, please help" I shouted as I got close. They all turned to me, "we found her but she's bleeding out and we can't get her to the hospital before she dies. Is there anything you can do? I'm begging!" I practically cry out.
"I can't promise anything but take us to her and we will see" Aaron said stepping towards me. "Hold out your hands and think of the place you found her, I'll teleport us there" he said as they linked hands and Anna and he held out their hands to me.
Goddess, please let me get this right. I pictured the clearing we found her bleeding out in and I felt a sudden vacuum like feeling as my body seemed to disappear from in front of my own eyes.
