He climbed into his own carriage angrily. As he sat down in the carriage and the carriage began moving towards their destination, he glanced at where she once sat.
He ran his hands through his short hair and groaned frustrated. Why was she trying so hard to run from him when she clearly loved him?
Aurora could finally breathe fresh air when she sat with Helen in the other carriage. It was not decorated fancily but it was better than being forced to share a carriage with the Duke.

The king watched his Beta who was trembling before him on his knees. "So what wrong did you commit?"
"I could not protect you."
"When did I seek your protection? I bet you will be the luckiest if I die. You should stop mistreating yourself by kneeling her.
"You stopped me but I guess I was too foolish to listen to what you said. I am fine now. I guess that is what matters must, right?"
The Beta found himself in very difficult situation listening to what the Alpha said. He was prayed him king meant nothing by the words he spoke.
Noticing his Beta began trembling more than earlier if that was actually possible because of his joke, he shook his head.
"That was a joke," he told him with a wave of his hand. "You should not take it seriously."
He was not scared of anyone or werewolf taking over his position as king because the last thing any of them could do was kill him.
. . . except one person. He groaned angrily as he stood up and walked out of throne room.
His wolf has been very angry with him over his plan to take his war towards the west earlier than planned for vengeance.
"You should not be angry with me at all," he said as he walked down the hall way. "The only way we can ensure all the supernatural are safe is by conquering every single kingdom and make it ours."
" . . ."
He hated the fact that his wolf was ignoring him. He did not like such feeling because he was not used to it at all.
It has been over a week since his wolf responded to him last and he did it because he hated the fact that he had being occupying himself with the company of women and forgotten about playing his role as king.
He found that very unreasonable and had said a few angry words at his wolf including something about being powerful without him.
He has never been so unreasonable to have such a thought or even ever allowed it to slip out of his lips but he has been very irritable these days and he has done more harm than good to both himself and his kingdom.
He was still angry no matter how hard he tries not to be. He was angry with his wolf for taking control when she tried to stab him.
He was also angry with himself for letting his wolf take the lead even when he was in his human form.
He has never really thought of his wolf as a different existence from his human form.
He always believed that they were one just like the body and the soul are one.
But things changed since his wolf began dictating things to him about his so called mate.
He was hurt when she stabbed him and so was his wolf but he did not understand why his wolf was still willing to forgive her when he was clearly against it.
"I am sorry, okay?" he apologized when he stepped into his room and had the door closed behind him. "I am giving you a chance to talk to me now, okay?"
He knew such a thing will hardly make his wolf listen to him but he was trying hard and he was getting no notable result.
He reached for a cup of water and gulped it down. He was not weak without feeling the presence of his wolf in him but he felt totally incomplete and it was killing him.
"What if I find your woman for you?" he asked sitting down on a chair on the balcony. "I will find her and bring her here as my Queen and Luna of my pack."
". . ."
"Now this is getting really frustrated. Are you really not going to talk to me?"
He picked up a familiar scent approaching the door of his room despite the fact that he was sitting outside with the breeze blowing around.
He stood up went to the door. As soon as the person arrived, he opened the door without giving her the chance to knock.
"What news do you have for me, Oracle?" he asked her with a tight smile.
"It is not bad news your majesty. The Goddess wants me to let you know that the power that awaits you in the bosom of your mate is more than any being will ever acquire."
The king paused and looked at the young beautiful woman who no one will believe was already a century old.
"You should also stop doing things all alone. You will lose your purpose the moment you let the wolf in you go.
"Your power lies in him. He is the real Alpha while you are just a king," the woman's fearless voice warned him.
It won't be normal if he does not get angry due to the statement she just made about him but he bit back his anger. "It is not possible for him to go."
"Yes, but it is very possible for him to hide away from you."
The king found what she said funny and could not help but laugh. "If I die, he dies."
". . ."
She gave him no comment for his statement.
She might be a messenger of the goddess but she was still only a member of his pack and she knew very well that she had no right to speak when the King was beefing with his Alpha wolf.
